This study presents a new perspective as it makes the premise that college preparedness is related to the cognitive ability of graduates of senior high schools (SHS). It seems to imply that factors other than cognitive ability may impact the preparation of high school graduates for college. In this study, a descriptive-correlation design was used to validate the relationship between school motivation and learning strategies and college readiness of 7,384 K-12 graduates senior high school graduates from public and private schools in the north-eastern part of the Philippines. These graduates came from public and private schools in the north-eastern part of the Philippines. According to the findings, students who graduate from grades K-12 and senior high schools are typically eager to learn and have developed their own learning techniques. Additionally, a considerable majority of them are not prepared academically for college. The examination of the link reveals that the majority of the aspects of academic motivation and learning techniques have a constructive connection to the level of preparedness of high school graduates for college. On the other hand, a substantial inverse connection was shown to exist between being prepared for college and test anxiety. Notably, the influence of these non-cognitive characteristics on college preparedness is just as significant as the influence of intellectual talents. Because of this, it is extremely important that teachers and managers of schools that provide the K-12 program give children opportunity to develop further not only their intellectual capabilities but also their non-cognitive qualities in order to get them ready for college study.

The article deals with the issues based on the pedagogical thought and pedagogical practice of eastern thinkers in the example of Abu Rayhan Beruni's works. Abu Rayhan Beruni's pedagogic views, thoughts on upbringing and education are highlighted. Also, the aspects that should be paid attention to in the education of a perfect person, the essence of imparting knowledge without separating upbringing and education from each other are also presented. We have investigated and summarized only one of the aspects of the rich scientific heritage of the outstanding scientist. Abu Rayhan Beruni became world famous not only for his outstanding scientific achievements, but also for his ideas and beliefs that were advanced for that time. Many of them, including pedagogical ones, retain their significance to this day.

In recent years, digital transformation (DT) has emerged as a subject with numerous promise advantages across several industries. Prior papers focused mostly on identifying benefits and obstacles, but less is known about validation, particularly in the educational sector. Thus, the objective of this study is to fill the gap by examining the factors that influence the acceptance of digital transformation in the education setting. 318 prospective adopters of DT consented to participate in this research by completing an online survey through Google Form. These samples were divided into 159 individuals for exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and 159 observations for confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The EFA favored a five-factor model, which was shown to explain over 69% of the data variance. The tentative names for these hidden variables were policy, efficiency, knowledge, facilitating conditions, and behavioral intention. Two items were excluded from the scale measurement due to cross-loading on other factors. The findings of the CFA confirmed and validated the five-factor model, with all test measures meeting the predefined thresholds, indicating an acceptable fit. As opposed to evaluating individual indicators, the findings of this study present five crucial topics for instructors, educators, and policymakers to examine, and they also provide a foundation for interested researchers to perform further studies.
