The features of the Mandelstam-Brillouin scattering in various kinds of erbium-doped optical fibers are considered. The relationship between the frequency properties of the Mandelstam - Brillouin scattering, the Brillouin frequency shift, the distribution of the backscattered signal and the structure of the optical fiber core is analyzed.

Results of Simulation and Experimental Research of Automobile Gas Diesel Engine 车用燃气柴油机仿真与实验研究结果

The paper is dedicated to conversion of a truck diesel engine into a gas diesel engine. Different ways of diesel engine conversion for operation on natural gas were analyzed. The gas diesel working process with minimized portion of igniting diesel fuel supplied by the Common Rail system was selected as the most suitable for such an engine. Modular gas feed and electronic engine control systems were developed in MADI which may be mounted on high- and medium-speed gas diesel engines. The fuel supply system of the base diesel engine was preserved though a new algorithm of fuel injection for the gas diesel engine was developed. The systems were perfected using simulation by computer model developed in MADI and during engine tests. The gas diesel engine demonstrated good fuel efficiency and considerable decrease of NOx and CO2 emissions, though its power at low speed decreased compared to the base diesel engine. The ways to improve this drawback during the future work were proposed.

Network Quality Operation Prediction Based on Machine Learning Algorithms 基于机器学习算法的网络质量运行预测

The article proposes a solution to the problem of predicting the quality of a computer network using a popular machine learning method - a decision tree. Considered a real case of quality problems in the network when the web server is running. Based on the analysis of traffic recorded during the operation of the network, when problems were observed in it, a decision tree was constructed. Using the obtained model, numerical experiments were carried out to predict the moments when users have problems opening web pages. The results of assessing the quality of the prediction model obtained are given.

An Interdisciplinary Approach to Recording the State of Redundancy of the Source in Dentistry for Rheumatoid Diseases 记录类风湿疾病牙科来源冗余状态的跨学科方法

An information approach based on the concept of source redundancy is used to create a mathematical model with the goal of formalizing the state of a person’s body or part of it, which facilitates signal generation. The possibility of digital processing of content with formalized transformation is shown. We can provide more than fifteen years of experience in on-board highly skilled dental care for children suffering from rheumatic diseases instead of emergency solutions. The primary algorithm was formed dental examination for these children with the opportunity to adopt an interdisciplinary communication of various specialists when installing diagnosis and treatment, especially at distant moving objects.

The article provides an analysis of research and publication activity of Russian and international scientists in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The resources of the Scopus information bases, Web of Science and Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) were used for the analysis. AI papers on Scopus have increased 8x since 1996, but all research articles have increased 2.6x for the same time.

Analysis of the Transmission Modes and Downlink Control Information in the LTE-Advanced / 5G Network LTE-Advanced / 5G网络传输方式及下行控制信息分析

In release 15 of the LTE-Advanced the list of used DCI formats has been significantly expanded. A further 9 formats were added to the existing 27 formats to support new use cases for existing transmission modes and to plan radio resource allocation supported by the new 5G standard with reduced transmission time intervals. To adequately use the new capabilities in the existing communication system it is necessary to perform a complete analysis of the process of selecting the transmission mode and analyzing the main indicators, on the basis of which the base station evaluates the possibility of using a specific transmission mode for the corresponding conditions in the radio channel.

Optical Vector Analyzer Based on Double-Side Modulation With a Suppressed Carrier and Phase-Shift FBG 基于抑制载波和相移光纤光栅的双面调制光矢量分析仪

A new approach to an optical vector analyzer (OVA) realization based on optical double-side modulation (ODSB) with a suppressed carrier and formation of a reference frequency, different from it, in a fiber Bragg grating with a phase shift is considered. ODSB has a higher bandwidth, allows to scan an optical device in wider frequency range on the same element base of lithium niobate, if compared to the optical single-sideband modulation (OSSB). The method is easy to implement and effective in both energy and spectrum use. The proposed OVA realization is distinguished by an extended range and high resolution of measurements, which is shown both theoretically and experimentally. The solutions to take into account the influence of the position of the PS-FBG transparency notch on the measurement accuracy based on the method of its polyharmonic sensing, which can be used for implementation in other OVA based on ODSB were proposed.
