In this paper we seek to know how pedagogical, technological and social benefit factors, as well as the reputation of the Google for Education platform, influence student trust, and to what extent that trust determines their affective commitment and academic performance. The research is non-experimental and correlational, applying the method of structural equations, with a quantitative orientation through a structured survey. The results of the sample indicate that the students develop an affective commitment in the adoption and use of the Google for Education platform, this being the determining factor of their academic performance to a greater degree; that is, students create emotional relationships with their teacher through the use of ICT.

The results of a research carried out in Ecuador are presented. It is a migratory phenomenon analysis through its problems, approached from gender perspective, based on a survey designed exclusively for this purpose. The sample was collected basically in the province of Azuay, province of Ecuador. The results showed that at least in this case, they had positive experiences both when leaving and when returning. The departure was motivated to a large extent by the Ecuadorian crisis of 2000 and the Ecuadorian migratory return by the Spanish crisis of 2008, although they were not the only factors: the absence of the family, the conflicts of the couple and the reunification, were also relevant.

The use of songbirds for the pet market is a traditional activity in Mexico. Pajareros are the main users of these birds through subsistence permits. The objective is to diagnose the collaboration between stakeholders related to the use of these birds. The transdisciplinary analysis was carried out between four stakeholders from four different sectors related to the songbirds, at the workshop that took place in Michoacan from November 5th to 8th, 2015. We constructed and analyzed a sociogram which shows all stakeholders and their power relationships. The analysis reflected the factors that benefit and obstruct the collaboration for the sustainable use of the songbirds in Mexico. Finally, the challenges to achieve the sustainable use of songbirds are presented.

The article evaluates the public security policy in Mexico during the six-year terms of Felipe Calderon Hinojosa and Enrique Pena Nieto, based on the results of ENVIPE, from its first publication in 2010 to 2018. The analysis considers three substantial lines: the perception of insecurity, institutional trust, and the citizen’s assessment of government performance to reduce insecurity in the country. To obtain the results, an external and ex-post-facto evaluation was carried out, from which it was concluded that the social assessment of the government intervention for the improvement of public security was reprobative and practically imperceptible to citizens, during both six-year periods.

Social linkages and their relationship to the adoption of good agricultural practices in coffee, using the social network approach are analyzed. Semi-structured questionnaires were applied on socio-economic aspects, adoption of good production practices and social relationships applied to 67 coffee farmers. Coffee producers have areas and average yields of 2.4 ha and 1.9 t/ha1, respectively. The practices adopted are related to crop management, pest control and use of new strains. There is a low density of linkages that indicate poor connectivity between producers, research nodes and suppliers. The structure of relationships under the current scenario, hinders the process of adoption of good agricultural practices by low linking to external sources of information.

The environmental impact of consumption caused the presence of an emerging market. Consequently, an interest arises in studying this market. The objective of the study is to determine if there are types of consumers according to their environmental attitude in the Mexican market to contribute to the understanding of the phenomenon of environmental activities and purchases from a cross-sectional investigation using the cluster analysis method. The results identified the grouping according to 3 attitudes: selfish, indifferent and biospheric. The originality of the study consists of grouping consumers based on their environmental activities and after describing them based on their household purchases. The findings show the existence of different types of consumers according to their environmental attitudes.

The Mauritia flexuosa palm swamp forest (aguajales) are considered the main Amazonian tropical peatlands that contribute to the maintenance of biodiversity and the hydrological cycle, in addition to their considerable contribution in carbon sequestration and storage. Through an exhaustive literature review and field observations we identify the importance, threat factors and opportunity for these ecosystems. The peatlands store more than twice as much carbon as all the world’s forests together and form a target group for the study of climate change. Access to non-destructive extraction systems for the harvest of fruits must be articulated with socio-economic development plans. The application of participatory environmental education policies and economic incentives to the communities that protect these valuable territories is a priority.

The review of the literature presented was goal critically and analytically exposing how connectivism and neuroeducation are trans-disciplines that explain formative processes in the digital age. The information revealed dynamics, and interpretations of these, from different epistemic positions. In the heuristic phase criteria were taken such as: year of publication, language, methodology, findings. We proceeded to the hermeneutic phase where it was interpreted and concluded that the techno-scientific era has brought consequences and changes to the teaching-learning systems, so references are required that warn what learning and knowledge construction are not necessarily in the mind, but through devices and technological infrastructures, also forcing the understanding of the the brain’s functioning.
