Objective: This research aims to identify the Corporate Social Responsibility challenges and their effects on business, the environment, and society. Methods: Exploratory research is employed in this work using primarysecondary data from journals, magazines, articles, and media reports. Result: The survey indicated that many CSRs struggle with transparency, inequity, consensus, financial resources, community engagement, strategic planning, and bias in their policies, practices, and cultures. Public awareness of corporations and a network of activities were very limited. Conclusion: Corporate social responsibility refers to a company's efforts to evaluate and address the impacts it has on society and the environment. CSR may demonstrate commitment to care for the community by taking steps to reduce waste and pollution and by funding educational and social welfare initiatives. The corporates should understand their role in promoting CSR. The corporates should also organize training, conferences, and seminars to share and produce new knowledge in this field. Substantial financial support and industry-specific research can boost and strengthen the CSR contribution.

Objective: In today's workplaces, emotional intelligence, and work-life balance have gained prominence for their substantial impact on job performance, leading to increased productivity and successful careers. This study explores the relationship between these factors among Malaysian employees. It also investigates the roles of job satisfaction and job involvement. Method: We surveyed 150 employees from diverse Malaysian organizations and used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the data. Result and conclusion: Our findings reveal that emotional intelligence, job involvement, job satisfaction, and work-life balance positively influence job performance. Emotional intelligence and work-life balance significantly affect job satisfaction. However, the connection between work-life balance and job performance is not statistically significant. Additionally, job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between job involvement and job performance. Research implications: This study emphasizes the importance of prioritizing employee engagement and well-being, offering organizations benefits such as improved productivity, enhanced performance, increased loyalty, reduced turnover, cost savings, and greater employee satisfaction. Originality/value: Investing in employee well-being is a path to both individual and organizational resilience, success, and prosperity.

Objective: This article will discuss the recruitment model for members/cadres and prospective candidates of general elections, either legislative or executive of PDI-P in West Java, as well as its challenges in becoming a modern political party in Indonesia. Method: This research uses a qualitative method with data collection dominantly using a literature review related to the recruitment model of modern political parties and interviews with cadres of PDI-P in West Java. The analytical tools used are the scheme of recruitment model of modern political parties by Pippa Norris (2006), the concept of modern political party management by Hofmeister & Grabow (2011), also the 10 principles of the ideal party by Bhakti & Nurhasim (2016) to explain the recruitment model of PDI-P in West Java as one of the modern parties in Indonesia. Result: The result found that the recruitment of PDI-P in West Java has used the principles of the modern political party in the process, such as opening the opportunity widely for the public to join the party, opening the chances for non-cadre to be nominated by the party as well all the procedure is based on the party Memorandum of Association/ Articles of Association (AD/ART). Conclusion: Nevertheless, there are problems that have not been accommodated by the party, such as the quota for people with disabilities, young people, and the mechanism of special quota fulfillment for women that have not been given the overall clarity.

Purpose: This research normatively reviewed and analysed thoroughly the function and position of Syar'iyah Court in Aceh in the National legal system. It also viewed the Syar'iyah Court as part of the legal system in Indonesia. Theoretical framework: The implementation of the freedom of independent judicial power is inseparable of the implementation of the system contained in the 1945 Constitution and in accordance with the values upheld by the international community through The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Method: The research method used normative legal research using the statutory approach and conceptual approach related to the function and position of Aceh Syar'iyah Court in the legal system in Indonesia. Conclusions: Law Number 44 of 1999 determines the power and authority of the Syar'iyah Court to be realized in the form of implementing Islamic law for its adherents and Law Number 18 of 2001 determines the power and authority based on Islamic law in the national legal system, which is further regulated by Qanun of Aceh Province. Moreover, Law Number 11 of 2006 on Aceh Government also determines that the Syar'iyah Court has the authority to examine, adjudicate, decide, and settle cases in family, civil, and criminal laws based on Islamic Sharia. Research Implications: In carrying out its duties, the Syar'iyah Court in Aceh is obliged to uphold the dignity of the community in general and the basic rights and obligations of the community in particular. Originality/value: In practice, the implementation of Islamic Sharia in Aceh has provided protection, justice, and a sense of security and comfort to all citizens in Aceh.

Objective: This article aims to investigate the various forms of community participation in supporting sustainable development programs in rural areas. It specifically examines the nature and extent of community involvement across different stages of program development, highlighting the key actors and categories of participation.
Theoretical Framework: The theoretical framework for this research is grounded in the concept of community participation in development, which is a fundamental principle of sustainable development. The study draws on the works of scholars who have explored community engagement and its significance in achieving development goals, particularly in rural contexts. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as a backdrop to assess the alignment of community participation with global development priorities.
Method: This research employs a qualitative approach to capture the nuances of community participation in sustainable development programs. Data is gathered through in-depth interviews with development participants and focus group discussions. The qualitative methodology allows for a deeper understanding of the forms, actors, and dynamics of community involvement.
Result and Conclusion: The findings of this study reveal that community participation is integral to all stages of sustainable development program development: planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The research identifies two main channels through which community participation occurs: formal village institutional channels, including village community empowerment institutions and community representative bodies, and informal channels, which involve community leaders, religious figures, youth leaders, and professionals. Community participation takes three primary forms: contributions of ideas and thoughts, material contributions, and donations of energy.
Originality/value: This research contributes to the understanding of community participation in the context of sustainable development in rural areas. It highlights the diverse ways in which communities engage in development initiatives and emphasizes their essential role in achieving the SDGs. The study's value lies in its potential to inform policymakers, practitioners, and academics about the significance of community participation and its implications for the success of sustainable development programs.
