Objective: This comprehensive review investigates the intricacies of coping strategies employed by adults when dealing with stress. It delves into the multifaceted aspects of stress perception, exploring how individuals assess stressors as either threats or demands, and subsequently, how they react to them.
Methods: To provide a well-rounded perspective, this review conducted an extensive search of relevant studies from the DOAJ and EBSCOhost databases, focusing on publications from the past decade. The analysis encompasses various facets of stress, including its perception, coping strategies, and the methods used to mitigate its effects.
Results: Stress is a highly subjective experience, and its impact varies greatly among individuals. Some individuals perceive stressors as threats, leading to severe consequences, while others view them as challenges that can provoke positive emotional responses. Coping behaviors often stem from learned patterns, influenced by familial and past traumatic experiences. Recognizing and understanding predominant reactions to stress is pivotal in the development of effective coping strategies. Among the most successful coping mechanisms are those centered on problem-solving and seeking social support. Additionally, emotion regulation-oriented coping strategies enable individuals to manage their emotional responses to stressors. Conversely, non-adaptive coping strategies may provide temporary relief but often fail to address the root causes of stress.
Conclusions: This review underscores the significance of coping strategies in the context of stress management among adults. Solution-oriented strategies, including active problem-solving and seeking social support, emerge as valuable tools for individuals in their efforts to cope with stress. It is essential to recognize that adults have the capacity to choose coping strategies that can effectively mitigate the adverse effects of stress. By comprehending and promoting these strategies, individuals can enhance their stress management skills, leading to improved mental health outcomes and overall well-being.

Purpose: This study examined the influence of social media on the behavioural formation of digital natives in Lagos, Nigeria, with a specific focus on the accessibility and pattern of social media usage, the online experience, and the influence of social media on the behavioural formation of digital natives. Design/Methodology/Approach: Using a stratified proportionate sample strategy, 450 social media users who grew up in the digital age across 10 local government areas in Lagos, Nigeria, provided the data for this quantitative study, where the heuristic model for the relationship was subjected to a string of tests using the partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) technique. Findings: Discovery revealed that social media has a favourable impact on the behavioural formation of digital natives, whereby digital natives’ nature moderates the structural relationship between social media and behavioural formation. Original/Value: The study novelty appears on the side of Technological Determinism Theory postulated on social media as extremely popular among Nigerian digital natives and is one of the key contributors to the deterioration of digital natives’ behavioural formation in terms of morality, secretive information accessing, online insecurity, as well as the propagation of rumor and propaganda. Practical implications: Because of the established dialectical connection between society and technology, widespread social media literacy is now possible, even among the humblest of households.

Purpose: The aim of this research is to determine the extent to which cross-conceptions in intellectual property rights can be resolved, and ultimately can be used to support efforts to record the legality of rights both individually and communally. The next goal is to encourage communal intellectual property to become a regional tourism commodity. Theoritical Reference: Theoretically, Intellectual Property Rights have an individual and personal nature, while communal intellectual property actually has a communal nature. So, placing communal intellectual property rules into intellectual property rights law brings about theoretical confusion. Method: The research method used uses a doctrinal approach by collecting data through literature study and then presenting it. Data were analyzed descriptively. Result and conclusion: This study found: the fact that IPR legislation in Indonesia places communally owned objects into IPR legislation, such as the inclusion of Geographical Indications containing Communal Intellectual Property in the Trademark and Geographical Indications Law, which is actually a statutory regulation. IPR invitation (personal). Likewise, the further impact is the weak potential for utilizing economic rights in the form of loss of potential tourism commodities, especially regional tourism. It is concluded that there is equalization of intellectual property legal institutions, namely the incorporation of communal intellectual property objects into intellectual property legislation. Even though this equality does not constitute equal distribution of legal principles, the resulting legal consequences weaken the economic influence of a commodity. Optimizing the economic potential of communal intellectual property, especially to support regional tourism development, will be disrupted. Research Implication: This research has implications for harmonization of the principles of intellectual property law so that they can be applied in the development of economic rights, especially in the tourism sector. Originality/value: This research is something new because it not only looks at conflicting conceptions in the regulation of intellectual property rights, but synergizes with legal benefit factors, namely the economic impact of tourism that can be achieved if.

Objective: of this study was to determine the influence of health literacy on knowledge and attitudes. Theoretical framework: Adolescents undergo significant biopsychosocial changes, making them vulnerable to engaging in negative activities such as alcohol consumption, risky behaviors, and drug use (Febrika, 2021). The rapid advancement of technology during adolescence also influences their risky behaviors. Therefore, adolescents require good health literacy to prevent such risky behaviors (Khairina et al., 2022). According to the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), adolescent behavior is influenced by attitudes and control beliefs, including internal control factors such as knowledge. Thus, to enhance adolescent health literacy, educational media like the snakes and ladders board game related to HIV/AIDS prevention is necessary (Ajzen, 1991). Method: This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design only, without a control group. Data were collected from 56 randomly selected respondents. The dependent variables were knowledge and attitudes, while the independent variable was the level of health literacy about HIV. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test. Results and conclusion: Adolescents' knowledge before the intervention was 62.5% in the low category, and after the intervention, it increased to 91.1% in the high category. There was a significant relationship between health literacy about HIV using the snakes and ladders game board and knowledge (p=0.000). Before the intervention, 62.5% had a negative attitude, and after the intervention, 58.9% had a positive attitude (p=0.000). Conclusion: More health literacy about HIV among adolescents is needed.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the impact of government bonds on Nigeria’s stock market performance. Theoretical framework: This work adopted the model of Khan and Zaman (2012) which used multiple regression method to investigate the link between macroeconomic factors and stock values in Pakistan's Karachi Stock Exchange. Design/methodology/approach: The research period runs from 2005 to 2022, and uses the secondary form of data and the ordinary least squares approach. Other analytical examinations include normalcy, stability, interconnectivity, and autocorrelation testing. Findings: The results show that the Federal Government's unique bond does not considerably and favorably impact stock market performance. The stock outcome also demonstrates that interest rates are extremely unfavorable to stock market returns. Research, Practical & Social implications: The study concludes that the government can apply other techniques to diversify bonds sold in the stock market. It is imperative that the appropriate authorities manage interest rates and other economic elements that impact stock market performance. Originality/value: The study is valuable since it is one of the first to assess the influence of government bonds in boosting stock market performance in an emerging nation. Although the outcome of the study calls for government action to ensure that state bonds are fascinating to investors, it should also endeavour to improve the sustainability of the country's stock market.

Design/methodology/approach: The research period runs from 2005 to 2022, and uses the secondary form of data and the ordinary least squares approach. Other analytical examinations include normalcy, stability, interconnectivity, and autocorrelation testing. Findings: The results show that the Federal Government's unique bond does not considerably and favorably impact stock market performance. The stock outcome also demonstrates that interest rates are extremely unfavorable to stock market returns. Research, Practical & Social implications: The study concludes that the government can apply other techniques to diversify bonds sold in the stock market. It is imperative that the appropriate authorities manage interest rates and other economic elements that impact stock market performance. Originality/value: The study is valuable since it is one of the first to assess the influence of government bonds in boosting stock market performance in an emerging nation. Although the outcome of the study calls for government action to ensure that state bonds are fascinating to investors, it should also endeavour to improve the sustainability of the country's stock market.","PeriodicalId":41277,"journal":{"name":"McGill International Journal of Sustainable Development Law and Policy","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135013347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Objective: This study seeks to examine the perception of nationalism among Sebatik Island residents, one of Indonesia's integral pillars. The main goal is to identify the factors shaping their nationalist sentiments and propose potential strategies for the government to facilitate comprehensive development on Sebatik Island.
Theoretical framework: The research adopts a mixed-methods approach that combines qualitative and quantitative methodologies to comprehensively explore the level of nationalism among Sebatik Island inhabitants towards Indonesia.
Method: The research employs focused group discussions and tailored questionnaires to gather data. The qualitative analysis covers responses from 62 participants, revealing that 66% exhibit a high level of nationalism, while 34% display a low level. Various factors influencing Sebatik's nationalism emerge, including deficient infrastructure, tribal diversity, youth involvement, educational and healthcare inadequacies, resource utilization, and government policies concerning border area development.
Results and conclusions: The findings indicate a generally positive perception of Indonesian nationalism among Sebatik Island residents, despite challenges stemming from their reliance on Malaysia. The study underscores the importance of enhancing welfare as a means to collaboratively develop the Indonesian-Malaysian border region. By prioritizing the well-being of the Sebatik community, their sense of Indonesian identity can naturally flourish, contributing to increased security and patriotism in the border area.
Originality/Value: This research contributes original insights into the nuanced factors influencing nationalism among Sebatik Island residents, shedding light on the intricacies of their perspectives within the context of a shared border with Malaysia. The proposed welfare-focused approach presents a valuable strategy for bolstering Indonesian identity in border regions.
Research implications: The study's outcomes call for a reevaluation of policies related to border area development, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and resource management. The significance of addressing these aspects for fostering a strong sense of nationalism and security is evident, particularly in the unique context of Sebatik Island.

Objective: the purpose of this study is a determination of the procedural status of electronic documents as electronic evidence and identification of gaps in legislation regarding their legal regulation.
Theoretical framework: theoretical materials were based on international scientific publications, reports, and scientific papers. And also for a more complete and objective presentation of the problem being studied, also practical materials from criminal cases were used.
Method: is a dialectical method of understanding general patterns and particular manifestations of the essence of phenomena of objective reality. The comparative legal method made it possible to qualitatively study foreign legislation from the point of view of the legal regulation of electronic evidence and their application in practice. The method of mathematical analysis and logic made it possible to analyze everything that could relate to electronic evidence, identifying their characteristics.
Results and conclusion: electronic evidence is information in electronic digital form, suitable for communication, interpretation or processing. In the electronic digital environment, the main interacting objects are various kinds of information objects (data sets, files, programs, etc.) with a complex hierarchical structure. Data in electronic digital form are intended to transmit information through media, information systems and telecommunication networks, and in the event of a crime being committed against them, their protection is of primary interest, and the nature and content of this data fades into the background.
Originality/value: the value of the study lies in the fact that, based on a comprehensive analysis, electronic evidence has a unique structure and ensuring their safety is one of the criteria for their use, as well as the possibility of introducing a copying function will expand the process of processing evidence. The concept of “computer information” is the author’s definition, which will allow us to consolidate electronic evidence as an independent type.
