Bidirectional transmission of analog/digital data and video signal via optical fiber for use in reliability test 通过光纤双向传输模拟/数字数据和视频信号,用于可靠性测试

This paper describes a simple version of the full duplex optical fiber transmission system and its application to vibration measurement. An optical circuit configuration of this transmission system is simplified using a laser diode package with a built-in photodiode for monitoring the laser output power. This transmission system can simultaneously transmit digital data of up to 9600 bps in one direction, and analog data of DC to 100 kHz and an NTSC color video signal in the opposite direction through an optical fiber. This transmission system was applied for vibration measurement. While digital control data was transmitted from the monitoring room to the testing room, analog vibration data and a video signal were transmitted from the testing room to the monitoring room through the transmission system. Digital control data was used to determine the sensing position for the vibration sensor. Analog vibration data was obtained from the vibration sensor. A video signal was used to specify the measuring point. Vibration of components was three-dimensionally read from the vibration sensor.

A new architecture for high-performance programmable logic controller 一种高性能可编程逻辑控制器的新架构

The authors developed an economical programmable logic controller (PLC) with high efficiency suitable for plant control systems. This PLC compose of several cards with various functions. The main processor card determines the efficiency of a PLC. Therefore a PLC's efficiency can be improved by upgrading the main processor card. Also, the main processor card constitutes nearly all the cost of a PLC. Therefore a PLC's cost could also be reduced by restructuring the main processor card. In a conventional main processor card, operations are entrusted to either microprocessing unit (MPU)-based processing or application specific integrated circuit (ASIC)-based processing. Main processor cards need architectural redesign in order to improve efficiency and to reduce cost simultaneously. The conventional ASIC-based processing is partially replaced by MPU-based processing, and the rest of the processing remains assigned to an ASIC, which serves as a control co-processor. The MPU and the co-processor share the tasks of control language processing and control operation that used to be performed collectively by the conventional ASIC. The new main processor card, consisting of an MPU and a co-processor, has faster processing speed, larger capacity and lower price than the conventional model, because of the functions of the co-processor, the MPU/co-processor configuration and task sharing between them. This new main processor card enabled the authors to develop a PLC that is more efficient and economical.

A CAD package for fast simulation of regulated DC-DC converters in large-signal 用于大信号下直流-直流稳压变换器快速仿真的CAD软件包

This paper presents a CAD package for the fast simulation of regulated DC-DC power converters. Operating under the MATLAB environment, the package can offer accurate dynamic responses of the closed-loop system even when large-signal disturbances are involved. Thanks to a proposed large-signal modeling approach of the switching circuit, and the capability of MATLAB of solving nonlinear differential equations efficiently, the difficulty in simulating the switching circuits can be overcome. The model for the whole topology and the control scheme closing the feedback loop can then be easily built. In this paper, the modeling of PWM switching circuits and zero-current-switched quasi-resonant switching circuits are discussed, and simulations of the four basic topologies are presented. All of these features are realized through a user-friendly interface to the CAD package.

The characteristics of a new model based controller for single phase PWM rectifiers 一种基于模型的单相PWM整流器控制器的特性

A model based controller suitable for application to single phase voltage sourced PWM rectifiers has been developed. The new controller effectively eliminates the problem of harmonic distortion of the line current due to the 100 Hz output ripple being fed back via the voltage controller. In the past the necessity to maintain low harmonic content in the input current has required the bandwidth of the control loop to be restricted. This problem is resolved in the model based controller due to substantially greater attenuation of the output ripple. This paper investigates the effect of various parameters on the performance of the control system.

DC brush-less servo motor drive systems using automatic learning control-based auto gain parameter tuning scheme 直流无刷伺服电机驱动系统采用基于自动学习控制的自动增益参数整定方案

In this paper, the authors describe an advanced control method of system parameter auto-tuning implementation for a DC brushless motor drive system using fuzzy reasoning logic with an automatic learning control function. This method includes three features: (i) it is not necessary to input some kind of fuzzy rule to the servo system before starting autotuning operation; thus fuzzy rules can be automatically produced in learning a logical process; (ii) no knowledge or information of system parameter tuning techniques are required; and (iii) both high speed response and robustness can be obtained. The feasible effectiveness of this auto-tuning processing approach for DC brushless servomotor drives are practically confirmed through experimental results.

Drive cycle evaluation of soft-switched electric vehicle inverter 软开关电动汽车逆变器驱动周期评价

This paper investigates the efficiency of an electric vehicle inverter using zero-voltage-transition (ZVT) topology. The ZVT topology design and operation is explained. Steady state operating points are used to show efficiency improvements. Next, the dynamic performance of the ZVT circuit is measured using drive cycle profiles for city and highway driving. Energy use evaluates the effectiveness of the ZVT inverter compared to the hard-switched inverter.

A fuzzy PID controller optimized by genetic algorithms used for a single phase power factor pre-regulator 基于遗传算法优化的模糊PID控制器用于单相功率因数预调节器

An optimized fuzzy PID controller for a single-phase power factor-corrected power converter (PFC) used in an online UPS is proposed in this paper. The parameters of this fuzzy logic PID controller, such as input membership functions, output membership functions and inference rules, are selected and optimized by genetic algorithms (GA), hence the tedious and time consuming parameters tuning process normally associated with a fuzzy logic controller design is eliminated. The selection and optimization criteria is based on time domain specifications such as response time, percentage of overshoot, etc. For a step reference, the simulation shows excellent results in terms of response time and output overshoot for a step reference. This design approach provides an attractive method to select and optimize the membership functions and inference rules of a fuzzy logic controller when it is used to control a single-phase PFC power converter.

Auto-tuning control of self-commissioning electric drives 自调试电力驱动的自动调谐控制

This paper proposed a new auto-tuning self-commissioning (ATSC) control scheme for the positioning control of a DC drive for general-purpose servo applications. The ATSC controller consists of three major parts: a basic servo controller (BSC), an auto-tuning controller (ATC), and a self-commissioning controller (SCC). The proposed ATC is a generalized two-degree-of-freedom auto-tuning controller, it can be used to tune any two parameters of a controller without knowing its detailed control algorithm. The proposed ATSC control scheme has been applied to a DC drive for verification. Simulation and experimental studies of the ATSC DC drive have also been given.

High performance control and estimation in AC drives 交流驱动器的高性能控制和估计

High performance control and estimation techniques for sensorless drives are very fascinating and challenging subjects of R&D and they have received wide attention in the literature. The paper briefly surveys the modern high performance drive control and estimation methods for AC motor drives. The voltage-fed cage type induction motor drive has been considered in the paper but the control principles can be extended to other types of drives using different types of converters. The vector control methods, advanced scalar controls and adaptive and optimal controls are discussed. The intelligent control with fuzzy logic and neural network has been particularly emphasized. Finally, the estimation of feedback signals has been reviewed.

Overview of electrochemical double layer capacitors 电化学双层电容器概述

Electrochemical liquid double layer capacitors (ELCC) are energy storage devices with properties intermediate between batteries and electrolytic capacitors. The commercial success of carbon based ELCC is due to their low cost, extremely high cycle life, and wide range of operating temperatures. They are used mainly for power backup for electronic circuits where the properties mentioned above give ELCC advantages over rechargeable batteries. ELCC are a promising candidate for load leveling applications in electric vehicles and also pulse power applications. Nonaqueous electrolytes, such as organics, solid polymers, and inorganics offer higher energy densities due to the greater decomposition voltages. Advanced ELCC will likely use metal oxides or conductive polymers to provide higher energy and power densities than carbon based ELCC.
