Optimized and efficient decision-making systems is the burning topic of research in modern manufacturing industry. The aforesaid statement is validated by the fact that the limitations of traditional decision-making system compresses the length and breadth of multi-objective decision-system application in FMS. The bright area of FMS with more complexity in control and reduced simpler configuration plays a vital role in decision-making domain. The decision-making process consists of various activities such as collection of data from shop floor; appealing the decision-making activity; evaluation of alternatives and finally execution of best decisions. While studying and identifying a suitable decision-making approach the key critical factors such as decision automation levels, routing flexibility levels and control strategies are also considered. This paper investigates the cordial relation between the system ideality and process response time with various prospective of decision-making approaches responsible for shop-floor control of FMS. These cases are implemented to a real-time FMS problem and it is solved using ARENA simulation tool. ARENA is a simulation software that is used to calculate the industrial problems by creating a virtual shop floor environment. This proposed topology is being validated in real time solution of FMS problems with and without implementation of decision system in ARENA simulation tool. The real-time FMS problem is considered under the case of full routing flexibility. Finally, the comparative analysis of the results is done graphically and conclusion is drawn.

The developed countries are consuming more amount of energy in all forms including electricity continuously with advanced technologies. Developing nation’s energy usage trend rises quickly but very less in comparison with their population and their method of generating power is not seems to be as advanced as developed nations. The objective function of this linear programming model is to maximize the average efficiency of power generation inIndia for 2020 by giving preference to energy efficient technologies. This model is subjected to various constraints like potential, demand, running cost and Hydrogen / Carbon ratio, isolated load, emission and already installed capacities. Tora package is used to solve this linear program. Coal, Gas, Hydro and Nuclear sources can are supply around 87 % of power requirement . It’s concluded that we can produce power at overall efficiency of 37% while meeting a huge demand of 13,00,000 GWh of electricity. The objective function shows the scenario of highaverage efficiency with presence of 9% renewables. Maximum value is restricted by low renewable source’s efficiencies, emission constraints on fossil fuels and cost restriction on some of efficient technologies. This model shows that maximum 18% of total requirement can be met by renewable itself which reduces average efficiency to 35.8%. Improving technologies of renewable sources and necessary capacity addition to them in regular interval will enhance their role and existence against fossil fuels in future. The work involves conceptualizing, modeling, gathering information for data’s to be used in model for problem solving and presenting different scenarios for same objective.

The entire character recognition system is logically characterized into different sections like Scanning, Pre-processing, Classification, Processing, and Post-processing. In the targeted system, the scanned image is first passed through pre-processing modules then feature extraction, classification in order to achieve a high recognition rate. This paper describes mainly on Feature extraction and Classification technique. These are the methodologies which play an important role to identify offline handwritten characters specifically in Gujarati language. Feature extraction provides methods with the help of which characters can identify uniquely and with high degree of accuracy. Feature extraction helps to find the shape contained in the pattern. Several techniques are available for feature extraction and classification, however the selection of an appropriate technique based on its input decides the degree of accuracy of recognition.

This paper addresses a method to obtain color edge detection for images corrupted with Gaussian noise and impulse noise, to correctly reproduce distinct, continuous edges based on non-linear prefiltering followed by block-by-block rotations to locate the edges in all orientations. In this work our major goal is to eliminate the noise from noisy image as edges are the most important detailing areas in an image and addition of noise corrupt these edges which result in lack of clarity. In our proposed work we are proposing a efficient hybrid algorithm to preserve the edges of image based upon Canny operator. Our proposed scheme is based on rotation, median filtering and performing morphological thinning. This scheme is evaluated on basis of FOM(Figure Of Merit) parameter and our result are efficient than previous technique. This paper is divided into some sections.

Quality has become a competitive weapon in both the manufacturing and the service sector. And from past few decades, service sector particularly education sector has been neglected in terms of quality improvement efforts or we can say that quality improvement strategies are not being implemented in the education sector. Day by day the number of educational institutes is increasing and most of them are being managed by private management. As profitability is their major concern, therefore the aspect of quality is being overlooked. Today the higher educational Institutions are exposed with global competition and facing a lot of problems such as low graduation rates, higher drop-out rate, less employability etc. Therefore educational organizations must adapt six sigma methodologies to improve the quality of higher education. Although the method of applying statistical process control in education industry is really challenging but in this thesis we take a primary step to search out a solution for the education sector so that they can improve the quality of higher education.

There are several indexing techniques used in retrieval of spatial data. In this paper a comparative analysis is performed on three spatial indexing techniques- GiST (Generalized Search Tree), SP_GiST (Space partition Generalized Search Tree) and R-tree (Rectangle tree) in spatial database PostgreSQL/Postgre using Java API. The comparison is performed on five categories of spatial and non spatial queries ,namely Simple SQL, Geometry, Spatial Relational ship, Spatial Join and Nearest Neighborhood based on benchmark dataset of New York city. This paper performs experiment in all five categories and compares performance for each category on index structure.

Cloud storage system is to provides facilitative file storage and sharing services for distributed clients. The cloud storage preserve the privacy of data holders by proposing a scheme to manage encrypted data storage with deduplication. This process can flexibly support data sharing with deduplication even when the data holder is offline, and it does not intrude the privacy of data holders. It is an effective approach to verify data ownership and check duplicate storage with secure challenge and big data support. We integrate cloud data deduplication with data access control in a simple way, thus reconciling data deduplication and encryption. We prove the security and assess the performance through analysis and simulation. The results show its efficiency, effectiveness and applicability. In this proposed system the upload data will be stored on the cloud based on date. This means that it has to be available to the data holder who need it when they need it. The web log record represents whether the keyword is repeated or not. Records with only repeated search data are retained in primary storage in cloud. All the other records are stored in temporary storage server. This step reduces the size of the web log thereby avoids the burden on the memory and speeds up the analysis.

Software systems are any software product or applications that support business domains such as Manufacturing,Aviation, Health care, insurance and so on.Software quality is a means of measuring how software is designed and how well the software conforms to that design. Some of the variables that we are looking for software quality are Correctness, Product quality, Scalability, Completeness and Absence of bugs, However the quality standard that was used from one organization is different from other for this reason it is better to apply the software metrics to measure the quality of software. Attributes that we gathered from source code through software metrics can be an input for software defect predictor. Software defect are an error that are introduced by software developer and stakeholders. Finally, in this study we discovered the application of machine learning on software defect that we gathered from the previous research works.
