A new teaching method using virtual reality (VR) technology has been introduced into the self-defense training program for future medical professionals at the Medical University of Sofia. This experiment was conducted with students of an elective course in self-defense, using VR smartphone goggles and the online platform CoSpaces Edu for simulation. The research methodology included eleven questions about the potential and effectiveness of using VR in self-defense training. The results showed that most students were familiar with VR technology and thought it could be helpful. However, they reported that they had not yet attended a single workshop using VR technology, indicating limited use in higher education. The advantages of using VR in self-defense training include simulating real-world scenarios in a safe virtual environment, providing personalized training tailored to individual cases, and improving decision-making skills in critical situations. Disadvantages include a lack of specialized content, expensive equipment, and limited accessibility to training. Despite these challenges, many respondents believe that virtual training in a virtual environment is safer and more effective than traditional forms of training.

In today's digital world, online communication has gained wide popularity as an effective and easy way to maintain the activity of a number of areas of life, including conducting online workouts with fitness instructors. Despite the benefits associated with online training, cybersecurity challenges are inevitably emerging that require serious attention and preventive measures. The aim of the study is to analyze the effectiveness of current online security mechanisms and policies and to identify potential threats related to online training and cybersecurity. The highest efficiency is achieved in protecting users' personal data and preventing hacker attacks. The leading potential threats are phishing attacks, misuse of personal data and malware installation. The most commonly used mechanisms achieve optimal cybersecurity, but continuous online threats require increased attention from users as well. Using strong and unique passwords for all online accounts, updating device software, using two-factor authentication and creating backups will increase the effectiveness of online security.

In this article is presented and justified the role of education, the human factor and retraining in the implementation of innovation activity. The main purpose is to analyze and conceptually outline the relationship between them. Directions for development of the human factor, education and some basic characteristics of the innovation manager such as necessary cognitive competences, professional skills and personal qualities are indicated. The author’s understanding of modern education, which should be implemented in Bulgarian secondary and higher schools, is presented in order to ensure the training of personnel with an affinity for innovation, creativity and research. The opportunity of using a constructivist approach to change the previous paradigm in education, in which the student is only an object in this process and teaching is reduced to knowledge transfer, and assessment is related to the possibilities of their reproduction, is considered.

The article is aimed at the modern development of the tourist activity and the possibility of innovation of a number of factors seeking to improve the quality of the tourist product. The aspiration of the modern tourist is to create social contacts, actively aiming to get to know natural attractions as well as searching for an ecological, natural and healthy way of life. The emphasis is on analysis and detailing of the factor operations in tourism and above all on their practical application side in the various organizations that are targeting the new category – Wellness tourist. The trends in the tourism industry are towards restoring the confidence of tourists and increasing travel from 2020 levels. where it falls below 70%. The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) treats levels where up to 2.5 years or 4 years travel can be recovered. The multitude of surveys and measurements are to increase competitiveness based on research and updating of the tourist product. The aim of the dynamics is aimed at the quality of the tourist product, its energy intensity and the level of tourist service related to its efficiency. It is also a question of a rational economic advantage related to the costs and, respectively, the price, as well as an axiological advantage related to the value (that is, the quality) of the tourist product and its competitive advantage (Ribov 2018).

Education has been one of the fields most affected by Covid-19 and the problems related to it are widely discussed in scientific papers. The majority of researchers, interested in the higher education, study students’ mental health, while a smaller number that of university teachers The aim of this article is to suggest a set of approaches to psychosocial support (PSS) for university teachers in a crisis context. The combination of quantitative and qualitative methods will help identify main issues that affect the life and work of university educators. Based on the significant topics and experiences revealed by the focus groups, a stress-reducing, psychosocial training will be applied. This study will contribute by combining phenomenological analysis with training groups. Thus, it will help create a PSS model applicable in future crisis contexts and integrated in an effective prevention strategy to protect university teachers’ health.

Niche tourism in Bulgaria is facing a shortage of specialised staff. The quality of services in the Recreational industry depends on the integration of scientific findings into Wellness & Spa therapies. This study summarises the specifics of the newly accredited Wellness & Spa programs at the National Sports Academy “V. Levski”. The innovations are financially supported by the Bulgarian Heritage BG Centre of Excellence. Under the priority axis 1 “Research and Technological Development”, a scientific bridge was established to implement the European policy “healthy lifestyle for everyone”. Through the education of specialised personnel, our team gained insights on how Bulgarian Niche tourism can improve the quality of services in the Wellness & Spa sector. By identifying the specific professional competencies, the scientific team at NSA “V. Levski” developed innovative educational programs for new jobs to meet the needs of the Niche tourism business. The analysis of the development of professional knowledge and skills led to improved higher quality services and interdisciplinary education. By accrediting new scientific and educational programs in two professional fields, health care and sports, NSA “V. Levski” has become an educational and scientific leader at the National, Balkan, and European level in the field of Niche tourism, specifically in the Wellness & Spa sector.

The article presents the results of a longitudinal study aiming to investigate the effects of the type of educational system on the personality of Bulgarian students in the period of late adolescence. Using the adapted Bulgarian versions of three self-assessment tests: the Heubeck и Neill psychological wellbeing scale, the Rosenberg self-esteem scale, and the the Eysenck mental states test, two groups of 32 adolescent students each, were examined at the beginning, at the middle of the second year and at the end of the third year of their education at two different vocational schools applying different educational systems: the German dual educational system, and the Bulgarian traditional vocational educational system, respectively. The results showed statistically significant between-group differences in the mean group scores on the studied personality characteristics. The results were analysed in the context of the impact of schooling on the personality development of young.

The expansion of the financial intermediation and the diversification of the financial products for consumers generates enormous academic interest in the field of the financial education. The exponential development of the technology in the financial services also encourages the theory and policy to promote financial education. In this environment, consumers can hardly catch up with the expertise of the financial institutions. Thus, the information asymmetry widens, leading to significant adverse consequences for both consumers (indebtedness, financial exclusion, and financial losses) and financial intermediation (reduction of the client base, shocks on demand). The purpose of this study is, by analyzing the development of the personal finance theory, the regulatory framework and policy, to identify the issues and the risks in the context of the contemporary challenges. The article reveals the specifics of the students’ personal finances, which also defines the educational approaches and emphases to overcome the risks of low-quality education. Defined are the main guidelines of the training aimed at preventing excessive indebtedness at this early age, acquiring skills for choosing the most suitable financial products, diversifying personal income and promoting investment activity.
