The register is a language variation that can become the identity of a community group. The register is also a marker of an individual a member of a particular community group. The Sociolinguistics studies specification in the uses of registers by the two terrorism groups investigated using a qualitative descriptive method. This research takes the main sources from the electronic news platform and channel belonging to one of the suspected terrorist groups. The results showed that there were differences in the form of language selection in the use of registers in each group. In addition, the analysis of the use of terrorist registers from the two groups also clearly shows the intent and purpose of using the registers. Through this research, researcher hoping that the community can increase awareness and sensitivity to all social processes around them, especially in the process of speech acts in the community, by not ignoring linguistic signs that they do not know.

This study aims to discuss the existence of women as the other in the novel Lampuki by Arafat Nur, which raises the theme of conflict in Aceh. This novel shows more of the daily life of the conflict-stricken community so that the situation and position of women can be seen more deeply, namely in the community itself. Furthermore, the analysis will focus on three female characters who represent the general situation of Acehnese women during the conflict. The theory used in this study is existentialist feminism, developed by Simone de Beauvoir. This study uses the qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that society's deeply rooted patriarchal culture is the biggest challenge preventing women from achieving freedom and actualizing themselves. Halimah and Siti viewed their status as wives. In other words, they are part of their husbands. However, the condition of women who do not have a husband is not better, such as Rukiya, who still needs men or is not independent. This lack of independence is due to the social construct that makes women always dependent on men. In Beauvoir's view, men place themselves as subjects and women as objects whose existence is to be subdued. Furthermore, the fate of marginalized women, and dependence on men, including being victims in the conflict, is the result of the objectification that occurs to them.

Verbal language is vital in communication and is the most important means of interaction. By the significant role of verbal language, visuals are often less considered unnecessary, even though they could help to understand communication better. Verbal and visual language are interconnected and simultaneously build a strong, complete, structured text. This research focused on how a book writer communicates using two or more modes simultaneously, namely text and images, which is called multimodal discourse analysis, particularly social semiotics. This study analyzes the illustrated book "I Hate Diet" by Yulia Baltschun. Using a descriptive qualitative method that refers to the theory of reading images, Kress & Leeuwen's (2006) analysis relates to the existence of representational and interactive meanings with images divided into three aspects: information value, salience, and framing. In connection with the data analysis in the form of text or verbal, it is analyzed using the theory of seven development tasks by Gee (2011). The results indicated the meanings of the image or visual illustrations supported by verbal or text analysis. There are several representations of meaning in it, namely the meaning of motivational invitations and warnings or meanings that remind.

This research is motivated by the stigma of talkativeness suffered by women, people with low education, and belonging to the lower economic class category. The research entitled "Psychogenic Disorder of Talkative Gary Iskak (Psycholinguistic Study)" aims to describe the talkative and the background of talkative sufferers towards artist Gary Iskak. The theory used in this research is the talkative theory of Abdul Chaer and Soenjono Darjowidjodjo with a psycholinguistic approach. The data collection method used is the referential method with the note-taking technique. In contrast, the data analysis method is the referential method with the determining determinants or the PUP technique. The results found in this study are that there are four general reaction types: Ekolalia, Ekopraxia, Auto Ekolalia, and Automatic Obedience. Then the two types of talkative reactions that are not included in the four categories are a mixture of Ekolalia and Ekopraxia talkative and the impact of voice talk. In addition to the type of talkativeness, it was also found that the factors causing the talkativeness experienced by Gary Iskak when he was in several events found four causes of talkativeness. Among the four, the most frequent cause of talkativeness is being surprised by other people's movements.

This study examines the peculiarities, similarities, and differences of negation patterns in French and Indonesian sentences. The data analyzed are declarative, interrogative, and negative imperative sentences taken from the Leipzig Corpora Collection. The analysis results found that there are similarities in the formation of negation markers in French “ne … jamais” and Indonesian negation markers “tidak pernah”. The equivalence also appears in the arrangement of negative imperative sentence markers, which are formulated with negative ne+adverbs pas+verb and jangan+verb. Regarding the differences, the negation marker in French is present in two mandatory components, while in Indonesian, it is marked with one marker. There is even more variety of negations in French. In Indonesian, there is a standard rule between the combination of negation markers and the type of predicate in a sentence, but French tends to be more accessible. The formation of past and passive negative sentences is also different. Finally, in negative imperative sentences in French, the verb that is negated must be conjugated according to the subject, but in Indonesian, this is not the case.
