Objective
To assess the impact of dynamic and compressive orthosis on daily life for patient with impaired proprioceptive system.
Method
In this article is presented two case study along with hypothesis on the effect of the orthosis on daily activity for handicapped people with impaired proprioception: Rett syndrom and chromosomal anomaly with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) associated.
Results
The orthosis has an impact on several everyday activities by helping difficult activities for the patient like walking or refine manual coordination. Also, it has a preventive action, by lowering fall risk or facilitate gripping approach.
Conclusion
The orthosis can’t substitute the reeducation nor the associated equipment like corset. The effect of this system appears positive and sustain the interest of French studies to promote and facilitate the use for our patients on daily basis.

The objective is to study the epidemiological and clinical profile and determine the factors associated with gross motor function in cerebral palsy patients. We conducted a descriptive cross-sectional study with prospective collection of patients (between 0–16 years old) who were diagnosed as cerebral palsy and referred for possible treatment at the reception and rehabilitation center for maladjusted children during the period. from July 01, 2021 to 01 June, 2022. Patients with progressive encephalopathy and those with genetic neurological pathology were excluded. A total of 117 children meeting the inclusion criteria were recruited. The male sex was the most represented with a sex ratio of 1.60. The mean age at diagnosis was 26.9 (± 12.46) months or 2.24 years. The aetiologies found were mainly perinatal with a frequency of 67%, mainly dominated by prematurity. Spastic cases were the most dominant (71.4%), topographically, (73.2%) of our population was quadriplegic, on the GMFCS, children classified as grade IV and V tend to represent two thirds of our population. population. CT abnormalities were found in 83.8 % of patients who were able to perform a brain scan. In total, 63.6 % of patients presented with seizures as an associated disorder. The main aetiologies of cerebral palsy are perinatal causes mainly dominated by prematurity, neonatal asphyxia and sequelae of kernicterus, health programs should focus on areas aimed at improving prevention, care and education of the various stakeholders.

In order to improve the care of children with severe psychomotor impairment, this project proposed to apply the interventional model of pediatric palliative care to children without life threatening conditions. An initial semi-directive interview carried out at family homes made an inventory of the situation of the children and their families. The care needs identified led to interventions for 6 to 12 months. A care quality assessment questionnaire and an open satisfaction questionnaire were sent to the families. The 28 families included expressed difficulties and shortcomings in their health course. The needs relate to the medical, psychological, and social spheres, underlining the need for linking the different partners of care. The interventions mainly consisted of coordination, as well as the start of projects for requests for respite and training, particularly in pain assessment. The end-of-study questionnaires particularly show satisfaction with the initial interview, but no impact on quality of life was found. We found that the parents of children with severe psychomotor impairment are asking for an extended interview in their living environment to express their difficulties and their needs, as is usually offered by palliative care teams. The various requests from families can be answered by linking the different care partners, but also by setting up systems dedicated to severe psychomotor impairment.

Objective
To analyze the different stages of the medical and rehabilitation follow-up of children with cerebral palsy (CP) before their admission to the PMR department.
Methods
Cross-sectional study analyzing the care pathway of 58 children with PC before their admission to the MPR department of the Yopougon University Hospital over the period from June to September 2018.
Results
The majority of children with male CP (58.6%) were the first or second child in the siblings. The parents lived as a couple (84%) and resided in the city of Abidjan (87%) but the children lived with both parents in 77.6%. Diagnosis made in a university hospital (46.5%) or in a clinic private (29.3%) by specialists in pediatrics (53.4%) and neurology (34.5%). The time to diagnosis was more than 6 months in 55.2 %. These parents used several therapies: medical (62.07%), traditional (31.03%) and spiritual (6.90%). The most used therapeutic route was medical-traditional-medical (29.3%). The factors influencing the choice of route were the parents’ culture and beliefs (75.9%) and family and economic factors.
Conclusion
Need to develop a precise therapeutic circuit for children with CP.

Basal stimulation is a humanistic and psycho-pedagogical approach that takes into account the fundamental and specific needs of people with severe disabilities. It invites people with restricted perception, movement and communication abilities to meet in their daily lives. The basal approach helps to find ways of meeting through touch and by a right physical and psychic proximity in the activities of daily life, taking into account the singularity of the person, as well as their difficulties and their motor, sensory, relational and cognitive skills. It is neither a manual nor a recipe book because the basal approach is not a method but a way of thinking and reflecting on the support of people (children and adults) in situations of great dependence and vulnerability by putting the person, his or her skills, resources and way of being in the world at the centre.

Introduction
Cerebral palsy is the largest cause of motor deficiency in children. However their best practice recommendations for rehabilitation spark debate. The relevance of the work of “motor development milestone” is criticized in this regard. This study aims to identify the professional practice expectations and to observe whether invariants can be observed during care built on the work of “motor development milestone” for children with cerebral palsy (CP) in order to know whether they meet these expectations.
Method
A literature review was conducted to identify the expectations of professional practice for the rehabilitation of CP children using qualitative analysis sorted by thematization to construct an analysis grid. An observational study of practice by a selfconfrontation interview with 3 independent physiotherapists was carried out. The interviews were analyzed using the grid in order to first identify possible invariants of practice and then, if necessary, to link them to the expectations of professional practice.
Results
Forty-one “sub-headings” were identified to describe the professional practice expectations for the rehabilitation of CP children. Analysis of the self-confrontation interviews showed that 24 subheadings were common to all 3 observations. The subheadings most represented in the literature review were most often encountered during the sessions.
Discussion/Conclusion
The results suggest that there are practice invariants in rehabilitation using NEM for CP children and that they partially meet practice expectations. The development of good practice guidelines, the EBP and patient expectations require justification of therapeutic choices and their performance. Their formalization must be developed in order to make them assessable according to validated scientific standards.
