Only limited research has examined the role of religion in a tourism context. This study examines the travel satisfaction among Muslim tourists in Malaysia. This paper poses the question: What is the relationship between the Muslim Tourist satisfaction Islamic attributes and revisit intention in Malaysia? A total of 255 questionnaires consisting of 30 items was distributed to Muslim tourists in Malaysia through an online survey. Thus, destination marketers should deliver traditional value to create high customer satisfaction with halal destinations. Marketers should also consider non-physical Islamic attributes such as segregation of service delivery when they target consumers with high religiosity to attract more Muslim tourists.

Public healthcare and government health initiative have always been in question regarding their availability, efficiency, and quality. This matter most for the poor section of society who have to go through various hurdles to avail the basic treatment, besides financial problems. The aim of this survey study was to analyze the present scenario of public healthcare system and the challenges in availing public healthcare faced by BPL (Below Poverty Line) and low-income population of Uttar Pradesh. A cross-sectional survey (direct interview) of 104 respondents was conducted in March 2021. Thematic analysis of generated qualitative data was done using ATLAS.ti (version 9.0.15). The quantitative data was analyzed by using SPSS (version 22.0.0.0). The respondents were from 2 rural areas near the Aligarh district in UP. The secondary data from published research articles and government sources were also analyzed. Analysis of data revealed there are various challenges faced by low-income population while availing public healthcare services. The nature of challenges has a considerable variation, from lack of information to documents’ unavailability, from technical issues in government schemes to cultural pressure. Data analysis revealed, the majority of respondents (59%) faced one or more types of challenges during treatment from public health facilities. Awareness level is identified as a significant problem among respondents. Analysis of secondary data and literature review revealed uneven resource allocation and discrepancies in government initiatives toward UHC (Universal Health Coverage). Results indicated the contrasting nature of healthcare in Uttar Pradesh. Data analysis revealed the disparity of ‘average OOP travelling expenditure’ for male and female. The correlation analysis revealed that there is negative correlation (y = -0.1377x + 11.119) of ‘age of respondent’ and ‘average satisfaction from public health service’ (r = -0.911; R² = 0.8301). This research article provides the evidence that there exists a communication gap between policymakers and end-users (BPL & low-income section). This article underscored some technical flaw in the UHC policies that act as a barrier for low socio economic and BPL population. This article suggests strategies to control various identified challenges.

The pattern of ethnic relations and religion among university students is always the focus of understanding Malaysian unity and ethnic relation. This study explores the study of unity by recalling the concept of solidarity put forward by Durkheim. Unity as the main concept needs to be reinterpreted by studying the social realities and social history in Malaysia. Unity happens in the long life of harmony since the 1969 ethnic riots until now, but Malaysia still faces social tensions and fights between ethnic and religious in society. Unity is still considered fragile and just a dream. The concept of social cohesion is expressed as a social phenomenon that needs to be studied as the atmosphere is harmonious but colored with social tension. The multi-culture of Malaysian come from its relationship with east civilization before pre-colonial and the British colonization. The differences between ethnicity and religion in social order cause tension and conflict among the groups. Yet development in the last four decades has changed the social landscape where multi-ethnic societies have turned into a socially diverse society. University students are targeted as respondents in understanding the concepts and patterns of social cohesion among them. Studies show that social cohesion among students is developed. The dimension and item analysis show that there are ethnic and religious differences, but the differences are relatively small. It is suggested that follow-up studies in identifying the form and understanding of the relationship of social cohesion on campus should be conducted through qualitative and ethnographic research design in obtaining data to strengthen ethnic relations in the university. Input from this follow-up study finding will strengthen social cohesion among students that can help governance and university development is well managed by identifying the social gap.

Cowpea is an important grain legume widely used as food in Ghana and the world at large. It is a significant protein source used by many people in several countries. However, its postharvest management, especially storage, can be problematic because it is easily attached by storage pest insects, particularly Callosobruchus maculatus. Cowpea storage is crucial as the product is protected against damage and deterioration. Also, it is preserved until such a time that market prices are reasonable before they are marketed, enhancing food security. Cowpea grains that are predisposed to insects often attack significantly reduce the quantity and quality, which renders the product unwholesome for human consumption. A survey will be conducted in Daffiama Bussie Issa District in the Upper West Region of Ghana to identify storage structures and storage protectants used by stakeholders to store cowpea. The cowpea variety to be used for the experiment is called ‘songotra’ and is considered the people’s choice. At the end of the storage period, the physical and chemical properties of the cowpea grains were assessed to confirm whether there is a significant effect on them. Test on the viability of seeds will be conducted. The findings will show which storage structure and protectants proved to be more effective by killing the cowpea weevil and unearth the treatment that will offer the highest and lowest protection. Pairwise Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS) Version 9.0 was used to analyse the survey data. It is recommended that further research is conducted on the quantity of cowpea used for storage with an extended storage period.

The study aims to investigate the role of livelihood diversification and social capital for the households’ movement, and also to explore the identity and bond of social capital and livelihood diversification to achieve an improved lifestyle. Human relations significantly create a network society, impalpable resource of community, shared values and trust which we draw upon in our daily lives. Livelihood diversification is a community-practised strategy for managing economic and income diversity in poverty reduction. It has highly emphasized income and well-being to diversify livelihood. It also turns the likely norms and networks with the households from exploiting new economic opportunities even in the future. This study responds to why people are migrating from the surrounding and the long distance of Kathmandu, and largely dependent on direct cash incomes from informal activities. It used qualitative approaches such as ethnography, case studies, participant observation, etc. to study the relationship between households and social capital level and livelihood diversification. Hence, the effects of social capital and livelihood diversification were found protecting households’ income. The major findings also show the social supportive network index which has significant effects on the households’ ability to learn a new livelihood. Income generations similarly affect the household capacity to secure a home and the socio-economic condition of households. This study can be advantageous for making both local and urban policy to diversify household livelihoods and social capital as well as applicable for new researchers in social sciences. Most importantly, it helps readers perceive new ways of promoting livelihood diversification and social capital and as a whole social advancement in Central Nepal.

This study aims to demonstrate the role of foreign direct investment in achieving sustainable development in Iraq. The Iraqi Investment Law No. (13) for the year 2006 and the amendments attached to it for the years 2009 and 2015 serve as a legal cover to grant many privileges and tax exemptions to foreign investors in order to attract more of them into the country. As Iraq is a developing country, it is in dire need of foreign direct investment to advance its economic and service reality by financing development programs and plans. The need for direct foreign investments to be directed towards the productive sectors.
