Freeze-resisting polypropylene is a composition based on polypropylene filled by butyl rubber inclusions. Work presents two-dimensional and three-dimensional models of representative volume consisting of polypropylene matrix with various quantity, size and collocation of butyl rubber inclusions. Effective characteristics of freeze-resisting polypropylene are obtained based on the information about deformation-strength characteristics of polypropylene matrix and butyl rubber inclusions. Comparison of calculated effective deformation-strength characteristics and experimental data for freeze-resisting polypropylene is carried out. Mean value and standard deviation of the effective Young's modulus and yield strength for the freeze-resisting polypropylene with the degree of filling by butyl rubber of 10% are defined. Stress-strain state calculation of a detail made of frost-resisting polypropylene with a steel insert is carried out using ANSYS software. The probability of failurefree operation at temperature from +20 to -60 °C and under additional axial load is estimated.

The rationale of choice of radioactive method for contactless determining the parameters of the mined rock flow is dealt with in the article. The physical processes of the interaction of gamma radiation with a granular material flow are described. The radioisotope measuring system for determining the apparent density and quantity or quality parameters is presented.

The paper considers the dynamic mathematical model of correlated electrical systems (automated electric drives and systems controlling performance data) of the continuous train of the wide-strip hot-rolling mill. The model has a correlated structure containing the models of systems for roll speed, automated strip gauge, tension and loop and electric drive speed mode control. Interrelation of the above facilities has a form of a dynamic model of strip in the inter-stand gap, models of generating torque, pressure and lag at rolling. Adequacy of the model to the issue under consideration was checked by comparing transient process modeling results with experimental ones. The most complex dynamic mode of strip gripping by rolls of three last stand of the continuous train was under investigation. It was established that percent parameter deviations ranged within ±15%; that is tolerable at modeling complex facilities. The developed mathematical model is applied for study of the control systems and algorithms elaborated for the 2,000 and 2,500 mm mills of OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works.

The article analyzes the role of machine tools with computer numerical control (CNC) machinery at present stage. The accuracy of machine tools with program numerical control based on the developed wave inverter of linear displacements has been improved. Paper reviewed the status of the problem of precision machining on CNC machines. It provides an overview of methods for improving the accuracy and considers optoelectronic device developed by the author, which reduces the temperature error of CNC machine tools.

This article describes the method of electroerosion dispersion, and study results for grain-size composition, shape and morphology of titanium particles produced in distilled water. It was established experimentally that the average particle size is 33.12 m, arithmetical value -33.121 μm, specific surface area -10151.91 cm2/sec3, elongation coefficient (extension) of particles with a size of 31.372 μm was 2.59. This article presents the microscopical investigation results for titanium powder samples.

The main function of unmanned micro aerial vehicle (UMAV) is localization. If the robot knows where it is, it will be able to create a correct route and to complete it task. An indoor environment doesn't allow using GPS/GLONASS sensors on robots. Also other sensors like LIDAR and ultrasonic ranges has its own disadvantages. In this paper we suggest to use monocular camera as main sensor. The image from camera is used to extract edges and then to compare them with edges from known 3D model of environment. To estimate a final hypothesis about robot localization we used a particle filter. Finally, we have developed our localization system as ROS based subsystem and used the Gazebo simulator for testing.
