Background and purpose In the process of preparing the team for university competitions, it is quite difficult for the coach of the national futsal team to clearly regulate the training load, because the players of the national team have different ages, training and individual characteristics. Purpose: to identify the factors of sports training that affect the complex preparedness of futsal players of a student team. Material and methods 21 students of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University aged 19-20 (boys) in Chernivtsi. The experiment was conducted in September 2022. Futsal players completed physical development testing, physical and technical fitness (running 30 m; shuttle run 3х10 m; long jump from a place; high jump from a place; driving the ball in a straight line; driving the ball "snake"; passing the ball to a given distance; shots on goal from a run; kicking the ball with the leading foot; kicking the ball with the non-leading foot; stance with the ball on the kicking leg; stance with the ball on the non-kicking leg) and psychophysiological state. To determine the peculiarities of futsal players' preparedness the factor analysis was used. Results The presence of five factors in the structure of futsal players' preparedness is determined: "Explosive force", "Technical possibilities", "Special endurance", "Coordination possibilities", "Speed of reaction" are revealed. It is established that for the development of explosive power, special endurance in futsal players need to conduct specialized trainings, which include running exercises, intensive interval training, game, as well as exercises for the development of power muscles of the legs, coordination of movements and reaction speed. Conclusions The obtained results helped to give concrete recommendations concerning the use of the most effective means and methods from different types of preparation which can successfully solve the certain tasks and at the same time are accessible for application by futsal players of the student team.

Background and purpose Improving the technical training of athletes in shot put at the stage of specialized basic training using the targeted development of coordination abilities is an urgent task of modern scientific research. The purpose of the study: to develop a methodology for the development of coordination abilities to increase the technical readiness of athletes in bullet shooting at the stage of basic training. Material and methods 45 athletes in shot put shooting at the stage of specialized basic training of the sports school "Comunar" in Kharkov were involved in the study, of which 21 athletes made up the control group, 24 - the experimental group. To check the effectiveness of the author's program, a pedagogical experiment was conducted, which had two repeated preparatory periods of training macrocycles during August 2022 - June 2023. The following tests were used as testing: 1 – the sum of points in the exercise "shooting while sitting on a chair"; 2 - the sum of points in the exercise "shooting while standing on the platform"; 3 – the sum of points in the "shooting with closed eyes" exercise. The following exercises were used to develop the shooters' coordination abilities: clenching the left hand into a fist, touching the little finger of the left hand with the extended fingers of the right hand, simultaneously changing the positions of the hands; clap your hands in front and behind with each step; in walking, symmetrical hand movements for each step: sideways, up, down, forward, backward; balancing a gymnastic stick on the palm, raising and lowering the hand; catching a gymnastic stick after it rolls down the hands with and. p. horizontally on the shoulders and others. Special exercises were also used to develop shooters' coordination abilities, such as shooting from different distances, with different target distances, with eyes closed, after performing non-specific movements (jumping, rolling, squatting, etc.). When processing the data obtained during the research, the methods of mathematical statistics were used. Standard statistical indicators were calculated - arithmetic mean, mean square deviation, error of the mean. Group mean values were compared using Student's t-test for paired and unpaired samples. Results The developed program of technical training with an emphasis on the development of coordination abilities provides for an increase in the share of the volume of training loads aimed at improving the coordination abilities of qualified athletes in bullet shooting in general and special physical training, an increase in the share of training tools for the comprehensive development of various physical qualities in combined with coordination abilities, a reduction in the share of training tools for the development of maximum strength and speed-power endurance. Purpose In this paper, we highlight the interactions of dynamic postural stability (DPS) and running agility of ice hockey players in Slovakia. Material and methods Postural stability was assessed using the Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT) and agility by the 6x9m running test. We expected significant interactions between agility test performance and DPS for both legs in all directions tested. The level of DPS was characterized by descriptive statistics. Laterality between right and left standing leg was assessed by Student's t-test. The relationships between DPS and agility were investigated by Pearson correlation coefficient "r". Statistical significance of differences and relationships was assessed at the 5% significance level. Results The results of the correlation analysis pointed to interactions of movement performance in the agility of hockey players with DPS predominantly with all tested directions (p<0.05). Non-significant interactions (p>0.05) were demonstrated only with the Anteriomedial direction in the right standing leg and in the Anterior position for the left standing leg. Differences in laterality between the right and left standing leg were found only in the Anteriomedial and PosteroMedial directions (p<0.05). Stepwise regression showed the highest tightness of agility on the left leg in the Medial direction (average values r = 0.665, Beta*r = 44.23%) and Posterolateral direction (maximum values r = 0.665, Beta*r = 44.23%). On the right leg, in the Posteromedial direction (average values r = 0.658, Beta*r = 44.01%) and the Posterior direction (maximum values r = 0.663, Beta*r = 43.90%). Conclusions The positive interactions of agility and DPS in hockey players highlight the importance of a balanced and stable stance of both feet in all directions. Perfect balance and stability of hockey players eliminates fluctuations created by running or skating movement in all directions and facilitates their execution without major changes in dynamic performance. It also significantly increases the chances of reducing the activation time of the muscle chains involved in the test execution technique, or in the structure of hockey players' skating technique itself.

Background The lack of physical activity is a global public health problem. Physical inactivity is the principal risk for obesity and other serious life-threatening diseases. This study is specialized in discovering the use of smartphones in physical activities of females from Slovak Republic and Czech Republic. Purpose The study's objective was to compare how adolescent girls in Slovakia and the Czech Republic used their smartphones for physical activity. Methods The observing group consisted of 1515 females who used smartphones and studied in 3rd and 4th year of high schools, conservatoires and grammar schools in Slovak Republic and Czech Republic. The main method of this work was a survey that consisted of 13 questions. The survey which we distributed to Slovak schools from December 2020 to August 2021 was paper based. The survey distributed to Czech schools was an online survey through google forms. The paper-based survey distributed to Slovak schools was evaluated through TAP3 software by a company based in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. The online survey distributed to Czech schools was evaluated through MS Excel. We analysed the results with the chi-square test at the level of p < 0.01, p < 0.05. For some of our needs we used arithmetic mean. Results We discovered that 49.33% of females from Czech Republic spend 1-3 hours daily on their smartphones. Simultaneously, we discovered, that females from Czech Republic (27.19%) and from Slovak Republic (27.78%) do 3 to 5 hours a day of activities connected with smartphones. Most of these females considered this time as adequate. The majority of activities in which they participated by using their smartphones were social media, chat, or e-mail (65.11%). The negative discovery was that not even 3% of females used their smartphones in connection with physical activities. We found that 69.09% of females from Czech Republic and 67.96% females from Slovak Republic monitor the number of steps or distances walked/ran on their smartphones. We recorded a statistically significant difference at the level of significance p < 0.01 in questions no. 3, 4, 5, 8 and at the significance level p < 0.05 in questions no. 1, 6. Discussion & Conclusion From the point of view of what time they spend with activities related to smartphones, we discovered that most of the females were using their smartphones 1-3 hours daily, with some indicating 3-5 hours of daily activities. A total of 62.06% of females considered time spent with activities on smartphone to be adequate to this era. 22.3% of females realized that presented time of hours spent on smartphone is high. Even though there are a lot of applications that can be helpful in doing physical activity, only a small percentage of our participants used them. Given that some applications work on a group system in which individuals can be added to groups in that application and the participants can motivate each other with their shared goals and results, encouragement should be

Background and purpose Many studies show the positive impact of playing chess on the cognitive abilities, motor skills and psychophysiological characteristics of people. On the other hand, physical exercises are of great importance for the progress of kids’ cognitive features. In view of this, our study was aimed at determining the effect of physical exercises on cognitive abilities and psychophysiological functions of young chess players. Material and methods 20 students (7-8 years old) of two different Ukrainian chess schools took part in the study. All of them attended chess lessons, but those from the experimental group (group E, 10 children) also did a set of general and special physical exercises during chess lectures, as compared to the kids from the control group (group K, 10 children). To monitor work efficiency and the speed of switching attention, an online platform, containing Schulte test and a test for determining the reaction time of choosing a point in space ("Ermakov test"), respectively, was employed. Results of the tests were compared using the independent-samples T-test. Results Statistically significant improvements in the values of the work efficiency and the average working time on the third Schulte table were revealed in the groups K and E after two months. The increase in the speed of switching attention was also statistically significant in both groups, however, in the group K this was observed only for the result of the first attempt of "Ermakov test", while in the group E - to the results of the first, the third attempts and average of three attempts. Overall, our data revealed an increase in the cognitive abilities of younger schoolchildren, who did physical exercises during chess classes, compared to those chess school students, who only solved chess problems, played chess and listened to chess lectures. Surprisingly, there was no statistically significant increase in the results of "Ermakov test" in group E compared to group K after two months. Conclusions The novelty of the results is as follows: i) work efficiency (according to the Schulte test) in the experimental group showed a statistically significant improvement, indicating the important role of physical exercises for the cognitive development of young chess players; ii) in turn, the increase in speed of switching attention (by "Ermakov test") of the children seemed to be independent on the physical training in the short-term period; iii) both the metacognitive approach for teaching chess, as well as regular physical training during chess lessons should result in the cognitive, psychophysiological development and, as consequence, in the improvement in chess performance of the young athletes.

Background and purpose Modern trends in artistic gymnastics aim not only to develop the gymnast's ability to perform complex technical elements with their body and apparatus but also to convey the composition's idea and create a unique persona. Exploring the possibility of integrating dance training methods into gymnasts' educational and training process is necessary to nurture artistic mastery. The objective is to determine the effectiveness of incorporating dance training methods in fostering the artistry of gymnasts in the basic training group. Material and methods The research was conducted at the Solonitsivska Children's and Youth Sports School "Kolos". The experiment involved 20 athletes from the artistic gymnastics department's basic training group. To obtain high-quality results, the gymnasts were divided into two levels (control (n = 10) and experimental (n = 10)) based on competition outcomes. To achieve the goal and address the tasks set, we employed and applied the following research methods: analysis of scientific-methodical and specialized literature, pedagogical observation, pedagogical testing, pedagogical experiment, and methods of mathematical data processing. Results In recent years, rhythmic gymnastics has undergone significant rule changes in competitions, leading to increased demands in assessing artistry, compositional originality, and performance mastery. Alongside the high-level technical skills of gymnasts, artistry is a crucial aspect that has made rhythmic gymnastics popular worldwide. Incorporating various types of dance training into the educational and training process, including choreographic training, contemporary choreography techniques, music and rhythm exercises, musical games, historical and ballroom dance exercises, free-form exercises, improvisation, and pantomime, allows for the elevation of artistic expression in competitive routines. In the experimental group, following the research, a significant improvement was observed in rhythm perception (p<0.05), the quality of plastic movements ("waves") (p<0.01), and performance evaluation of dance combinations (p<0.05). This improvement in performance assessment translated to a significant reduction in deductions for artistic errors and a corresponding increase in scores (p<0.05) during competitions. Conclusions The use of dance training tools, which include classical choreography exercises, folk choreography exercises, artistic and stage skill tools, and modern types of choreography, contributes to the development of artistic abilities and artistic expressiveness of gymnasts in basic training groups. A particularly positive effect was noted when performing dance combinations (р<0.05), reproducing an image, motor-plastic expressiveness (р<0.01), developing a sense of rhythm (р<0.05), and improving the quality of competitive activity (р < 0.05).
