In order to analyze welded fatigue life of welded frame's accessories correctly, this paper adopts fictitious notch method of 1mm radius and establishes a notch stress model for an A1A-A1A-type locomotive bogie's primary vertical damper seat. Through FEM analysis, stress state at local weld toe and weld root for damper seat can be obtained. According to stress range, the danger points of welds can be confirmed. The full vehicle multi-body dynamic model is established for simulation analysis, for the sake of acquiring load-time history of vertical damper seat under track irregularity, which considering nonlinear damping speed character of vertical damper. Based on StressLife_Analysis module of nCode DesignLife, welded accumulative damage and life cycles under different stress parameters and fatigue class curves are calculated. Meanwhile, the corresponding nominal stress model is established to carry out analysis comparison. The result shows that in the same case, accumulative damage value calculated by a notch stress method is lower, life cycles is higher, and the normal stress method generally is partial to be conservative.

The paper presents a method of reducing the matrix that keeps the distance which went ultrasound and an data processing algorithm for the phased array system using MatLab. Cut of the control object for the phased array containing of 16 sensors is presented. Also The paper presents an example of practical realization of the algorithm on an FPGA using the program Quartus II.

The present article expands upon the technological survey of vacuum tower K-3 (crude oil vacuum distillstion unit) undertaken in August, 2013. The survey was integrated into computed models. As per the results recommendations were given in regard to the reconstruction of the vacuum systems (VS) and that of the liquid-ring vacuum pump (LRVP).

The article describes a method of electroerosion dispersion and presents the results of the observed size distribution of aluminium particles in distilled water. The experiments proved that the average size of the particles is 28.5 micrometers, the arithmetic value is 28.503 micrometers, the specific surface area is 16.266.5 cm2/sec3, the elongation factor of 25.489-micrometer-particles is 1.245, which indicates the spherical shape of the powdered aluminium particles.

An approach to improve the quality of the design hydraulic actuator by means of solving this problem as a multiobjective is suggested. A mathematical model of multiobjective optimization design and operating parameters of the hydraulic actuator is considered. All the set of Pareto-optimal alternatives is obtained for decision making in selection of the best variant of hydraulic actuator. The special genetic algorithm for Pareto-set obtaining was developed.

The article presents the results of simulation of the temperatures of hot electrode and controlled sample during measuring the thermoelectric performance of metals and alloys. The temperature dynamics in the contact zone with the planar and point contacts between the hot electrode and the controlled sample is presented in the paper. The influence of the temperature dynamics on thermo electromotive force is shown. Simulation was carried out for two hot electrodes made of copper and aluminum. Controlled sample was made of steel ST3 (analogue of A57036).
