Design considerations of high-speed induction machines for high-temperature applications 高温应用中高速感应电机的设计考虑

This paper deals with the considerations associated with the design of high-speed, high torque-density induction machines, to be used in elevated temperature environments. The considerations discussed are described by the design cycle iterations of an actual 9.5 kW machine, which runs at speeds of up to 75 krpm, with a rated torque density of 44 kNm/m3. Particular emphasis is made on the interaction (and conflict) of electromagnetic fields, thermal fields and mechanical constraints.

Experimental study on harmonic losses of a dual-stator synchronous motor with redundant voltage source inverter (VSI) drive 冗余电压源逆变器驱动双定子同步电机谐波损耗的实验研究

This paper presents the results and conclusions on loss measurements of a 1 MW dual-stator synchronous motor with redundant voltage source inverter (VSI) drive. Measurements were performed on both 3-phase configuration with paralleled stator systems and 6-phase configuration with 30 degree phase shift between the stator systems (YY30). The results prove the applicability of YY30 configuration with VSI drive and provide insight into the theory of flux cancellation and stator current harmonics on dual stator motors.

A novel switching table using zero voltage vectors for direct torque control in permanent magnet synchronous motor 一种基于零电压矢量的永磁同步电机直接转矩控制开关表

In this paper the theory of direct torque control (DTC) in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is investigated. The effect of zero voltage vectors on the performances of the PMSM DTC drives is analyzed. Different from the conventional switching table eliminating zero voltage vectors, a novel switching table using zero voltage vectors is proposed. Simulation results show that the PMSM DTC drives work properly under the control of the table. The advantages of the novel switching table are given compared to other switching tables for the DTC in PMSM.

The paper briefly presents the fundamentals of the mathematical models theory of the synchronous machine in the general case. In the end one obtains on this basis quantitative data of interest for estimating a given dynamic process. The results also give qualitative information that present scientific interest regarding in special the dynamic processes at synchronization, the oscillations of the rotating magnetic field and their strong link with the rotor speed.

The purpose of this paper consists in the characterization of the traction force for a new linear switched reluctance machine (LSRM) for low speed light electric traction applications. In this work the machine is tested, for each position, at standstill. The experimental methodology allows the determination of the magnetization characteristics as well as the static mechanical resistant force.

This work presents the development of an experimental device that was designed and developed in order to consider a number of geometric simplifications aiming at the validation of a CFD model applied to the external fan system of an electric motor. The geometry of the experimental device is transposed to CFD software and the numeric results are compared with the previously obtained experimental data of airspeed and power consumption of the fan system. The obtained results present good correlation between experimental and numerical data.

The performance of a speed sensorless variable structure direct torque controlled interior permanent magnet synchronous motor drive is investigated in this paper. The speed is estimated using position information extracted using high frequency signal injection at low speeds and a sliding observer at high speeds. The changeover between these two algorithms is performed using a weighting function which smoothly hands over position information used for speed, torque and flux estimation. Experiments were performed to test the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and results show that the sensorless drive is capable of accurately estimating position and speed at very low speeds including zero speed.

Rotor resistance adaptation for vector controlled induction motors considering deviations of the main inductance caused by the quadrature current 考虑正交电流引起的主电感偏差的矢量控制异步电动机转子电阻自适应

The vector control scheme for induction motors using the rotor flux reference frame is well known. To provide proper torque production, knowledge of the rotor time constant is essential. Many adaptation schemes have been presented using different paradigms. In this paper a scheme for rotor time constant adaptation is applied, which uses the difference between the measured and the calculated reactive power to calculate a correcting factor for the rotor time constant. Measurements have shown that the main inductance which is crucial to the calculation of the reactive power depends both on the magnetizing current and on the quadrature current. The adaptation scheme is therefore modified to consider this effect, improving the accuracy of torque production.

Synchronous generator, excitation and speed governor modeling in ATP-EMTP for interconnected DG Studies 同步发电机,励磁和调速器建模在ATP-EMTP互连DG的研究

The main task in this paper is to present a performance analysis of a distribution network in the presence of a synchronous generator with its speed and voltage regulators, in parallel with the distribution system, for distributed generation studies. Must be highlighted that this generator is driven by a steam turbine, and the whole system with regulators and the equivalent of the power authority system in the point of connection (PAC) are modeled in the ldquoATP - Alternative Transients Programrdquo. Technical questions studied here refer to steady-state voltage profile, voltage stability, voltage dip due to a balanced three-phase fault, load rejection, distribution line outage and the behavior of machine regulators facing the aforementioned contingencies. Results show that, in some cases, the independent power producer (IPA) can be a menace to the physical integrity of the system and in other cases can be very beneficial to the distribution system in the point of connection.
