Exploratory Factor Analysis of Environmental Awareness Assessment based on Local Wisdom by Using Summated Rating and Likert Scale 综合评分法和Likert量表对基于地方智慧的环境意识评价的探索性因素分析

There is no standardized instrument to measure environmental awareness based on local wisdom. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to conduct an Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) on an environmental awareness assessment based on local wisdom. This study has a non-experimental design with the ex-post facto type. The Likert scale environmental awareness is transformed into a summated rating scale. Furthermore, the initial construct validation was carried out using the EFA test. Based on the results of the EFA, it was found that the EA which previously consisted of 18 indicators extracted based on eigen values and fixed factors became 8 factors with 14 indicators.

A Study on Teacher Competencies of Pre-service Science Teachers 职前科学教师的教师能力研究

In this research designed in survey model, teacher competencies of pre-service science teachers were examined under 4 headings including methodological, social, and personal competencies (Frey, 2008). As a data collection tool, a questionnaire consisting of a total of 226 items questioning the areas of competence was used. The sample of the study consisted of 602 pre-service teachers who continued their education in science, mathematics, biology, chemistry, and physics education programs. In general, it was determined that the perceptions of pre-service teachers about their professional competencies were high. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed to determine the compatibility of the four-factor structure of teacher competencies with the sample data. Among the teacher competence areas, path analysis by Frey (2008) was performed to test the status of correlations in the sample. As a result of the path analysis, it was seen that the proposed theoretical model worked largely in the sample. Examining the relationships among the competence areas, it was determined that methodological competence had a very high effect on social competence and a moderate effect on personal competence. It was concluded that the competence related to the teaching process affected social competence at a low level and personal competence at a moderate level. In addition, a very high relationship was calculated between methodological competence and competence areas related to the teaching process.

Development of Guided Inquiry-Oriented Science Interactive E-Module on Wave and Disaster Themes 波浪与灾害主题导向探究科学互动电子模组之开发

This research aims at measuring the validity product of the developed science interactive e-book. The research method used is research and development, with a 3-D development model which is a modification of the 4-D model proposed by Thiagarajan (1974). The stages used are defining, planning (design) and developing (develop). To measure the product validity, a validation questionnaire assessed by two expert lecturers and three science teachers was employed. The development of teaching materials in the form of science interactive e-books is scored 81% and is considered valid to be limited trial test in junior high school level. The limited trial test is scored 34.55 which is considered as good category. Therefore, the developed e-modules can be used as learning resources on wave and disaster themes.

Developing Context-Based Teaching Competencies of Chemistry Teachers: Designing and Implementing Context-Based Activities 培养化学教师的语境教学能力:语境活动的设计与实施

Context-based teaching is the use of contexts as a starting point for the development of scientific ideas in learning environments. Teachers can use this teaching approach to increase students' motivation and willingness to learn science. The focus of this research was to develop context-based teaching competencies of teachers. With this in mind, this research aimed to determine the effects of feedback on the development of teachers' context-based teaching competency and the factors affecting the teaching process. In the study, collective case study design was employed. The study was carried out with two chemistry teachers who participated in the In-Service Training Course on Context-Based Chemistry Teaching conducted by the researcher. The data of the research were collected through field notes, semi-structured interview, follow up interviews and video recordings. As a result of the research, it was determined that the feedback had a positive effect on the development of chemistry teachers' context-based teaching competency. It was revealed that teacher anxiety, professional knowledge, difficulty in designing materials and lack of interest of students affected the teaching process.

Analysis of Level of Student Learning Independence Through Phet Simulation Assisted Padlet Media Implementation Phet模拟辅助Padlet媒体实现对学生学习独立性水平的分析

Curriculum 2013 emphasizes education that can build an independent attitude of students. This study aimed to measure the level of student learning independence by implementing e-learning padlets assisted by PhET Simulation. The method used is descriptive quantitative where the sample involved is 35 people who are determined by cluster random sampling technique. The data collection technique used a learning independence questionnaire. Based on descriptive quantitative data analysis techniques, the results of research on the learning independence profile of students are based on five indicators, namely the responsible indicator of 76% in the high category, 63% initiative in the medium category, 65% confidence in the medium category, motivation 79% in the middle category. high category, and discipline of 86% in the very high category. The results of this study can be used as a basis for developing science learning media that is integrated with ICT to facilitate student learning independence.

Integrating Local Wisdom of Nek Pung Dance in Grade 4 Elementary School Science Learning 在小学四年级科学学习中融入nekpong舞蹈的地方智慧

Currently, local wisdom is getting eroded. Local wisdom is a habit of the local community that has noble values so that efforts need to be made to preserve it, such as the local wisdom of the nek pung dance in Jambi province, Indonesia. This paper aimed to analyze the local wisdom of the nek pung dance and the educational curriculum to be linked and integrated into science learning. This study uses a qualitative approach by collecting natural information from several sources, namely traditional leaders, community leaders, education and culture offices, and elementary school teachers. In addition, researchers also analyzed educational curriculum documents, teacher books, and student books. The results analysis showed the that local wisdom of the nek pung dance can be integrated into grade 4 on theme I the beauty of togetherness, sub-theme I cultural diversity of my people, in learning 1 which includes science competency as one of the competencies.

Validity and Inter-rater Reliability of the Scoring Rubrics for the Science Teacher TPACK Test Instrument 科学教师TPACK量表评分标准的效度与信度

This study examined the content validity of the scoring rubric instrument for measuring science teachers’ TPACK and the inter-rater reliability in using the instrument. This research was conducted as part of research and development which has been designed for the development of instruments for measuring teacher knowledge. The analysis carried out was a qualitative analysis based on triangulation of the three validators’ validation results and quantitative analysis for inter-rater reliability based on the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) obtained for each question. The validation involved three science education experts from the university to assess the suitability of the scoring rubrics in the technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) framework. Inter-rater reliability examining involved 100 participants who answered 15 questions on the instrument and three experienced raters to assess the participants' answers. The validation results showed that the instrument content was valid for measuring the knowledge tested and had very high inter-rater reliability coefficient for all items The validation results show that qualitatively the contents of the instrument are valid for measuring the knowledge being tested and had an average inter-rater reliability coefficient of 0.94 (very high).

Developing Grade 5 Students’ Scientific Habits of Mind Through Community-based Science Learning 通过社区科学学习培养五年级学生的科学思维习惯

Students are future citizens who will be able to make more informed decisions on social movements. Reasoning, inherent skepticism, the ability to situate things in bigger settings and discern connections are all part of scientific habits of mind. This action research aimed to develop grade 5 students’ scientific habits of mind through community-based science learning to meet the requirement of passing criteria 70% of mean score. Target group were 12 of grade 5 students from one primary school, located in Mahasarakham province, Thailand. The research tools were 2 spirals of lesson plan and community-based science learning organization, observational tools were 2 sets of 30-multiple choice test of scientific habits of mind, 10 items of 5-rating scale of scientific habits of mind questionnaire, and students’ interview form towards community-based learning. Mean, standard deviation, and percentage were employed for data analysis. The findings pointed that first spiral of learning organization, students had 82.92% of mean score. The second spiral of learning organization, students had 90.83% of mean score. It can be concluded that community-based learning help students to gain their scientific habits of mind.

This study aimed to develop quality of the 3D Pageflip Professional-based e-module on energy concepts which has good quality and suitable for use in learning for junior high school grade 7. This type of research is a development that refers to the 4D development model with stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects were grade 7 students in one of the junior high schools in Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the 3D Pageflip Professional-based e-module on energy concepts that was developed had very good quality seen from the average rating of the material experts which was 87,5%, media experts was 89,6%, the science teacher was 95,8%, participant responses small class students by 83,7%, and the response of large class students is 84,5%. It was concluded that the 3D Pageflip Professional-based e-module on energy has a very good quality so that it is feasible to be used in the science learning process of seventh grade junior high school students.

Students’ Perceptions on the Implementation of Natural Product Chemistry Laboratory Using Sasambo Medicinal Plants 学生对利用萨桑布药材实施天然产物化学实验室的认识

This research described the implementation of the natural product chemistry laboratory using Sasambo medicinal plants ( Sasak, Samawa, Mbojo , indigenous tribes of Nusa Tenggara Barat Province, Indonesia). It revealed students' perceptions of laboratory activities. The use of Sasambo medicinal plants in laboratory activities is carried out because it is very close to students' daily lives. This research method was descriptive qualitative obtained from observation, documentation, interview, and questionnaire techniques. Respondents consisted of 59 third-year students from the Department of Chemistry Education at one of the state universities in Nusa Tenggara Barat, Indonesia, during the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. This laboratory activity begins with giving a laboratory project to students. The team determined the Sasambo medicinal plant species used in this laboratory based on the results of the previous isolation. The selection of the Sasambo medicinal plant species took into account the difficulty level of isolation of its secondary metabolite compounds. The results showed that the planning of the natural product chemistry Laboratory using Sasambo medicinal plants was in a good category. The facilities and infrastructure used were complete and proper, the learning resources used were apt and up-to-date, and the implementation of the activities was in the good, interesting, and disciplined category.
