Subang Regency is designated as a pineapple commodity area due to the presence of natural resources, supporting facilities, and infrastructure. Pineapple harvest waste in the form of pineapple leaves is used by a local SME, Alfiber, as textile raw materials, such as yarn and cloth. However, there are still short fibre residues that cannot be utilized in the process. Through training activities for Alfiber members and the people of Cijambe Sub-district, Subang District, West Java, the ITB community service team provided an alternative solution for utilizing the short fibres of pineapple leaves by processing them into paper. This community service activity uses a qualitative approach consisting of four stages: the initial stage, preparation, activities, and results. The initial stage is preliminary research. The preparation stage and activities are participatory and educative and involve the ITB community service team, Alfiber, and the people of the Cijambe Sub-district. The results of the training activities prove that short fibres can be processed into paper using simple equipment and paper-making techniques such as moulding techniques. After participating in the activity, the participants succeeded in following the activity material and could make pineapple fibre paper independently. Even though it requires improvement in terms of quality, the paper can be produced into other products using paper as the primary material.

Tlogowatu Village, Kemalang District, Klaten Regency, is located on the slopes of Merapi Mountain. Currently, sand and stone mining from Merapi Mountain is the primary commodity produced by Tlogowatu Village. If this condition continues, it will cause the damage to the environment. Therefore, several community leaders have cultivated the stingless bee (Trigona laeviceps) as an economic source while adhering to ecological principles through stingless bee farming in community forests. However, community forest and stingless beekeeping need to be appropriately managed, especially in terms of management, production, and marketing aspects. Activities are carried out in several stages, namely starting with pre-activity surveys, counselling and practical development of management, production and marketing aspects, as well as monitoring and evaluation of activities. This activity has increased the knowledge of target partners regarding the livestock of Clanceng in community forests in the form of another type of Clanceng, namely T. biroi, various feed sources, techniques for breaking up split rapid colonies, and good honey packaging. Apart from that, through klanceng livestock in community forests, local communities also gain ecological benefits and build potential for developing agricultural education tourism (edu-agro-tourism) areas.

The high population growth rate in the Cihideung Ilir area is accompanied by a high amount of household waste, known as domestic waste. The existence of domestic waste, if utilized properly, will protect the quality of the environment since it can cause pollution. Therefore, a special effort must be made to utilize this domestic waste to be processed into a product of high economic value. In terms of the conditions, the IPB University Vocational School Lecturer Team was moved to carry out activities with farmers, cadres and residents of Cihideung Ilir Village, Ciampea, Bogor Regency to process domestic waste into Liquid Organic Fertilizer through training on utilization of domestic waste into Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF). This community service activity aims to provide knowledge and skills in utilizing domestic (household) waste. Farmers, cadres and local villagers attended the Training activity. The activity started with the presentation of material about LOF, the benefits of LOF and hands-on practice on how to make the Liquid Organic Fertilizer properly. The training materials were delivered directly, followed by interactive questions and answers, as well as an introduction to the tools and equipment that will be used to make organic liquid fertilizer. All the training participants actively and enthusiastically followed the discussions. The training activity for making liquid organic fertilizer is expected to reduce the amount of organic waste generated and to encourage training participants to utilize organic waste in their homes into an organic liquid fertilizer that can provide economic value. The benefits of POC from an environmental point of view can be used as fertilizer for plants in the yard or on agricultural land. From an economic point of view, it can be sold to increase residents' income.

Clean water is a basic need for society. However, the problem of clean water sources still occurs in the Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) area of South Sumatra Province. The condition of the water being brownish and oily is an unresolved problem. One source that has the potential to disrupt water quality is the presence of factories around rivers. This community service activity aims to identify water quality and provide training to the community regarding river water management strategies and drilled wells as the primary water source for obtaining clean water, as well as increasing understanding and knowledge about clean water management with the Gravity-fed Filter Technique. The method of activities related to clean water quality is carried out in four stages, namely: 1) Location survey (cross-sectional), 2) Water sampling and laboratory analysis, 3) Education on water quality standards, and 4) Training on Gravity-fed Filter Techniques. The laboratory analysis showed that the water samples smelled fishy and were brownish and oily. In addition, the results of microbiological tests on water samples contained Coliform bacteria (sanitation indicator bacteria), which were outside the provisions of Minister of Health Decree No. 907/MENKES/SK/VII/2002 concerning clean water quality requirements. Through training activities using the Gravity-fed Filter technique, the pH and bacteria contained in the water can be reduced. Clean water management strategies using the Gravity-fed Filter technique can be used as a solution to improve clean water quality. Every society can apply the Gravity-fed Filter technique. Through this activity, society has managed water sources into clean water for daily needs.
