This publication is conducted in the stream of studying neology in the modern language influenced by the active use of internet communication and network discursive practices. The aim of the research is to identify the semantic and pragmatic characteristics of the linguistic realization of the concept of SLACKTIVISM. The social significance of the concept is asserted, its intersections and relationships with semantically similar concepts such as PROPAGANDA, ACTIVISM circulating in the modern networked information space are determined. The scientific novelty of the conducted research lies in providing a systematic description of a new, unstudied concept in domestic philology, on the basis of the Russian, English, and French languages. This includes accentuating the history of its emergence, the contradictory nature of its linguistic implementation in the digital discourse of new media, and network techno-discursive practices. As a result, the concept of SLACKTIVISM is portrayed as an expression of a new form of internet activity that contributes to social and political changes both on a narrow scale and in the broader geopolitical space. The linguistic level examination indicates preferences for figurative nominations and common means of representation in European languages and national-cultural specificity.

The aim of this study is to identify ways to visualize precedent situations in a modern advertising poster. The article examines the visualization of precedent situations in a modern advertising poster. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time, using the material of advertising discourse and, in particular, French-language advertising discourse, the peculiarities of the functioning of precedent situations were investigated. The authors are first to describe and analyze the ways of functioning of precedent situations as pragmatic influence complex objects in the advertising discourse. Moreover, the authors considered the possible formats for presenting precedent situations, such as by mentioning precedent names, events, as well as appeals to them. As a result of the conducted research, it was found that a modern advertising poster has a specific structure, a binary semiotic space consisting of graphic and iconic components. The use of precedent situations within the framework of advertising discourse allows one to actualize the pragmatic function of the advertising poster, thereby emphasizing the advantages of using the advertised service, and also allows one to increase the attractive and pragmatic potential of the advertising poster in terms of the impact of this advertising object on the addressee.

The article is dedicated to describing the features of implementing the category of indirect politeness in the speech of the German politician Markus Söder. The research objective is to identify the linguistic means of expressing indirect politeness within the framework of communicative strategies and tactics in the political discourse of the German language. The study describes the linguistic means of implementing indirect politeness in political discourse, specifically in political talk shows. The scientific novelty of the research is linked to the continuous development of political discourse, where the specificity of impoliteness under the mask of politeness within the framework of political media discourse is identified for the first time using previously unexplored material in the German language. The research results revealed that all three types of communicative strategies influencing political positioning are almost equally present in the politician's speech. Strategies of indirect politeness were also identified, with the most frequent being the strategies of using tautology and changing the addressee. These results indicate that despite the confrontational nature of political discourse, the politician is still able to maintain politeness, which explains his popularity among voters.

The objective of this research is to establish the presence of affixes in the Kabardian-Circassian language that express different modes of action within the verb. The study identifies a group of verbal suffixes that give the action of the verb a completive (finalizing) character, demonstrating their functioning in terms of lexico-grammar. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the first comprehensive analysis that defines the existence of affixes expressing the completive character of the mode of verbal action in this language, considering their semantic modifications and the regularity of the models within the researched group. The results indicate the presence of a group of suffixes in the Kabardian-Circassian language united by the common semantics of bringing an action to a final result. Achieving the final phase of the action in this language often implies completeness, thoroughness, and sometimes the expressiveness of the action. The research results demonstrate the high valency of some verbal suffixes within the examined group. The less productive ones exhibit even more diverse inflectional capabilities that contribute to the development of word-formation theory and the inflectional system of the Kabardian-Circassian verb.

The present article is devoted to the study of the specifics of the “Onegin text” development in the modern literary process, which allows us to determine the nature of the reception of the classical text in the Russian poetry of recent decades. The aim of the research is to study the peculiarities of development and transformation of plots and motifs of the “Onegin text” in the literary process of modernity. The scientific novelty is determined by the fact that for the first time modern poetic revisions of A. S. Pushkin’s novel in verse “Eugene Onegin” are comprehended in the stated aspect, which allows us to expand the idea of their problem-thematic originality and compositional principles, as well as to determine the place of poetic paraphrases in the literary process of the XXI century. As a result, firstly, it is established that the emergence of a large number of the “Onegin texts” in the modern literary process is caused both by the desire to move away from the clichéd perception of the classical model and to comprehend modern reality through the prism of the genre of Pushkin’s novel in verse. Deconstructing the genre canon of Pushkin’s work, modern authors create travesty texts, various kinds of paraphrases and parodies of the classical plot, where the iconic hero becomes a marker of the contemporary era. Secondly, it was found that the authors of the 21st century create fanfics in order to draw attention to the creative personality of the creator of the text, to make it popular on the Internet. In addition, the emergence of the “Onegin texts” is due to the desire to reflect on the imperfections of the era, when the classical picture of the world is taken as a reference point.

The aim of the paper is to establish and describe the frame structure of an allusive anthroponym as a representative of an literary concept on the basis of Donna Tartt’s novel “The Secret History”. It is shown that allusive anthroponyms belong to onomastic realities, connotative lexicon, activating the concepts of the literary text. The scientific novelty of the work consists in the cognitive approach to the analysis of the literary concept through the establishment of the frame structure of an allusive anthroponym as a representative of the textual concept on the material of Donna Tartt’s novel “The Secret History” and working out a methodological model of analysis of the frame structure of allusive anthroponym. It is shown that an allusive anthroponym has a frame structure including a number of cognitive components. An allusive anthroponym can represent a text frame and can act as a component of it, representing the author’s worldview, and contributing to the creation of an literary image. The obtained results have shown that an allusive anthroponym can serve as a means of verbalising a text frame, which has a structure including such conceptual componenets as the frame name, time, place of action, the subject of the frame, the relation between objects / participants of the action, the characteristic of the action (with the involvement of encyclopaedic information).

The research objective is to identify the methods of abbreviation using the example of the English-language terminological system of transport logistics and the problems that arise when using abbreviated terms. The article examines what an abbreviated terminological unit represents and specifies the reasons for the appearance of such terms in professional terminological systems. The features of abbreviating English terms in transport logistics are analyzed, a quantitative analysis of the obtained data is conducted, determining the most productive method of abbreviations. The author also provides a list of measures to solve the problems that arise when using abbreviated terms. The scientific novelty of the work lies in identifying methods of term abbreviation in the English-language terminological system of transport logistics and developing a classification of abbreviation models for the first time. As a result, a clear classification scheme of abbreviations for terms in transport logistics is presented, along with proposed ways to overcome difficulties in using such terminological units. Additionally, identical brief terms within one terminological system and abbreviated terms matching abbreviations from other terminologies have been identified.

The research focuses on the pressing issue of contemporary political discourse – the technologies of manipulation in the media space, specifically the linguistic mechanisms for transmitting pragmatic attitudes and value orientations in journalistic texts. These processes directly correlate with the phenomenon of increasing entropy in the text and, as the study has shown, largely arise from the rhizome - the nonlinear nature of organizing integrity. The research aim is to identify the linguistic mechanisms underlying the rhizomatic structure of media text. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that for the first time, using a specific info-cause as an example, the rhizome is examined as a mechanism for implementing manipulative strategies in the modern German-speaking media space; the conditioned technologies of modeling pragmatic attitudes by the rhizome are revealed; the explicit and implicit mechanisms of implementing this process are described. The obtained results have shown that in journalistic texts, the rhizome manifests itself as multi-vectorial and the contradictory transmission of information, greatly enhancing the possibilities of interpretations inherent in the language structure, becoming a significant mechanism for implementing manipulative strategies.

The research objective is to identify the constitutive features of a geographic essay as a distinct type of discourse. The scientific novelty lies in conducting for the first time the study of the hybrid nature of the 19th to early 20th-century geographic essays, determining and analyzing its primary components. The article also introduces the author's definition of the term “hybrid discourse”. The research is based on the classification proposed by V. I. Karasik, who suggested considering discourse participants, goals, values, chronotopes, themes, genres, strategies, precedent texts, and discursive formulas as the main components of discourse. The study revealed that scientific and artistic discourses form the discursive basis of geographic essays. The key constitutive features of the 19th to early 20th-century geographic essays are presented and described in the analysis. The research identified the key elements of the scientific discourse including main objectives, values, themes, primary chronotopes, central informational strategy, precedent texts, and discursive formulas. The artistic component of these essays is expressed through the formation of secondary objectives, as well as additional chronotope frameworks and diverse frequency strategies.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the text of Andrei Turgenev’s fiction novel “So that God tears you to pieces from the inside!”, published as a separate book by the Moscow publishing house “Eksmo” in 2008. The research was undertaken in order to identify and comprehend the imitation strategies of the critic Vyacheslav Kuritsyn, who acted as a novelist under the pseudonym Andrey Turgenev. The authors of the work prove that the “precedent” pseudonym of the author, allusively associated with the name of the Russian classic Ivan Turgenev, gives rise to the idea of a literary game started by the critic-writer to create an imitation text, the so-called “secondary” text. However, the authors emphasize that the classical Turgenev traditions were ignored by the modern writer. On the one hand he tried to combine the visual techniques of Fellini cinema in the novel text, and on the other hand, to reproduce the techniques and practices of the Moscow conceptualists D. Prigov, L. Rubinstein, V. Sorokin, etc. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the various aspects of the Kuritsyn-Turgenev novel are analytically examined, the axiological angles of the author’s playing position are revealed, and the dialogical connections of the novel are explicated. As a result, it is proved that (along with stylistic blunders) the dignity of the Kuritsyn-Turgenev genre experiment consists of an appeal to fundamental issues of literature and creativity, a semantically significant wealth of intertextual references to modern Russian and world literature.
