The Subur farmer group is located in Sugihwaras Village, Maospati District, Magetan Regency, East Java which develops sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) and teak (Tectona grandis) with a monoculture pattern. Monoculture cultivations produce a single income for farmers, hence other adaptive intolerant commodities and sites that generate alternative income are needed. One of them is Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume). The farmer group’s knowledge and skills related to porang cultivation are very limited. The aims of this activity were: 1) To train farmer groups related to porang cultivation planted with agroforestry patterns; 2) To analyze knowledge changes of farmer groups regarding porang cultivation; and 3) To evaluate the implementation of the training program. The results showed that training on porang cultivation and making agroforestry demonstration plots were able to increase the knowledge of the Subur farmer group. The pre-test score was 65,1 (55%) while the post-test was 88,6 (75%). Based on the evaluation of the assessment of training activities by farmers, as many as 74,3% of farmers stated that they strongly agreed that the porang cultivation training was very useful and suitable for their needs. In addition, the activity feasibility analysis showed that this training is categorized as very feasible to be implemented with a score of 94%. Porang cultivation training for the Subur farmer group was able to increase knowledge and the potential to earn additional income for the people of Sugihwaras Village, Magetan Regency, East Java.

Coffee is a superior commodity owned by Indonesia. One of the coffee producing areas in Central Java is in Pamriyan Village, Pituruh Subdistrict, Purworejo Regency with an area of 1009.75 ha. The high production of coffee produced is also followed by the high waste of coffee produced which is not currently utilized properly. On the other hand, the coffee rind has the potential as a food rich in antioxidants such as polyphenols, anthocyanins, tannins, plavanols, 3-ol flavans, hydroxionic acids, and kafrin. This activity aims to provide an overview of the potential of resources that can be developed in Pamriyan Village and provide insight into the added value of coffee waste as well as entrepreneurial ideas to improve the economy of pamriyan villagers. The activity was carried out with material delivery and direct practice of making Coffee Skin Jam (SEKUPI). In this SEKUPI practice activity, it was obtained that almost all participants liked the taste, texture, and packaging of coffee skin jam and all participants agreed that this product was worth selling and developing. Analysis of the calculation of the cost of production was obtained that each manufacture of 10 bottles of SEKUPI will produce a profit of Rp 66,300,00. Furthermore, the calculation of R/C value is obtained a result of 1.203 which means that the business provides profits and is worth developing. Trainees are very happy with this training activity because it has added to their insights and gained new business opportunity ideas to develop in Pamriyan Village.

Rowokembu Village is one of villages in Wonopringgo Sub-district in Pekalongan Regency, Central Java. It has dense population with limited agricultural land. Vegetable garden and fish farming in bucket are among simpler yet effective strategies for this typical society. This program aimed to empower local community through training on vegetable garden and fish farming in bucket for the members of PKK (Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga) of Rowokembu. Training was given in the form of lecture and workshop. Changes on knowledge and perception was measured through pre-test and post-test. It was observed that the training managed to increase the knowledge, perception, and skills of the participants on developing vegetable garden and fish farming in bucket. The enthusiasm and participation, however, tend to decrease after training period. The fish showed high mortality rate presumably due to poor water condition, hot weather, the absence of aeration system, and improper feeding. The plants in the vegetable garden were attacked by pest. More intensive coaching/guidance was needed to ensure the sustainability of the program.

Pineapple (Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.) is one of the leading agricultural commodities in Babadan Village, Ngancar District, Kediri Regency. The use of pineapples that are not included in the sales grade in terms of size and maturity level encourages people to seek processed products based on pineapple commodities. Business development can be supported by providing financing from a local cooperative, namely Koperta Langgeng Mulyo. Prospective tenants of cooperatives are Family Welfare Development (PKK) members. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that are run include juice, dodol, and pineapple jam. Problems by participants included no financial recording activity and evaluation of the feasibility of business conditions, so financial management training became the solution. The activity was attended by 20 participants with material on socializing the importance of financial and inventory management, business feasibility, and strategies to enter the modern market. The results of the evaluation showed that the average knowledge of the participants increased from 48% (pre-test) to 75% (post-test).

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on society, such as job losses, rising staples, and economic hardship. Prices of food needs that continue to increase and are not affordable have resulted in food problems, one of which is protein. One of the high-quality protein is protein from fish. Fish as a fishery commodity that is relatively easy to cultivate on a large industrial scale and household scale for food self-sufficiency is catfish (Clarias sp). The purpose of this activity is to add insight and knowledge of the community about budikdamber for food self-sufficiency. The method of implementing community service activities in Kampung Six is carried out by counseling and training methods on Budikdamber. In this training activity, a bucket with 40 liters of water and 20 catfish seeds was used. Maintenance was carried out for 60 days with ad satiation feeding three times a day. Observations were made on growth, survival and water quality. The results of the activity found that 93% of the community partners had understood about Budikdamber. Budikdamber maintenance by partner communities gets an absolute weight growth value of catfish of 14 g, catfish survival value of 75%, and 1 bunch of kale per bucket. Based on the results of this activity, it is hoped that there will be the provision of special land for Budikdamber as an example for people who want to develop in their respective yards.

Coffee is one of the leading commodities in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province. The coffee commodity is the backbone of the village community's economy, especially in the highlands of South Sumatra. One of them is Palak Tanah Village, Muara Enim Regency. The coffee commodity has been processed by farmers from generation to generation with an economic chain that still relies on tokeh (local collectors). Selling coffee beans that are still raw and unprocessed has no added value to the community's economic well-being. This condition because the rural community does not undertake product innovation for coffee commodities. Regarding this circumstance, our team tries to serve and empower through Coffee Processed Product Innovation Assistance in Tanah Palak Village, Muara Enim, South Sumatra. The aim of the assistance from the university is to encourage the successful realization of one product innovation per village for the village community. The method used was PLA (Participatory Learning and Action), divided into two stages involvement in initial mapping and mentoring activities to produce village innovation products. This empowerment activity was carried out for 40 days by Sriwijaya University students and lecture. The main products of this assistance were processed village superior coffee. There are dodol (taffy made) and kemplang (crisp) coffee. The empowerment was done by a team in Palak Tanah Village for 40 days and evaluating whether the village community was able to understand and apply innovations for processed coffee products. The key to the success of this empowerment program is repackaging, branding, and online marketing. In the last week's evaluation, the companion team made sure that the village community was able to market their own products through the online shop.
有dodol(太妃糖咖啡)和kemplang(脆咖啡)。
