Feature-level signal processing for odor sensor arrays 气味传感器阵列的特征级信号处理

A recurrent back-propagation neural algorithm is trained to classify nine odors. The algorithm is capable of correctly identifying the odors regardless of the time sequence of presentation. The classification is performed in near-real time and is based upon the transient response of an array of 15 tin-oxide gas sensors.

A new approach for nesting problem using part decomposition technology 提出了一种利用零件分解技术求解嵌套问题的新方法

Since a large portion of the complexity of the part nesting problem stems from the overlap computation, the geometric representation is one of the most important factors to reduce the complexity of the problem. The proposed part representation method can easily handle parts and raw materials with widely varying geometrical shape by using the part decomposition technique. This considerably reduces the amount of processed data and consequently the run time of the computer. The introduced part decomposition method in the research is a computer-aided approach by using the quadtree encoding. The adopted nesting routine is a global layout process which consists of two states: the initial layout, where a reasonably fine part layout is obtained by the SOAL (self-organization assisted layout) algorithm, and the layout improvement, where the final layout is obtained by the SA (simulated annealing) algorithm.

Gain-scheduled PI speed controller for PMSM drive 用于永磁同步电机驱动器的增益调度PI速度控制器

In this paper, we propose a gain-scheduled scheme for a proportional-integral controller for speed control of a permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive. A conventional fixed-gain linear proportional-integral (PI) controller fails to provide satisfactory transient performance under varying operating conditions. In the proposed gain-scheduled scheme, the proportional and integral gains are allowed to vary within a pre-determined range and therefore alleviates the problems faced by the fixed-gain PI controller. The performance of the proposed scheme has been studied extensively through digital simulation studies for speed control application. Simulation results obtained so far show improvements in transient as well as steady-state responses over conventional fixed-gain PI controller.

Modeling of subharmonics and chaos in DC motor drives 直流电机驱动的次谐波和混沌建模

In this paper, the nonlinear dynamics of both voltage-mode and current-mode controlled DC motor drive systems are presented. The investigation is based on the derivation of the discrete mappings that describe their system subharmonics and chaos in the continuous conduction mode of operation. It illustrates that different bifurcation diagrams can be obtained by using different modes of control while varying the same system parameters. A unified modeling approach for the period-1 and hence the period-p orbits as well as their stability analysis during both voltage-mode and current-mode of control is proposed and verified.

A Petri net based approach for FMS performance evaluation 基于Petri网的FMS性能评价方法

In this paper, a Petri net based approach to evaluate the performance of manufacturing systems is proposed. Starting from the Petri net model of the plant, it is possible to make a set of assessments of its performance under various operating conditions. These conditions include the change in the topology of the plant, for example concerning the effect of moving some machines from one cell to another, in order to assess the impact on overall performance. The advantage of the performance evaluation approach the authors propose is evident: the designer can assess the effect of any modification in the topology of the plant before it is actually made, and thus decide in advance whether to introduce it or not. The proposed approach is applied to a real semiconductor plant. Here the transport system, which must deliver the products to the relevant machines, plays an essential role in the performance of the plant. The evaluation of the impact on the overall performance of the topology of the machines the transport system must connect appears very interesting. After a brief description of this plant, the Petri net model and the results obtained through simulation are carefully described. They highlight an increase in performance through suitable changes in the topology of the plant.

A robust model reference adaptive controller for UPS applications 一种用于UPS应用的鲁棒模型参考自适应控制器

A novel robust control approach to obtain a nearly sinusoidal PWM inverter output voltage for a single-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) has been investigated. In the proposed scheme, a voltage source inverter and its corresponding RLC load-filter are controlled, based on the robust model reference adaptive control (RMRAC). Different to the other presented control strategies, such as dead-beat, one sampling ahead preview (OSAP) and adaptive repetitive controller, this scheme is able to compensate unfavorable errors, switching cyclic fluctuating loads and also unmodeled dynamics loads. An on-line adaptive learning algorithm is described which guarantees steady-state controller stability. The principles, stability, robustness, and special features of the control scheme are discussed and the UPS system is presented. Experimental results are presented to verify the feasibility and performance of the proposed approach.

A magnetically coupled regenerative turn-on and turn-off snubber configuration [for boost convertor] 一种磁耦合再生开关缓冲器配置[用于升压变换器]

This paper presents a magnetically coupled regenerative turn-on and turn-off snubber configuration applied to a boost power converter which operates in the continuous conduction mode (CCM). In addition to reducing the stresses in the switch, providing soft transitions in its turn-off voltage and turn-on current, it transfers the entered stored in the snubber capacitor to the load. This is achieved by using a coupled inductor mounted on the main inductor of the power converter, which resets the capacitor voltage at each switching period. Design equations, as well as experimental results, are presented, showing the high efficiency of the boost power converter by using the proposed snubber.

Take a look back upon the past decade of direct torque control [of induction motors] [感应电机]直接转矩控制十年回顾

More than ten years have passed since the direct torque control strategy of an induction motor was first reported. The strategy has featured direct control of a stator flux vector and an output torque instead of the conventional current control technique which had been employed in the field-oriented control, and has given a systematic solution to improve the operating characteristics of not only the motor but also of the PWM inverter. In this paper, looking back upon the fruitful past decade and looking at the present state of the strategy, several key techniques are reviewed. One of the techniques is improvement of the basic performance which was enabled by means of a double-parallel PWM inverter, and has made ultimately quick torque response possible. Another technique is relevant to robust control, which makes the system insensitive to both stator and rotor resistance. Also, the latest technique, which contributes to enhance system performance further, is also referred to.

Digital excitation system for a small brushless synchronous generator 小型无刷同步发电机数字励磁系统

Automatic voltage controllers for small size brushless synchronous generators have traditionally utilized analog electronics. Modern voltage control systems are beginning to utilize the power, flexibility, and cost advantages of microcomputer for control. This paper presents a digital solution of the voltage control system for a low power brushless synchronous generator with separately excited exciter. The digital voltage system is tested on a laboratory model with a synchronous generator (54 kVA) and characteristic loads.

Path tracking controller for a tractor with multiple trailers 多挂车牵引车路径跟踪控制器

In this paper, the authors discuss an articulated vehicle robot consisting of one tractor and two trailers as actually used in industrial plants. Because of the articulated vehicle, one must consider the safety of the rear trailers. Therefore, the authors propose a new path tracking control system that can adjust velocity and steering angle by fuzzy reasoning and prediction as well as modify the steering angle with the margin of deviation for the safety of rear trailers.
