This research is focused on identifying the effectiveness of climate financing intermediaries based on the comparative study of Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Main aim of the research is to analyze main differences of activities of financing intermediaries in distinct states. Kazakhstan and Ukraine, two CIS countries have similar environmental description, but not alike commitments to climate issues. Ukraine is the best post-Soviet country through climate change performance indicators, while Kazakhstan is believed to be in the bottom of this list worldwide. The hypothesis testing showed that the quantity of the intermediaries in the state does not play a vital role, as three global intermediaries as EIB, EBRD, and IBRD that can be found in both states, showed different performance, resulting being more active and advanced in Ukraine than in Kazakhstan. This relates to the state’s general interest in committing more actions into its own environmental policies. Kazakhstan, according to postcolonial theory, emphasizes economic benefits more than environment, whereas Ukraine pays more attention to renewable energy and climate change. Therefore, what makes the intermediary better in Ukraine is its close cooperation with the global institutions that provide such financing. After the Euromaidan and war in Donbass, Ukraine changed its political direction to Europe, where largest intermediary – EBRD – is based. To maintain independence from Russia, Ukraine strongly determined to switch to renewable energy. That is why its cooperation with EBRD, and other intermediaries is substantially emphasized by government.

The study analyzes the volatility spillover effects of cryptocurrencies and foreign exchange market in Nigeria, covering a two-year period from September 19th, 2019, to September 19th, 2021. It captures a period where the domestic and foreign economy experienced a series of challenges, reflecting on its financial markets and cryptocurrency. The study adopts the Vector Autoregressive - Multivariate Generalized Conditional Heteroskedastic methodological framework, with the Baba, Engle, Kraft, and Kroner transformation (VAR-MGARCH-BEKK), to determine the volatility spillover effect between Nigeria’s Foreign exchange returns and the price returns of four of the largest cryptocurrencies traded in Nigeria. Findings indicate foreign exchange have positive effect on the mean spillovers on cryptocurrencies, and an overall market influence over cryptocurrencies, due to a high GARCH and low ARCH estimate. However, the ARCH parameters show that past errors of foreign exchange market are observed to be vulnerable to external volatilities. Therefore, the study is able to conclude that cryptocurrencies serve as a viable hedging, safe haven and an effective diversification instrument against financial uncertainties, and therefore, recommends optimal diversification strategies and low leverage contracts to avoid the high risks cryptocurrencies present, as they are highly volatile, hence, susceptible to speculative attacks.

The study looked at the optimization of profit through inventory control practices of firms in our ever-competitive environment. Four inventory control practices formed the objectives with two hypotheses raised to guide the study. The study was empirically analysed. The findings revealed a positive significant relationship between the objectives, Just–In–Time, Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Economic Order Quantity and safety stock on profit maximization. The study recommended that an Effective (well-functioning) inventory control system ensures there is a balance between having just enough materials or products in the stores/warehouse and keeping the stock cost under control so that the firm can maximize its profits at all times.

This is an investigation of the impact of capital market performance on economic growth in Nigeria from 2010 to 2020. The general objectives were to assess the impact of market capitalisation on Real GDP, to determine the influence of the value of trade on Real GDP. Ordinary least square (OLS) method was used for estimation to evaluate the impact of capital market performance on economic growth in Nigeria using secondary quarterly times series data from Q1 2010 to Q4 2020. Data was obtained from Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE), National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Analysis revealed that there is a positive and significant level relationship between indices of capital market performance and economic growth measured by real gross domestic product in Nigeria and statistically significant at 5%. It concluded that the Capital Market positively and significantly impact economic growth in Nigeria. Further studies need to be carried out using different parameters to verify the consistency of all findings. This research is currently part of limited studies that investigated the influence of capital market performance on economic growth in Nigeria using quarterly time-series data.

Federalism is a practical political cum constitutional design for managing complex governmental problems usually associated with ethno-religious and cultural diversity. The abysmal performance of the Nigerian state in the area of development and national integration since independence in 1960 has been attributed mainly to the quality, nature, and character of the nation's leaders. The paper examines the impact of leadership and power-sharing on Nigeria's Federalism, focusing on the issues and perspectives. Exploratory research design, documentary sources, and qualitative descriptive data gathering and analysis methods were adopted. Anchoring our discourse on the Self-Reliance theory, findings amongst others revealed that; the attitudes of Nigeria's political class in their intra-class struggle for political power to consolidate on their primitive accumulation of wealth developed a penchant for aggravating existing cleavages by interpreting politics in terms of survival of ethnic or regional entities. This explains the reasons for the agitation by every region/ethnic group to produce a president or governor at the federal and state levels. The paper recommends, amongst others, that; there should be an emergence of leaders with nationalist appeal who would be more interested in building a nation out of the diverse ethnic and religious nationalities as found presently in Nigeria.

This work examined family entrepreneurship and business sustainability in manufacturing firms. It adopted a descriptive survey which is a questionnaire-based technique to sample opinions and derive answers to the challenges of family entrepreneurship and business sustainability. The primary data that were used for analyses were responses gathered from business owners, traders and artisans through the administration of structured questionnaires. Percentage frequency counts were used to analyze the distribution of the demographic variables of the respondents; while the 3.5 mean decision rule was used to conclude the research questions. Likert scale with SPSS was used to analyze and obtain the mean of each item in the research question. A T-test score of 0.05 level of significance was used to determine the relationship between the variable of the hypothesis; also with SPSS. The study showed that pressure to hire family members and strong commitment are not factors to consider for business sustainability. Hence, a Family entrepreneur succession strategy must be put in place ahead of time by developing a succession plan which can enhance sustainability; and real management succession must be included in the strategy. Without a people- and market-focused strategy, a such succession plan will fail and sustainability will be defeated.

The study looked at appraising employee performance using a reward management system. Two objectives are the degree to which profit sharing affects and the reward system motivating employees to improve in organizational performance. Two hypotheses were raised to guide the study. The survey research design was used with a population of 150 with a sample size of 109 using the Taro Yamani formula. Findings revealed a significant relationship. Recommendations were that both intrinsic and extrinsic rewards should be enhanced to drive commitment from employees. It was recommended that administering rewards to the employee, to achieve effective performance in the organization, should be given appropriate guidance as it can motivate each type of employee.

The study unscaled technically, firm performance through effective organizational creativity with two objectives of organizational climate and leadership indices. Hypotheses were raised and statistically tested using descriptive and inferential statistics with a sample size of 375 determined using Krecee and Morgan's position. Findings revealed a significant relationship between both predictor variables of organizational climate and leadership indices that affect firm performance with the obvious statistical outcome. The study recommended that the socio-environmental context of the workplace should be equipped while Leaders and decision makers should effectively communicate the set vision.

Accounting conservatism principle plays an important role in producing fair view of financial statements and has appeared as one of the most prominent research topics over the last 15 years. The main objective of this study is to determine the effect of the accounting reservation to reduce the asymmetry of information and the cost of capital within the framework of international standards (IFRS). To achieve the objectives of the paper, the researcher relied on reviewing 14 related studies that were published in different journals and by different authors for time periods (2015-2020). Based on the results of the aforementioned studies, the study reached several results, the most important of which is that accounting conservative has a major role in reducing the phenomenon of asymmetry of information and reduce the cost of capital within the framework of international standards (IFRS) through the commitment in the Stock Exchange listed companies to apply international standards that are conservative accounting to improve their efficiency.

The activities of Boko Haram have caused so much fear and tension in the air, particularly among those residing in the Northern parts of the country. Worrisome is the Islamic sect spread of its tentacles to other states in the North-East, North-West and North-Centre. To contain the sect, the Federal Government deployed more troops, declared a state of emergency in the hotbed of Boko-Haram to check the spate of the menace, yet the sect is holding upper had in the war. A situation that has tempted the federal government to concede granting the sect Amnesty. This study examines the implications of granting Amnesty to Boko Haram Insurgents in Northern Nigeria, it traces the activities and operations which has led to the continued massive loss of human and material resources, despite the death of their founder and detention of their top hit men. Their dastard activities have dented the image of the country, impacted negatively on the overall economic development of the country. This paper’s position is that granting amnesty to Boko Haram will portray Nigeria as a weak state and more dangerously as an encouraging signal to other disgruntled elements in the society to take up arms against the state. The paper recommend that, there should be effective information and analysis about the sect members and their operations, updating of security personnel and equipment, strengthen the anti-terrorist laws, etc. these will guarantee peace in Nigeria and defeat the sect.
