RESUMEN: En el siguiente artículo se analizan las autobiografías confesionales de los siglos XVI y XVII, específicamente las de Alonso de Orozco, Pedro de Ribadeneira y Juan de Palafox y Mendoza. Estos autobiógrafos vinculan sus textos desde el principio con las Confesiones de San Agustín; sin embargo, conforme uno va leyendo las obras, se evidencian las relaciones con la hagiografía medieval y las vidas de santos. En una línea algo diferente que la de las autobiografías conventuales escritas por monjas, estos autobiógrafos poseen una intención de autorreivindicación y de crear una imagen de santidad de sí mismos. Asimismo, esto lleva a discutir el hibridismo entre tradiciones en un subgénero como el de la autobiografía confesional, apenas estudiado por parte de la crítica. ABSTRACT: The following article analyses the confessional autobiographies of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, specifically those of Alonso de Orozco, Pedro de Ribadeneira and Juan de Palafox y Mendoza. These autobiographers link their texts from the beginning to the Confessions of St. Augustine; however, as one reads the works, the relation with medieval hagiography and the lives of saints become evident. In a somewhat different vein than convent autobiographies written by nuns, these autobiographers possess an intention of self-vindication and of creating an image of sanctity for themselves. This also leads to a discussion about the hybridism between traditions in a sub-genre such as the confessional autobiography, which has hardly been studied by the specialists.

RESUMEN: Hernando Colón (1488-1539), hijo del almirante Cristóbal Colón, intentó reunir una biblioteca universal, en la que las obras de Erasmo de Róterdam tenían un lugar privilegiado. Nos proponemos identificar bibliográficamente todas las ediciones y obras de Erasmo reunidas por Hernando Colón en su biblioteca. Para ello, analizamos los ejemplares conservados y, para los no conservados, que son la gran mayoría, los datos recogidos en los repertorios bibliográficos creados por el propio Hernando Colón. También ofrecemos una relación de las obras y temas que aparecen en las ediciones, así como de los precios, lugares de compra y fechas en que fueron adquiridas. RESUMEN: Este artículo tiene como objetivo la edición del manuscrito inédito de la relación del auto de fe celebrado en Granada en 1615, e incluye un texto introductorio que busca contextualizar el auto en el marco de la historia de la Inquisición, especialmente del Tribunal de Granada, y la transcripción del manuscrito. El manuscrito forma parte de un facticio custodiado en la Biblioteca de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Sevilla y responde, en líneas generales, al modelo más generalizado de estas crónicas, que contiene la descripción de la arquitectura efímera levantada, la calidad y los nombres de los participantes en las diferentes procesiones, la lectura de las sentencias y la descripción del último suplicio, en este caso, de una única relajada al brazo secular. RESUMEN: El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar la novela La niña de los embustes, Teresa de Manzanares (1632) de Castillo Solórzano, a partir del asunto de la simulación social: la protagonista manipula su identidad haciéndose pasar por dama principal para progresar económica y socialmente. Su análisis deja vislumbrar, por un lado, como el asunto del honor, a través de las apariencias, fue una constante en la sociedad barroca, muy preocupada por lo externo, y que se refleja muy significativamente en esta narración; y, por otro, atestigua la perpetuidad del debate sobre la ambición social por parte de las capas sociales más desventajadas en una sociedad tan hermética e impermeable como fue la del siglo XVII. ABSTRACT: The aim of this article is to analyze the novel La niña de los embustes, Teresa de Manzanares (1632) by Castillo Solórzano, based on the issue of social climbing, as the protagonist manipulates her identity to pass herself off as an important lady in order to progress, economically and socially. Its analysis allows us to glimpse how the matter of honor, based on appearances, was a constant hallmark of Baroque society, highly preoccupied with the external, which is reflected in a very significant way in this narrative work. In addition, the book points to the ongoing debate on social ambition by the most disadvantaged classes in a society as hermetic and impermeable as that of the 17th century.

RESUMEN: Comentamos particularidades de la edición de la obra lírica de Diego Hurtado de Mendoza por parte de Díaz Hidalgo y Knapp. Ilustramos relaciones intertextuales de su poesía con las Coplas de Jorge Manrique. Anotamos el vocabulario, elocuciones y escenas en relación con el Lazarillo. Concluimos con un acercamiento a sus poemas satíricos y burlescos. ABSTRACT: It is discussed the particularities of the edition of the lyrical work of Diego Hurtado de Mendoza by Díaz Hidalgo and Knapp. It is illustrated the intertextual relations of his poetry with the Coplas of Jorge Manrique. It is written down the vocabulary, elocutions and scenes related to El Lazarillo. It concludes with an approach to his satirical and burlesque poems.
