Lack of availability of medicines can be attributed to various reasons, but the most important and essential one is the high prices of these drugs. The exorbitant prices of drugs are due to the Intellectual Property protection granted to such drugs. It is a huge responsibility for the governments of various countries to keep the prices of medicines low so that the commoners are benefitted. This responsibility is much more on the government of an emerging country. Many times, it has been seen that governments come under immense pressure exerted by the developed & the industrialized countries and also the worldwide medicinal industry. The TRIPS agreement offers the standards required to be fulfilled for grant of a patent, including patents for medicines. There are many safety standards set out by TRIPS for the prevention of patent abuse. But it is of the utmost requirement that there is clarity as to how such standards can be used to prevent patents from creating a hurdle in access to medicines, especially the essential ones. This paper focuses on clarifying this aspect by studying various instruments, the Doha declaration which prioritized public health over IP, the lacunas in the Doha declaration which prevents it from solving all problems, the failure of the World Trade Organization to make sure that generic medicines are exported to the under-developed or the emerging countries, etc.

Post colonialism forms a composite but a critical movement that renewed the perception and understanding of modern history, cultural studies, literature, and political economy. Although it started as an approach to the study of commonwealth literature, it broadened out to include other aspects of north-south relations making an impact on a wide variety of subjects including cultural studies, anthropology, geography, history, and politics. Despite the successful inclusion of the theory in the mentioned fields, the difficulty of mapping it in the field of International Relations (IR) is still evident. As a literary discourse, post colonialism, from the time of its entry to academia has incorporated various themes and issues in bourgeoning its growth. However, this attempt has considerably failed to get deserved attention. While the theory has continued the investigation into the ways in which the subaltern voices are silenced in both the local and global arena, little attention has been placed in the role of music. What this article, therefore, seeks to address is the relevance of music in an enhanced understanding of postcolonial theory. By and large, the zest of the article is to conceptualize music as a serious component of postcolonial theory and to explore a possibility wherein a meaningful linkage can be established between the two.

In today’s time, use of social media defines an era where billions of users, everyday use the power of social media to get empowered. It has the capacity to impact our lives and has opened new opportunities and possibilities that were not possible. Social networks are fundamentally social tools in which people are constantly observing and growing their social network, most social network media depict growth using the degree of point definition, control, and independence. Centrality can also indicate which members are the most useful or well-connected and therefore the best information resources. This research targets the emerging area of group purchasing, social marketing and target advertising. Social marketing will enhance the market understanding by learning what people want and need rather than trying to persuade them to buy what they happen to be offering. The aim of this research is to investigate how the social marketing paradigm works, involve students in the research experiments to educate and train them regarding the latest technologies involved, and identify the approach to do it right. The proposed research successfully implemented an android app dubbed as iSONET (Influential social contact network) to conduct research experiments and interacted with targeted users. This app focuses on i) user’s privacy related issues, ii) periodical data capturing and iii) user’s localization. Couple of research methods are used in research experiments to conduct qualitative and quantitative data including i) I SONET app captures consistent data over time for 4 weeks and helps to build the dynamic datasets of social contact network ii) Conducted online Survey to gather quantitative data from SNS users.

Globalization as well as Rapid industrialization had made an evil impact and led to the over usage of water, since it has been raised drastically in the last decade. This increase in water demand has led to a situation at which humans find difficulty in availing the water for their needs. There has been a great technological research been conducted on waste water recycling methods. Grey-water is a form of waste water, consisting of kitchen water, bathrooms, dish and cloth washers. Reusing of Grey-water has become a better choice, but since the amount of dissolved contents are unknown, it is mandatory to recycle before reuse. Since Grey-water is less in organic and BOD content and free from faecal matter for reproduction of bacteria, it could be recycled easily by adapting various techniques. The recycled water may be used for many regenerative purposes, say irrigating the agricultural lands, toilet flushings, home garden watering, etc. this paper aims in revolving the possible techniques that can be utilized for recycling the grey-water.

First-principles calculations based on Density Functional Theory have been done on Lanthanum manganate. Its orthorhombic unit cell has been simulated. Electronic density of states has been computed and it shows that the material shows the nature of semiconducting material with a band gap of 1.38eV. Dielectric constant and Polarizability of the material have been computed. The value of dielectric constant comes out to be 47.3, 13.3 and 15.2 along X, Y and Z axes respectively with an average value of 25.3. The polarizability values are found to be 55.1(Å)3, 47.2(Å)3 and 48.5 (Å)3 along X, Y and Z axes respectively with an average value of 50.3(Å)3. Phonon modes at gamma point in the material range from 0 cm-1 to 885 cm-1.
