In this era, there are varieties of approaches to teaching English as Second Language (ESL) learners, and there have been many types of research done to test the effectiveness of these approaches. This research aimed to examine the students’ perspectives on cooperative learning in the ESL classroom. Cooperative learning refers to various instructional practices that encourage students to work together as they apply course material to answer questions, solve problems, or create a project. Therefore, cooperative learning is different from the traditional learning approach because it expands the second language acquisition by providing room for both language input and output. This study employed the quantitative approach where 107 Diploma students from Sultan Idris Education University who underwent a compulsory English course were requested to participate in a survey after completing the activities, which incorporated cooperative learning. The questionnaire was adapted from previous research to ensure reliability in collecting data. Then, the data were tabulated using SPSS software. It focused on the students’ perspectives on learning experience, comprehension, and interaction. The findings revealed that most students had a positive perspective toward cooperative learning in the ESL classroom.

When gauging the effectiveness of children’s learning, the importance of quality of teaching cannot be emphasized enough. Studies have shown that the single most significant factor in determining the quality of education that a child receives lies in the quality of its teachers. This study seeks to examine the relationship between teaching quality vis-a-vis preschool teachers’ professional development or training, qualifications and teaching experience in the Malaysia context. A review of the quality of teaching of 477 Malaysian preschool teachers was conducted. The respondents participated in answering self-assessment questionnaires. Results of the study sample pointed towards a non-significant relationship perceived between the quality of teacher teaching and the three democratic variables i.e., experience, training and qualifications. It also brought into sharp relief the lack of perceptible difference between quality of teacher teaching and teachers’ academic qualifications, training and professional development. Interestingly, attributes of seniority and duration of teaching experience did not positively translate to good teaching quality. The implications of the study are that monitoring or evaluation of teachers by either the parties involved or external evaluation from other institutions should be seen as an on-going initiative, in addition to continuous teacher training programmes designed to enhance the development of teacher professionalism. Such proactive efforts will go a long way in facilitating the quality of teacher teaching and invariably the effectiveness of children's learning.

University colleges in Malaysia have to look for new ways to conduct their businesses to be competitive because of high competition from local and international higher education institutions, ever-changing business environments, shifting preferences in the education market, government requirements, and advancements in global technology. The search for and implementation of new methods, on the other hand, imposed a strain on the workforce. This tension may create stress, affect job satisfaction and citizenship behavior. Hence, a research was carried out to see if stress, satisfaction, and organizational citizenship behavior are linked. The study selected one of the college universities in Malaysia, UCA, and obtained 226 data from both academic and administrative workers. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression techniques. Results showed that work stress influenced job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction also affected organizational citizenship behavior. The study is critical because it could assist management in developing intervention programs that will result in not just stronger human capital but also a good attitude towards UCA.

Literatures on food safety have widely accepted that one of the reasons leading to food poisoning cases is the mishandling of foods to proper storage and temperature. The said problems require appropriate kitchen equipment to ensure the abuse is kept at bay. In order to probe into the food handlers’ intention to use the equipment, this paper proposes an adapted Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to answer this query. The related constructs for independent variables include perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and willingness to invest. Questionnaires will be distributed among school canteen food handlers using established TAM items that will be modified to suit the setting of the study. The results of this study will indicate the intention to adopt the kitchen equipment among school canteen food handlers.

This paper provides information on the approaches and strategies used by the rescuers in the teaching process in conducting emergency preparedness. It will enhance teacher skills in teaching the preparations that a rescuer must consider if one ventures into this profession. This paper utilized a qualitative research design, specifically the phenomenological research. The study used an interview guide to extract vital information through its seven (7) co-participants. The co-participants had been responders for more than three (3) years. Based on the interview, the researchers gained insights based on the statements and narratives of its co-participants. It opened the minds of the researchers to the basic preparations that must be considered. The researchers formulated three (3) major themes: 1. My preparation as an emergency responder; 2. Strategic ways in teaching emergency preparedness, and 3. Best ways to adhere to the curriculum. Each major theme is composed of two (2) subthemes. The researchers formulated the Emergency Aid Framework's proposed framework with these three major themes and subthemes. This framework will help build resiliency among future Bachelor of Physical Education teachers in teaching emergency preparedness.

Private vehicle ownership in University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) has increased year after year, resulting in severe traffic congestion, particularly during peak hours. In this research, it is hypothesised that the mode of transportation chosen by UMS students may be determined by the affordability of the bike sharing system's rental fee. This research has been carried out to model on Faculty of Science and Natural Resources student’s readiness to implement bike sharing system at University Malaysia Sabah. The key objective of this research is to develop transport model of the user’s readiness to shift from the private vehicle to bike sharing system in terms of rental charging factor (per use and per hour) in Ringgit Malaysia (RM). In the conclusion of the study, a transportation model on rental charges will be established, and it is anticipated that once rental pricing is introduced, the percentage of private vehicles that are converted to bike sharing will increase. Transferring private car users to a bike sharing scheme has the potential to lower the number of private automobiles in the UMS and so assist alleviate traffic congestion. Hypothetically, this concept is seen necessary for mitigating the negative influence of private vehicles in UMS. The Stated Preference Survey was employed in this study. Questionnaires were prepared and delivered online to 160 responders. Following that, the data is analysed using linear regression to create a logistic model. The model predicts that the number of individuals ready to use bike sharing system increase linearly when the rental charging fee decreases. Therefore, as the rental charging fee reduce, more people will shift to bike sharing system.
