ResLoc: Deep residual sharing learning for indoor localization with CSI tensors ResLoc:基于CSI张量的室内定位深度残差共享学习

Wi-Fi based indoor localization has attracted great interest due to its ubiquitous access in many indoor environments. In this paper, we propose ResLoc, a deep residual sharing learning based system for indoor localization with channel state information (CSI) tensor data. We first introduce CSI data in wireless systems and show how to build CSI tensors for indoor localization. Then, we present the design of ResLoc, which employs dual-channel, bi-modal CSI tensor data to train the deep network using the proposed deep residual sharing learning in the offline phase. In the online test phase, we use newly received CSI tensor data to estimate the location of the mobile device based on an enhanced probabilistic method. The experimental results show that the proposed ResLoc system can obtain submeter level accuracy with a single access point.

This paper addresses a multi-lingual enhanced Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) system “MulLinR”, which clears up language-specific problems of previous RSVP tools, which do not support language which are written continuously (non-spaced) and spelled with non-alphabetic characters. We develop a prototype system, which currently supports Japanese and Chinese, and experiment with variation of presentation time intervals. We have experiments as a feasibility study and discuss usability.

Implementation of multipath network virtualization scheme with SDN and NFV 基于SDN和NFV的多路径网络虚拟化方案的实现

Multipath algorithms except Equal-Cost Multi-Path(ECMP) which has been widely used in networks are difficult to apply, because multipath provisioning is more complex at cross layers and multipath routing need to get all nodes' information. To address the dilemma, this paper proposes a multipath network virtualization implementation scheme with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV). In this scheme, SDN schedules network resources in a global view for selecting multiple paths and computing weight of each path, and NFV provides computing and storage resources to split flow, add tag, recover flow, to name a few. This paper also proposes a multipath algorithm for elephant flow with network virtualization. Besides, we build an experimental platform based on OPNFV and SDN, and conduct experiments under this experimental platform. The results show that our proposed algorithm applied on multipath network virtualization experimental platform has superior performance than ECMP applied in networks without virtualization.

Outage probability analysis for α-μ/κ-μ and κ-μ/α-μ fading scenarios α-μ/κ-μ和κ-μ/α-μ衰落场景的中断概率分析

In this paper, we obtain novel analytical formulations for the outage probability (OP) in scenarios with α-μ or κ-μ faded signals of interest (SoI), and κ-μ or α-μ faded co-channel interference (CCI). Both single and multiple interfering scenarios have been considered, and exact formulations are provided when the SoI experiences α-μ fading and the CCI experiences κ-μ fading. When the SoI is subject to κ-μ fading and the CCI is subject to α-μ fading, exact and highly accurate approximate OP expressions have been derived for the single and multiple interfering cases, respectively. We also analyze the asymptotic behavior of the OP when the average signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) of the SoI is significantly larger or smaller than that of the interferers. Monte-Carlo simulations are performed to verify the derived results. It is worth highlighting that these general expressions are important as they unify the CCI for a number of previously disjoint fading scenarios.

mmWave channel propagation modeling for V2X communication systems V2X通信系统的毫米波信道传播建模

We make the connection between next generation wireless standards (5G) and vehicular communication systems. We advocate the importance of transmissions in the millimeter wave band as the only ones capable to provide the Gbit/s data rates required for raw sensor data exchange among vehicles. In this context, our paper describes methods for deriving channel propagation models via ray-tracing simulations for mmWave transmissions with applications to vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications. It also addresses aspects related to blockage modeling, the effects of diffuse scattering and multipath fading in urban scenarios.

Weighted fast iterative shrinkage thresholding for 3D massive MIMO channel estimation 三维海量MIMO信道估计的加权快速迭代收缩阈值法

Fitting the huge number of pilots needed for massive multiple inputs multiple outputs antennas (MIMO) channel estimation within the available time and frequency resources is a challenging problem. Generally, compressed sensing (CS) channel estimation algorithms face the dilemma of trading off the estimation accuracy and the computational complexity. In this paper, we propose a weighted fast iterative shrinkage thresholding algorithm (W-FISTA). The proposed algorithm provides higher estimation efficiency with the same complexity as the original FISTA. With low computational complexity, multiple measurement vectors (MMV) version of the W-FISTA is proposed to estimate the 3D massive MIMO channel. The proposed MMV-WFISTA estimate the channel coefficients by exploiting its joint sparsity structure in the angle-delay sparse domain. The complexity analysis and the simulation results indicate a clear improvement in the performance of the proposed MMV-WFISTA over joint estimation algorithms.

On throughput maximization based on optimal update interval in Li-Fi networks 基于最优更新间隔的Li-Fi网络吞吐量最大化研究

The access point (AP) in many cases requires information about the channel condition of user equipment (UE) for better resource allocation and scheduling purposes. Although this feedback information can contribute to enhanced performance, it is at a cost of uplink throughput degradation. Limited feedback (LF) techniques offer the ways to reduce the amount of feedback at the AP. Light-Fidelity (Li-Fi) is a new high-speed and fully networked optical wireless technology where its channel is fairly static. Considering this feature, we proposed a new LF method based on the channel update interval. The optimum value for the update interval has been derived and it can provide maximum sum throughput of uplink and downlink. Results confirm that the proposed LF method can yield enhanced overall throughput compared to the traditional LF techniques.

Wireless power transfer in cooperative dual-hop relaying systems with beamforming over generalized fading channels 广义衰落信道上具有波束形成的协同双跳中继系统的无线功率传输

In this paper, we analyze the performance of decode-and-forward (DF) dual-hop relaying networks with wireless energy harvesting at the relay node over the generalized η-μ and κ-μ fading channels. In the analysis, the source and destination nodes are equipped with multiple antennas, whereas the relay node is equipped with a single antenna. Exact analytical expression for the system outage probability (OP) is derived and evaluated. The derived OP expression considers two practical energy harvesting techniques, namely, time switching-based relaying (TSR) and power splitting-based relaying (PSR). Some numerical examples are provided to study the overall system performance under different system parameters, such as fading parameters, energy harvesting time, power splitting factor, and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Our numerical results are supported with Monte-Carlo simulations to validate the accuracy of our analysis.

In the analysis, the source and destination nodes are equipped with multiple antennas, whereas the relay node is equipped with a single antenna. Exact analytical expression for the system outage probability (OP) is derived and evaluated. The derived OP expression considers two practical energy harvesting techniques, namely, time switching-based relaying (TSR) and power splitting-based relaying (PSR). Some numerical examples are provided to study the overall system performance under different system parameters, such as fading parameters, energy harvesting time, power splitting factor, and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). An analytic solution for computing RSTD uncertainty in generating assistance data for OTDOA positioning OTDOA定位辅助数据生成中RSTD不确定性计算的解析解

OTDOA (Observed Time Difference of Arrival) is a positioning method available in LTE. User Equipment (UE) that supports OTDOA requires assistance data from a location server. The quality of the assistance data directly impacts the UE measurement accuracy. The assistance data are specifications of a reference and neighbor cells for UE to measure. Expected RSTD (Reference Signal Time Difference) is included with the neighbor cell information. An analytic solution for computing the Expected RSTD and Expected RSTD uncertainty is proposed. The analytic solution is applied during generation of assistance to avoid possible PCI (Physical Cell Identity) ambiguity in OTDOA positioning. The overall goal with this analytic solution is to increase the final OTDOA positioning accuracy.

Power control in ARQ transmission with wireless energy replenishment 带无线能量补充的ARQ传输中的功率控制

In this paper, we focus on fundamental point-to-point wireless transmission with a reverse feedback channel for automatic repeat request (ARQ) and propose wireless energy replenishment (WER) for the transmitter with ACK or NACK signal sent back by the receiver. In such a case, transmission power control affects not only transmission reliability at the receiver but also WER performance at the transmitter and transmission sustainability. Hence, dynamic power control for the transmitter is investigated to optimize the expected number of transmitted bits in multiple timeslots and such a problem is modeled as a finite-horizon Markov decision process (MDP), which is further solved via the backward induction algorithm. We evaluate the transmission performance with impact of channel condition, WER performance, number of timeslots as well as modulation scheme and show that transmission with WER outperforms that without WER, especially for moderate channel condition.
