The research aims to identify functional types of semantic dependence within a fragment of the text of parliamentary speeches – the argumentative component. The paper examines the notion of an argumentative component and identifies its main elements. To establish an intentionally determined semantic dependence within this text segment, the notion of an argumentative move (AM) is introduced, which is understood as a functional unit of the addresser’s general communicative strategy and which is aimed at realizing a specific communicative intention. The relations of the functional-semantic connection, updating its argumentative moves, as well as the linguistic means that represent them are described. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that based on the material of the French language, it typologizes the relations of semantic dependence at the micro level of the argumentative construction of the text of parliamentary speeches, taking into account the functional-communicative aspect. As a result of the research, the intentionally determined semantic relations typical for the corpus of texts under study were determined: proper causation (AM ‘causal basis’), nonproper causation (AM ‘argument’), consequence (AM ‘conclusion’), concession (AM ‘insufficient basis’), disjunctiveness (AM ‘expanded alternative’ and AM ‘alternative motivation’), their linguistic markers were identified and systematized.

The research aim of this study is to justify the possibility of using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the process of forming a new language personality when teaching a foreign language in a non-linguistic university when changing motivational triggers. The article examines how changed motivational triggers affect the formation of a new language personality during foreign language instruction in a university under conditions of education digitalization. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time, based on the material of such information and communication technologies as YouTube, ChatGPT, Web 2.0, options for organizing a foreign-language educational process with students of a non-linguistic university in conditions of changing motivational triggers are shown. The study establishes that educational digitalization leads to shifts in motivational triggers, necessitating the use of ICT in foreign language classes in a non-linguistic university. Due to the fact that knowledge is becoming publicly available on the Internet, the role of the teacher is changing. He turns into an assistant, developing students' independence and motivation. The main purpose of such a process will be to form students' clear ideas about how the foreign language being studied can be used to solve everyday tasks, which gives reason to talk about the formation of a new linguistic personality.

The aim of the research is to provide a linguistic-pragmatic characterization of annotations of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) as a type of text. The article analyzes the semantic and linguistic content of the elements comprising MOOC annotations. The scientific novelty of the study lies in offering a comprehensive linguistic characterization of MOOC annotations in the German language for the first time. The research findings establish that MOOC annotations are secondary reproductive texts that provide a recipient with brief information about the content and structure of the primary MOOC text. They are hybrid formations, combining features of academic and popular scientific discourses, as well as techniques typical of advertising and hospitality discourse practices. The substantive structure of MOOC annotations is more diverse than their compositional structure. Not all content components are strictly tied to specific compositional elements; they may be repeated in different variations within the same text. The choice of linguistic means in MOOC annotations largely depends on the communication style preferred by the course creators and the intended target audience.

The aim of the proposed research is to identify the reasons for the emergence of Fenland mythology, which defines the cognitive thinking and life cycle of characters in the novel "Waterland" by G. Swift. The article raises the question of the subjective perception of Fenland myth, which may vary depending on the individual. The author offers the following typology of myth recipients for consideration: the first type of people turns stories into gossip, the second transforms the "magical land" for practical purposes, and the third secularizes the religious beliefs of the Fens. The reason why the main character, the teacher Tom Crick, rejects mythological thinking in his youth but later explains to his students the peculiarities and unwritten rules of Fenian mythology, is explained. The scientific novelty lies in the author's identification, based on the work "Waterland," of the patterns of the relationship between Fenian mythology and the "grand history" of the world; the nuances of the influence of mythology on history and vice versa are explained; the historical root causes of the emergence of tales and gossip are revealed. The results of the study show that, firstly, legends arise in the consciousness of Fens during contemplation of the emptiness of the "flat Fens"; secondly, subjective perception of the myth depends on a person's connection to historical reality; thirdly, teacher Crick mentally returns to the beginning of his life (to the myths) to try to rid his students of the horror of the "end of history."

The paper is dedicated to the analysis of the phenomenon of linguistic creativity. By analyzing theoretical material related to linguistic creativity, the author emphasizes the close relationship between concepts such as word formation and linguistic creativity. The author also examines the creation of new linguistic creative units from the perspective of an anthropocentric model, where the subject is at the center. According to this model, new occasional (complex authorial) units possess a range of characteristics. The subject, utilizing complex nominative (polysynthetic) structures in the speech, such as word-phrases and word-sentences, as tools for constructing/perceiving reality and personal individualization, uses the creative potential of language. The research aim is to identify the linguistic creative nature of polysynthetic nominations in English language media discourse. The scientific novelty of this research lies in the development of an algorithm for linguistic (lexical) analysis aimed at a thorough scientific description of polysynthetic nominations and the identification of their integral and differential features. The scientific description revealed that a significant portion of the identified polysynthetic nominations in the English segment of the Internet is not documented in dictionaries. As a result, the linguistic creative nature of complex-syntactic (polysynthetic) nominations, which have become an integral part of the language system due to the active development of information and communication technologies, is uncovered.

The aim of the research is to identify the distinctive characteristics of the terminological composition of navigation discourse. The insufficient study of the peculiarities of the terminology of navigation discourse determines the scientific novelty of the conducted research, which lies in identifying and providing a comprehensive description of the structural and lexical-semantic characteristics of navigation terminology as a component of the maritime discourse terminology system. The results of the research allow us to state that one of the features of the terminological composition of navigation discourse, which has been developing for several centuries, is the presence of a significant layer of loan lexical units. Additionally, the formation and expansion of this terminology system occurred through word formation. The research also revealed that the distinguishing characteristics of navigation terminology include the presence of a significant volume of standard phrases, the frequency of intra-industry polysemantic terms, and a large number of idiomatic terminological units at the level of derivatives and idioms. The study was conducted using the English language material.

The aim of the research is to group the socio-political vocabulary of the Ingush language according to the spheres of its usage. The article is dedicated to the classification of socio-political vocabulary, identifying thematic groups within it. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the classification of lexemes of the socio-political vocabulary of the Ingush language based on the fields of activity in which this lexical layer is used. Such systematization will allow tracking quantitative and qualitative changes in the composition of the socio-political vocabulary of the Ingush language. The research results have shown that lexemes in the socio-political sphere of the Ingush language can be categorized into four groups: administrative-political, socio-economic, military-legal, and religious. It has been established that the socio-political vocabulary of the Ingush language is updated along with changes in the social, political, economic, military, and religious life of society, leading to an expansion of the lexical composition in all the aforementioned spheres. The study revealed that adoption is the primary way for the emergence of new words. Religious lexemes are predominantly borrowed from the Arabic language. Additionally, new words that have appeared in the language in the last decade are borrowed from the Russian language.

The aim of the research is to identify the specificity of literary interpretation of the category of memory as a component of the ideological-artistic system in the epic prose of the Balkar writer A. Teppeev. The novels of the writer ("Heavy Millstones," "Will," "Syrat Bridge") are examined in terms of the functioning of the motif of memory in them. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that through the analysis of these works, methods of embodying the stated problem are revealed: creating the images of storytellers as keepers of folk memory, representing the ethno-cultural concept of stone filled with symbolic content, incorporating folklore reminiscences into the narrative, and actualizing national origins. The research notes the significant role of ethno-cultural and oral poetic traditions in the development of spiritual continuity. It defines the conceptual significance of memory (historical, ancestral, spiritual) in shaping the artistic worldview and expressing the author's position. It is emphasized that in the context of narration, memory is interpreted as one of the key factors in preserving national identity in the history of the people.

The article is dedicated to the comparison of the metaphorical meanings of the lexemes ‘булка’ and ‘Brötchen’ in the German and Russian languages. In contemporary linguistic-cultural studies, comparisons of concepts and the creation of bilingual linguistic-cultural dictionaries play a special role, with key concepts of conceptualization and categorization. The research aim was to develop the structure of a dictionary entry in a bilingual figurative type dictionary, providing a clear representation of the similarities and differences in the directions of metaphoricalization. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that the commonly accepted classification of lexical units based on their lexical and grammatical features was not used in developing the structure. A semantic feature was chosen as the category, allowing for the construction and tracing of semantic relationships with units of different groups, including lexemes of higher levels of abstraction, facilitating the search for figurative equivalents based on a given parameter. The research results expand the understanding of the concepts ХЛЕБ/BROT, whose distinctive features are still insufficiently studied. The developed rubricator can be applied in creating a specialized electronic dictionary.
