In the rapid development of global market, there is an urgent need for manufacturing enterprises of China to provide training to its employees to ensure their continuous competence in handling their task. E-learning systems provide a variety of instructional aids and communication methods, and offer learners great flexibility as to the time and place of instruction. Given these advantages, it is not surprising that business and educational institutions are making substantial investments in e-learning systems. This paper proposes E-learning system architecture for employee's education in manufacturing industry that incorporates the functions of manufacturing training materials, scenario case base, and database in terms of integrating web-based and collaborative problem solving methods in manufacturing collaborative scenario training based on knowledge management.

As an example of SIMS (Student Information Management System) developed independently by School of Information Science & Engineering of Shandong Normal University, this paper introduces database design, specific realization of each function module and key technologies used in the system. In the. NET environment, using ASP.NET technology, Visual C # and JavaScript as programming language, this system accesses the database of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with ADO.NET technology, and could be employed by users with high security following the access control mechanism of RBAC(Role-Based Access Control) on Web Services.

Wired and wireless networks are significantly different in terms of bandwidth, speed, propagation delay, and channel reliability. In particular, pocket loss due to bit corruption over wireless links may be misinterpreted by TCP as the indication of congestion that forces TCP to reduce its congestion window and enter the congestion avoidance phase, which reduces TCP's throughput dramatically. In this paper, we propose three techniques that operate at different layers of the traditional protocol stack in order to gain better performance in heterogeneous networks. We have combined these techniques together and established a detailed experimental evaluation both individually and in concert. The simulation results show that it has improved network performance and achieved much more goodputs than TCP-SACK and Snoop.

Developed an approach to identify the authenticity of signatures based on the variance, Experimental dataset was from SVC2004 Database, we combined variance into Dynamic Time Warping algorithm to calculate the intra-class distance (between real signatures) and inter-class distance (between real-forged signatures). The results show that the former is far less than the later, so we draw the conclusion that the deviation between real signatures is smaller than the real-forged ones when people signature. The method in this paper is simple and efficient, It also has strong stability and good recognition rate.

Microfluidic devices appear to offer important opportunities for modern research, especially for the clinical diagnosis, drug delivery and biomedicine research due to their numerous advantages, such as very low reagent consumption and waste generation, fast reaction time, high reaction efficiency and a large surface to volume ratio. Therefore, microfluidic have been paid much more attention by the researchers in recent years. Functionalized magnetic nano-particles can be used for a large number of microfluidic applications and have attracted a great attention during the last few years because of their unique properties of tunable anisotropic interaction. This paper reviews the development of microfluidic chips based on magnetic nano-materials in biomedical applications. The future research directions of microfluidic as well as their applications were also discussed.

E-education involves e-teaching and e-learning along with the various administrative and strategic measures needed to support teaching and learning in an Internet environment. But right now the solutions for E-education are not efficient because of the integrated service realization and delivery. To tackle these problems, in this paper a P2P based service platform is proposed. By adopting service-oriented architecture, we can supply service more flexible. And P2P based technology will efficiently reduce the data stress of platform and realize conveniently service enrollment and management and so on. We also illuminate a typical case to describe the detailed interaction of platform.

Distributed workflow scheduling is a hotspot in recent workflow research, it aims to finish the execution in the shortest time and use the system resources sufficiently. In this paper we put forward a Pre-Calculated Scheduling Algorithm (PCSA) based on the characters of distributed workflow system. In this algorithm every workflow will be pre-calculated before they are deployed into the workflow engine, analyzing every possible simple path in the flow, each activity will get a sorted execution node ranking, so the workflow instances will always chose the execution node close to the optimal one. In this way the algorithm can make each workflow instance has the minimum execution cost and transport cost. Our experiment indicates that the algorithm has a preferable distributed execute efficiency. This algorithm can fits the need of the student registration system well.

Implementing Electronic Clinical Pathways (ECPs) is important and necessary in the digitalized hospital. ECPs could not only improve the efficiency and quality of patient care, but also help medical staffs to share vast medical information, which is difficult with paperbased pathways. So computerization of paper-based Pathways is the key point in executing the ECPs, however, there are no general methods to represent Clinical Pathways. The objective of this study is to adopt the ontological approach to capture and represent the Clinical Pathways. We analysis the structures and characteristics of 10 Clinical Pathways and try to build a Clinical Pathway Ontology, which is constituted by four main units: (i) Timeline; (ii) Category of Care; (iii) Outcome Criteria; (iv) Variance Record. This Clinical Pathway Ontology will make a great contribution to design the ontologybased ECPs prototype integrated into Electronic Medical Record.

Aiming at the special requirements oriented to the education field, this paper proposes an intelligent search system based on semantic web. Under the guidance of the users' needs and the proposed Education Information Intelligent Search (EIIS) framework, the EIISReasoning mechanism and its relevant rule sets are constructed to automatically reason the search concepts in order to self-adapt semantics to more levels, where the semantic factor SR and the response time factor TR are both introduced to detail field application requirements. After this, the EIISRanking algorithm applies two levels ranking by the weight factor of semantic similarity, and the same relevance is differentiated in terms of education field needs. The case test shows that the semantic based intelligent search system takes on a better precision rate, and the ranking algorithm can improve execution performance.

In this paper, the dilation and translation transforms of the mother wavelet are taken as the values at different points, and combining with the discreet wavelet transform theory and the mean idea, the mean model and related algorithms for one-dimensional (1-D) and a kind of multidimensional wavelet networks are proposed. And simulation instance analyses proved that the algorithm is effective, general and easy to be realized by programs. Performance comparisons of four different initialization algorithms are also proposed, and the comparison shows that the algorithm proposed in this paper is more effective and general than other algorithms.
