Comparison between force sensors to surface EMG electrodes used in hand prosthetics 力传感器与表面肌电电极在手部假肢中的比较

Design of modern prosthetic hand that have multiple degrees of freedom and able to move multiple fingers and wrist simulataneously, it has been important to use different sensor structures having advantegous in both size and energy usage. In this study, it is investigated whether piezoelectricity-based force sensors can be used instead of EMG sensors in prosthetic hand design or not. As a result of experimental studies, it is shown that using piezoelectricity-based force sensors is more affordable instead of using EMG sensors.

Modelling of SAR distribution and temperature increase in muscle tissue of electromagnetic field exposure 电磁场暴露下肌肉组织SAR分布及温度升高的模拟

In this study, the effects of medical physiotherapy devices, cellular phones and wireless communication devices on human muscle tissue was examined in different studying frequency. Different muscle models were formed using HFSS program by taking into consideration electrical properties of the muscle tissue for different operating frequencies. Specific absorption rate values were computed on these models. Also the temperature rise amount and Spesific absorbation rate in the tissue from caused by exposure to electromagnetic fields were determined mathematically.

Representative wavelength determination/investigation in the near infrared region for optical measuring of the human blood glucose 人体血糖光学测量近红外区代表性波长测定/研究

In this study, the phantom mediums which has different optical characteristic were made for detecting of glucose level, then the transmittance based measurements were done. It was studied between 900–2500 nm wavelength which includes higher absorption bands of glucose. An index parameter was improved and used a windowing based method for determining the glucose amount. The correlation was searched between the acquired index parameter and glucose concentrations, and a sensitive wavelength was found for glucose estimation. From the results, 1322–1338 nm were found meaningful for this purpose. In addition, 2144–2165 nm are also found alternative or supplemental wavelengths.

Determinig of autoregressive parameters from electrogastrogram signals using Cramer-Rao Lower Bound 利用Cramer-Rao下界确定胃电信号的自回归参数

Gastroparesis is a kind of stomach disease that is identified with delay of gastric emptying of solid food without mechanical obstruction. The disease is diagnosed by invasive techniques. Scintigraphy imaging technique is accepted as the gold standard in diagnosis although having many disadvantages. In this study. non invasive EGG signals were obtained from gastroparesis patients and healthy volunteers. Power Spectral Density (PSD) graphs were obtained for purpose of determining feature in frequency axis for diagnosis. PSD method for which parametric method that is used to the signals, was determined using Cramer-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB) method.

New concept design of an insulin pen for visually impaired or blind diabetius mellitus patients 为视障或失明糖尿病患者设计的胰岛素笔新概念设计

Today, diabetes mellitus (diabetes) emerges as an increasingly important health problem because of the problems and frequency that it cause all over the world. Especially type 2 diabetes mellitus is increasing rapidly in all of the developed and developing society with the rapid changes in lifestyle. As of the year 2013, the number of the diabetes patients are 382 million. And this number is expected to reach 592 million increased by %55 in 2035. The main reason of this population growth due to the obesity and physical inactivity is increasing beacuse of urbanization and aging. In our country, according to result of the studies of Turkey diabetes apidemiology (TURDEP-I), type 2 diabetes mellitus %7.2 frequency of impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) %6.7 was found. In the studies of TURDEP-II that is published recently has been seen significantly increase of 2 type diabetes mellitus at age of 20 and over. Uncontrolled diabetes leading to hypoglycemia causes development of complications that affect all systems of the body. (cardiovascular system-eyes-kidney-nervous system) The risk of lower extremity amputation in diabetes patients is 25 times higher than without diabetes. Especaially in developed countries, the most common cause is visual loss and blindness. Under the light of these information, the form of insulin pen was designed that can be used more comfortable for visually handicapped people and blinds.

Disinfection in hemodialysis systems 血液透析系统的消毒

Hemodialysis machines are the devices with risk of infection. Disinfection and sterilization are the main parts of the injection control in the hemodialysis units. The objective of the disinfection of the hemodialysis system is to kill all microorganisms or to decrease the number of them. All disinfection process performed in the hemodialysis units are traced by the Health Ministry. So that, it is planned to determine the conformities and to take the required preventions without harming to the patient. During hemodialysis system disinfection, not only hemodialysis machine but also water treatment system and distribution system should be disinfected. Because they require a comprehensive study, the responsibility has been given to the biomedical staff rather than the user. Therefore, it is prerequisite that a biomedical staff must know the disinfection of the hemodialysis system. In this study, the information about the disinfection of the hemodialysis systems and the related instructions are given. And, the disinfection tracking system created by the Biomedical Departmant of Istanbul University Hospitals is presented.

Chicken embryo's heart rate measurements by laser imaging 激光成像测量鸡胚心率

The heart-rate may be important from point of view of development of whole organism and its metabolism, of circulation. Monitoring the vital signs, such as heart-rate and blood flow, of a developing chicken embryo is very useful at incubation stages for breeding programs. Especially for artificial incubation conditions, confirmation of fertilization and survival of eggs at early stage, are of practical importance. In this paper, an optical method based on laser speckle contrast analysis has been developed to monitor heart-rate values of chicken embryos at early incubation stage. With advantage of simplicity and efficiency of this method, it can be a proper and different from that of literature, for routine embryonic assessment. We can determine heart-rate value using speckle-contrast data from image sequence and Welch Spectral Analysis. It is shown that the proposed system can be used for heart-rate based monitoring of the embryonic development of fertilized chicken and other avian types.

Computer aided diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis using infrared thermal imaging 红外热成像技术在深静脉血栓诊断中的应用

Diagnosis of Deep Vein Thrombosis, especially where emergency services, such as lack of time and the critical condition of the patient is of vital importance. Delay in diagnosis affect treatment negatively besides the long wait times and increasing costs. Today, the cost of thermal cameras with rapidly evolving technology is decreasing day by day. In studies, it appears that many diseases are associated with temperature. As a result, the infrared images are thought to be a tool in the diagnosis of various diseases. In this study, infrared thermal imaging have been shown to be useful as a screening test for the diagnosis of Deep Vein Thrombosis with the developed computer aided software.

In studies, it appears that many diseases are associated with temperature. As a result, the infrared images are thought to be a tool in the diagnosis of various diseases. Surgical operation simulation based on virtual reality 基于虚拟现实的外科手术模拟

Virtual reality model (VRM) of robotic arm is built in this study for the purpose of surgical simulation (virtual thorascope). Control of robotic arm with sensors is performed. Robotic arm and Virtual reality model are operated together in real time. Case studies are based on medical applications especially on Thorascopic Surgery in Gaziantep University, Medical Faculty. Different scenarios are implemented especially on thorascopic surgery in real time. An example is included herein.

Effects of muscle movements and gender on electrodermal activity 肌肉运动和性别对皮肤电活动的影响

In this study, it has been examined that the effect on the recorded skin conductance levels of the electromyogram signal (EMG) caused by muscle movements of the parts that connected electrodes. Electrodermal activity data were recorded in line with the prepared procedure from 10 female and 9 male volunteer. Signal processing program was written to examine the data and changes in the skin conductance level were analyzed for each volunteer. As a result, skin conductance levels in men for each interval was determined that higher than in women. Also in case hands are moving the right and left, the increase was also observed in skin conductance level for both sexes.
