La revolución en suspenso 悬念中的革命

Here we present a reflection that seeks to show the fundamental problems of the cult of spontaneity that is prevalent not only in the political sphere but also in the academic. I attempt to show how the politics of the present fundamentally needs a moment of theoretical pause, not only to analyze its own scope, but also to discover the means most suited to its own political intentions. This reflection on political praxis also gives rise to reflections on moral philosophy in general, specifically on the material possibilities of moral action in the social context of capitalism.

La traduccion de Christoph Turcke da cuenta de un problema cuya actualidad es insoslayable, a saber, el problema de la praxis politica, del activismo politico, y su relacion con el trabajo teorico de la filosofia. En Adorno, la praxis significa varias cosas, tanto como la accion humana, en general. Una accion en la que se expresen la razon auto determinada y la autodeterminacion racional. Solamente esto seria una praxis verdadera digna del hombre, a saber, adecuada a la capacidad racional humana. De ella se encuentra muy lejos la realidad social. De ahi que “praxis” tambien signifique el establecimiento de las condiciones bajo las cuales sea posible la ya mencionada maxima de la praxis.

Medios para una política futura: “Para una crítica de la violencia” de Walter Benjamin 未来政策的手段:沃尔特·本杰明的《暴力批判》

The article focuses on Walter Benjamin’s enigmatic essay Critique of Violence from 1921. The author interprets it in the context of the political ideas of the German Youth movement before and after the First World War. Different from other interpretations, he focuses more on a certain political act than on a usual messianic way of reading. It becomes evident that Benjamin refers to an act not far from for example Kierkegaard’s decision in ethics. In the second part, the author discusses some recent misinterpretations and points out the actuality of Benjamin’s heterogeneous and highly political conclusions for today.

En las siguientes lineas abordamos la relacion entre la critica de la economia politica y la teoria critica. Comenzaremos por Th. W. Adorno, describiendo mas tarde la linea mas heterodoxa de su interpretacion, representada por M. Postone y la criticade la escision del valor. Continuamos con una lectura mas ortodoxa de Marx, la de R. Bellofiore, que tambien puede ser asumida como convergente con el enfoque teorico-critico. Concluiremos con una posible continuacion de la conceptualizacion de la Teoria Critica en terminos interseccionales, compatible con una teoria critica inmanente radical.

The fundamental objective is to show how Georg Simmel’s analysis of Modernity is an antecedent that will decisively influence the configuration of what is known, from the celebrated essay by Horkheimer, as Critical Theory. For its representatives and defenders, though not only, the Simmel’s contribution, quantitatively and qualitatively, did not go unnoticed and favored the conformation of said theory in different ways, either to give continuity, to criticize it, or to complement it, but always contributing to its projection and further consolidation.

To deepen this question, it will be essential to reflect on the evolution of the notion of “praxis” at the beginning of the 20th century, especially in its link with the dialectical thought inherited from Hegelian philosophy

This paper aims to explore some of the links between Adorno's thought and its Negative Dialectic, withethe "place" assigned to the body and nature within the regime of experience/existence that characterizes affirmative/identity rationality in its most diverse manifestations and the different orders of the epistemic, ethics, aesthetics and even libidinal elements. Likewise, it aims to reconstruct that "place" through an immanent critique of Kantian idealism and Cartesian rationalism, in order to decipher the "somatic component" as a field of forces buried and guarded under a secret and paradoxical combination: human being as a "factor" of Nature that exceeds him beyond his will to dominate, but also as an (im) possible subject in the field of politics, that is to say, as hybris, or disproportion.

In “Excavation and Memory” Walter Benjamin approaches the subject of remembering from a specific metaphor: excavation. But far from being only a metaphoric activity, excavation is sometimes the literal action withewhich to find clues to solve contemporary mysteries. In Mexico, country where since 2007 there are more than thirty thousand lost people, men and women have become recently excavators who, through loose soil, search without rest for footprints or traces of their loved ones. What is to be done witheso much barbarity? Perhaps through the Benjamin’s notion of storytelling we could think of remembering in terms of unearthing as a possibility for mourning in the country of the lost ones.
