AbstractEnlightenment means the conjunction of reason and autonomy, but also an attitude of comitment in the defense of justice. Nowadays we are living in a time that can be described like a crisis of civilization and it is urgent to recover and adapt some of the anthropological, cognitive, ethical and political keys of the Enlightenment in order to palliate it. Specially, it is necessary to face to these kinds of problems: the preservation of the ecological life conditions and the search of truth, what involve the climate change and the manipulation of emotions by capitalism and populism. Keywords: enlightenment, crisis, reason, emotion, history.

AbstractThis paper is a critical synthesis, which makes a balance of main thought contributions that have favored the configuration of the American identity and its periodic reformulation. The thought systems are articulated, according to their transition from political theologians (such as puritans, charismatics and transcendentalists, with contributions like biblical pactism, free will, pietistic charity, manifest destiny, etc.), crossing to pragmatic philosophers (as the framers, democratizers and reconstructors, with resources like free-thinking -free-masonry & whigs-, federalism, pragmatism, etc.), until the socio-cultural academics (specially, from Cultural Studies, with concepts of consensus, i.e. frontiers, exceptionalism and melting pot; as well as proposals of differential issues –as result of the brain drain: Frankfurt School, Normale-Annales, Birmingham, etc.-, with notions of class, status and social conflict, ethniccultural metameres, gender constructs, etc.). The study moves until the currentcrisis, without generally accepted solutions and under the trans-Western risk. Keywords: Philosophical History, identity, crisis, United States of America (USA), trans-Western risk.

AbstractFundamental categories of a specific interpretation of Being in Western philosophy has been brought into cuestion over the second half of twentieth century by different currents such as feminist philosophy. Key concepts in contemporary thinking as subject, community or politics have entered into crisis. What can we say about them today? The contributions of feminisms in this respect are crucial, mainly because of their attention to the problem of difference and the multiplity identities. In this article, we analyze the way in which these contributions contribute to rethinking ontology and politics, with the aim of tackling a key debate in the present moment of systemic or civilizing “crisis”: how to build a life that is alive from the premise of equality, but without renouncing at the same time the recognition of differences. Keywords: feminist philosophy, difference, incompleteness, common, policy.

Abstract:Despite the large number of discoveries in Neuroscience, great technological achievements and some renewed theories, the idea of a clear and stark contrast between mind and body is still widespread amongst scientists and common people. Nowadays, this interpretation of the human being (a clear legacy of a deeply consolidated Platonic- Cartesian culture) is affected both by the new theoretical perspectives and by the spreading of some socio-cultural dynamics that manifest themselves daily in body and free time management. Inspired by the analysis of one of the most common technological devices for fitness, the aim of this work is to propose some reflections on identity and body image transformations in our society. Moreover, the establishment of a relationship between the latest emerging contributions in Neuroscience and the traditional paradigms of contemporary social sciences will be pursued by the author. Keywords: identity, technology, neuroscience, sociology of knowledge.

Abstract:The aim of this work is emphasize some of the processes in the construction of the identities in game in the “lucha libre”, considered as one of the most relevant manifestations of the culture of Mexico. Abstract:In this paper, we aim to study a new Body-Object displayed on the social networks: the Body-@, different from the traditional set of entrails. Away from the comparison with the cyborg and the feminism, we are going to focus on the oral construction of LiveJournal, the one that destroys the intimate notes. Also, we are going to discuss the Hyper-Exhibition on Facebook. Keywords: body-object, technology, text, image, LiveJournal, Facebook.
