Axial flux PM machine design with optimum magnet shape for constant power region capability 轴向磁通永磁电机设计与最佳磁体形状恒定功率区域的能力

Unlike radial flux machines, slotted axial flux machine has a particular airgap flux distribution which is a function of the machine diameter. Due to the rectangular slot geometry, stator teeth present a trapezoidal geometry with small tooth width close to the shaft, increasing as the diameter becomes larger. This fact introduces an uneven airgap flux distribution if a constant flux source, such as rectangular PM, is utilized to magnetize the machine. As a result, flux density over the stator tooth becomes irregular, inductance parameters are a function of the stator diameter and saliency varies according to machine load. All these effects degrade machine power capability for low and rated load. In this paper, a novel axial flux PM machine with tangential magnetization is presented. An analytic and numerical study is carried out to consider stator tooth geometry and its effect over machine saliency ratio.

Simulation of thyristor operated induction generator by Simulink, Psim and Plecs 用Simulink、Psim和Plecs对可控硅感应发电机进行仿真

The paper presents simulation results about thyristor operation of a mains connected induction machine, both as a motor and as a generator. The results were obtained by three different simulation packages, Simulink, Psim and Plecs. The cosimulation options between these programs were checked. The performances of these three packages were compared. The simulation results were validated by real experiments.

This paper presents the novel starting performance analysis for a single-phase capacitor-run permanent magnet motor with skewed rotor slots. 2-D time-stepping finite element analysis has been used to successfully predict the starting performance of the prototype motor by using a multislice model. The agreement between computed and measured results of the prototype motor validates the proposed analysis. The run-up response corresponding to skew pitch has been given from the simulation results.

Magnetic analysis of flux barriers Synchronous Reluctance Motors 磁闸同步磁阻电动机的磁分析

Aim of the paper is to propose an analytical procedure that can be employed during the sizing of the synchronous reluctance motor with ldquoflux barriersrdquo rotor for motor performance prediction and could represent an alternative to the Finite Element approach. The procedure allows to evaluate the total MMF along direct d and quadrature q axes; the d-q magnetic circuits have been divided in several paths and the magnetic analysis has been carried out calculating partial MMFs separately for each path using specific equations with suitable coefficients derived from curves proposed by the authors. The procedure could be easily integrated with a design optimization technique for fast and efficacious fulfillment of motor specifications.

This paper deals with alternative solution of submersible sealed oil-extended motor - submersible unprotected solid-rotor induction motor of 12/18 kW, 750/1500 V, 3000/6000 rpm, which can operate inside oil well, in corrosive medium-strata liquid (mixture of oil, associated water, mineral admixture and oil gas) with ambient temperature 1500degC and pressure 30 MPa. To estimate the performance of the solid rotor motor two-dimensional (2D) nonlinear complex time-harmonic solver is constructed to model the machine in steady-state. Non liner magnetic material characteristics, the different rotor construction were taken into account.

Investigation of part winding start used in cage induction motors 笼型异步电动机部分绕组起动的研究

The paper presents a new calculation method for induction motors with an unsymmetrical stator winding. In these cases, the usual T-equivalent circuit for stationary operation is no longer valid, but one coil of the machine has to be used as the smallest symmetry unit. Unsymmetrical windings may cause additional asynchronous and synchronous harmonic torques that might e.g. prevent the start-up. The new calculation method was verified by measurements of a large manufacturer of part winding motors where during start-up only a part of the stator winding - e.g. one of two parallel branches per phase - is connected to the mains. The calculation scheme leads to good results in the prediction of the start-up characteristic of such motors.

The suitability of solid rotor technology in a high power output hermetic natural gas compression application was studied. Two new solid-rotor designs for an 8 MW, 6.6 kV, 12000 min-1 and a 10 MW machine were done and the motors successfully tested. The former carries a purely solid, slitted rotor and the latter has a copper cage manufactured of copper bars inserted in solid rotor core drill bores.

Simulation of wind power generation with matrix and multi-level converters: Power quality analysis 基于矩阵和多级变流器的风力发电仿真:电能质量分析

This paper presents a new integrated model for the simulation of wind power generation systems. This model is not only more accurate but also computationally acceptable. It uses pulse width modulation by space vector modulation associated with sliding mode for controlling the converters. Power factor control at the output of the converters is considered in the model. We present a case study showing the harmonic behavior for the current injected in the electrical network, computed by the Fast Fourier Transform. Finally, we draw comparative conclusions between the performance of the matrix and multi-level converters.

Multiairgap friction direct drive linear actuator with permanent magnets 多气隙摩擦直驱永磁体直线执行器

These article deals with a special high performances, large extension, direct drive linear actuator for an aeronautical application. The purpose of this actuator is to remove the mechanical transmission, classically used, in order to increase the reliability. This actuator can reach very high performances in terms of mass and volume because of the multiplication of the number of airgaps. A particularity of this actuator is also the friction of the movable parts on the fixed parts. It allows to use very small dimensions on the active parts and so to increase the performances. The experimental results confirm the high performances of this structure (~ 1000 N/kg and ~ 5000 N/dm3).

This study aims to estimate equivalent circuit parameters for a synchronous machine. The need for equivalent circuits rises from practical applications. Accurate models are needed for control design and power system analysis. The research was conducted using the 2D finite element analysis and the differential evolution algorithm. As an input to the synchronous machine, a pulse is used within the FEA at the rated operation point. The pulse was applied to the line-to-line voltage of the stator. Using the pulse input, the harmonic excitation can be avoided. The input in addition to the response provided the numerical data for estimation. On one hand, theoretical equations based on the equivalent circuits can be derived. The theoretical model was fitted in the numerical data using the least-squares cost formulation, and the DE algorithm was used to minimize the cost function. Results for a 6-pole, 12.5 MW synchronous machine are presented.
