Abstract. This study analyzes the relationship between human capital, employment sector and wages in Morocco. We first analyzed the role of human capital in the explanation of employment sector; then, we estimated the impact of human capital on the probability of receiving a high salary; while controlling a range of socio-economic factors. As measures of human capital, we have included the level of diploma, the field of study and the language of study. In order to achieve the aim of the research, a coherent methodology has been adopted. We exploited primary survey data. It covers 98 graduates from the Faculty of Law, Economics and Social Sciences of Tangier – Morocco, that were contacted in 2015, after three years of graduation. The main conclusion of The multinomial logistic regression models is that the Master's level graduates (five years of higher education) are more likely to be in a protected sector and to have a high salary than licensee’s level graduates (three years of higher education). Keywords. Human capital, Protected sector, Quality of the job, Salary, Young graduates. JEL. A23, I26, J45, J46, C35.

The paper employs different definitions of inequality/ equality and investigates how globalisation is associated with these welfare measures. The nations’ proximity to post modernism development culture through international cooperation may enable countries to strengthen their social, economic, legal and political institutions. We find that adopting well developed institutional governance practices as matter of greater integration with modern 21st century governance culture creates thriving middle classes in developing countries enabling a downward pressure on inequality of incomes and wages. In contrast, integration of goods and services with world markets puts upward pressure on the wages of skilled in contrast with the unskilled causing industrial wage inequalities in both developed and developing countries. The paper recommends in line with the recent literature on pre mature de industrialisation phenomenon that countries may protect their local industries to provide jobs to locals and thus enable the gains of trade to be more equally distributed among the populations. This can be done by choosing the second best option towards global integration and that is to promote regionalism within geographical clusters.

General Musharraf ruled the country as a self proclaimed enlightened dictator. His politics is as repressive as has been the case of any dictatorial regime. However the paper suggests that he did make a genuine effort to uphold Pakistani economy that witnessed recessionary trends in 1990s. This paper is a critical analysis of Musharraf’s politics in contrast to his economic policies.

The purpose of this study is to explore and explain what the process capital of Mongolia is, and its national wealth that affect and being affected by national competitive advantage. Using secondary data from worldwide sources in the last 10 years, process capital at national level of analysis was analyzed. Mongolians try to use the limited capital of mining first, but they need to develop knowledge about the more structural part of this nation’s capital framework just to assist industry of limited resources. We propose that this is an important part for business decision-making of policy generation that can be a reference for foreign investors.

The process of trade liberalization is more or less accompanied by a reduction or elimination of tariffs. In this sense, the preferential tariffs for foreign exporters aim to increase trade flows, ensure access to foreign markets and achieve social welfare. Namely, both before and after the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement in 2000, Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) realized some benefits from the reduction of preferential tariffs of the EU which aimed to ease the access of B&H products to the EU market. Accordingly, the question arises to what extent the preferential tariffs of the EU may lead to an increase in exports of products from the six leading sectors of B&H, observed on the basis of the volume of exports. In order to assess the effect of the preferential tariffs on the export of six leading sector of B&H, we applied the gravity equation, aggregate data on an annual basis from 1995 to 2015, and some econometric techniques, such as pooled OLS, fixed effects, random effects and dynamic panel GMM. The results of the coefficients have shown that the average preferential tariffs are significant, i.e. that have a positive effect on the overall exports. On the other hand, the results of the coefficient estimates of the average preferential tariffs on the individual export of six leading sectors have shown a significant effect in the case of half the sectors.

We examine empirically the effect of tax amnesties on long term tax collection when such amnesties are used by a government as a regular source of revenue. We use data from the Tucuman province (Argentina) to test the main hypothesis of the model, namely, that amnesties lower the government’s revenue, as they reduce the penalties and make evasion more profitable. We find, however, that amnesties do not affect the long-term revenue. The other main result is in line with the theoretical predictions: the increase in short-run revenue is temporary and only accelerates the collection of the taxes but does not increase the amount collected. Thus, we conclude that amnesties were used only to obtain a short-run surge in revenue and to avoid more fundamental tax reforms.
