The purpose of the study is to examine the mediating role of crisis management between knowledge management and employee commitment. Committed employees are needed to keep the workforce motivated and knowledge is required to keep them committed, however, crisis issues develop loyalty among the employees, and this can only be achieved if the employees effectively manage knowledge. For the purpose of achieving the objectives of the study, primary study has been conducted. A sample of 384 employees was used to run structural equation modeling. The findings revealed that knowledge management has a significant impact over employee commitment, likewise, crisis management significantly mediates the positive relationship between knowledge management and employee commitment. The study used the underpinning support of knowledge-based view, and it is an attempt to enrich the theory by adding crisis management in the theory as a mediator.

Freedom of speech is one of the most important fundamental rights ensured by the constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. However, when this right is abused, it destroys the peace and harmony of the country. But without any surveillance, digital platforms can turn into places of controversy which may trigger mass people into communal violence and riots. Thus, the government of Bangladesh has introduced Digital Security Act 2018 to secure the responsible use of the Internet and digital platforms. In this study, the researchers attempted to take a look at the perception of Bangladeshi youth on the Digital Security Act 2018. This study followed survey and in-depth interview methods to gather data. Researchers found out that most young people feel the digital security act is working against freedom of expression on social media. They demand viable changes to this act and agreed to the notion that responsible digital citizenship can ensure freedom of expression on social media.

This study looks at how Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have impacted the business interests of Bangladeshi college-aged women. The research methodology incorporates the technology acceptance paradigm and a model of technology adoption and usage. The survey was developed, checked for accuracy, and released to the public. According to the results, students' usage of social networking sites affects their confidence in their capacity to succeed and their desire to do so. These results have real-world and theoretical ramifications for policymakers and entrepreneurial education, such as using widely used yet cutting-edge communication and Internet tools to inspire young people to start their own businesses. In this analysis, we test the hypothesis that there is a connection between the time spent on social networking sites (SNS) and measures of confidence in, and desire for, starting one's own business. Over two hundred and fifty female students from Private Universities in Bangladesh participated in online questionnaires and correlation tests. More time spent on social networking sites is correlated with more serious business thinking and behavior. Students of all sexes and all ages use Facebook, but younger students and women in particular associate the platform with entrepreneurial aspirations and attitudes more strongly than their male counterparts. There is a greater understanding of the relationship between social media presence and entrepreneurship factors because to this research. The researchers sorted the interviewees' responses into four groups based on their findings: how often they used SNS, how much they felt supported by SNS, how secure they felt in their entrepreneurial conduct, and how ambitious they wanted to be as business owners’ Important motifs were also determined for each class. Institutions of higher learning may and should use social media to promote and educate aspiring business owners.

The existentialist philosopher, Simone De Beauvoir, in her prominent book, The Second Sex, states that “one is not born, but rather becomes a woman.” (Beauvoir, 2011). This statement is built upon the idea that woman; or rather sexuality/gender performance is a social product resulting from society and physiological training. The term ‘woman’ is the aforementioned phrase alludes to the romanticized version of woman as perceived by the society. So, rather than being inherent, womanhood is something that a woman strives to achieve in order to become ideal. In the light of such statement, this paper aims to dismantle the notion that sexuality is a natural phenomenon by exploring Zeenuth Futehally’s Zohra, a novel set during the pre-partition period, and involving characters from aristocracy class, and also to represent how gender ideology prevalent in West affected the gender ideology in India.

This research study looks at students’ communication apprehension (CA) in online and offline classes. We wanted to comprehend whether their concern has changed about CA during online classes or not. In this quantitative research, we completed two surveys that asked them demographic questions. Four hundred and ninety-nine (499) students of public universities took part in online classes in August 2021 by completing the Personal Report of Communication Apprehension (PRCA-24). Another survey was conducted on 438 students during the offline classes in February 2022. We then analyzed the data in SPSS. The PRCA-24 scores of students in both studies determine that most of the students have high communication apprehension. They suffer from general anxiety, do not want to involve in any discussion during class, and have less self-esteem. It has been found that students' fears of communication in academic settings negatively affect their learning and performance. This study can be useful in communication disorder discipline to find out where is the actual problem to communicate. This study will pave the way for further research on what steps can be taken to overcome the problem of fear in communication or whether any changes in teaching methods can be made.

The media, which is a potent social system, has a significant impact on how people see reality. The idea that, in a broader cultural sense, the media mostly supported those values and standards that had already attained a broad consensus base, proved to be significant. People in Bangladesh's southwest use a variety of media to gather information. The objective of the study is to find out the pattern of media user in the southwestern part of Bangladesh. Uses and Gratification theory is used here, and a quantitative survey research design were used for this research. The study area includes the four districts of Bangladesh- Khulna, Jashore, Satkhira, and Bagerhat. Purposive and snowball sampling is used for this study. A standardized questionnaire was used to collect the data. Then the collected data are entered into the descriptive statistics module of SPSS using tools like tables, frequency counts, and simple. People in Bangladesh's southern region continue to consider that traditional media, such as television and newspapers, are more trustworthy information sources than social media or online portal. Due to their ample free time, the majority of adults consume media in the evening. Although it appears on the surface that the majority of people in Bangladesh's southern region utilize media for enjoyment, the reality is quite different. Major respondents concur that they are impacted by media. They think that biased information has been provided by the media. Also, according to the data, majority believes that local media coverage is insufficient.

As human interact with each other there is propensity of stepping on the toes of one another, when this happens it is incumbent on the parties involved to try as much as possible to sort out their differences. One of the most effective ways of breaking this barrier is apologizing. The person apologizing creates the impression that he is remorseful for the harm caused. The purpose of the study is to examine the realization of apology speech act, which inclines to be more situation-dependent and less frequently occurring than other speech acts. It also examines how the patterns of apology strategies are varied in relation to contextual factors (social status, social distance, and severity of offence) as used by the Akan (Twi) speakers. Discourse completion Task (DCT) in a form of interview and role play was chosen for the current study. The researcher created scenes for the DCT that required apologies based on situations occurring in real life. The researcher explained the DCT thoroughly to the participants and told them to put themselves in the situation and render an apology. It was revealed that some people also combine different strategies when apologizing.

One of the most effective ways of breaking this barrier is apologizing. The person apologizing creates the impression that he is remorseful for the harm caused. The purpose of the study is to examine the realization of apology speech act, which inclines to be more situation-dependent and less frequently occurring than other speech acts. It also examines how the patterns of apology strategies are varied in relation to contextual factors (social status, social distance, and severity of offence) as used by the Akan (Twi) speakers. Discourse completion Task (DCT) in a form of interview and role play was chosen for the current study. The researcher created scenes for the DCT that required apologies based on situations occurring in real life. The researcher explained the DCT thoroughly to the participants and told them to put themselves in the situation and render an apology. The findings revealed that some Akan (Twi) speakers acknowledge responsibility, some tried to justify their actions whilst others shift the blame on others. It was revealed that some people also combine different strategies when apologizing.","PeriodicalId":426776,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123566446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
