This article aims, first of all, to encourage a critical approach to the Internet information handled by each user, and particularly hopes to awaken in university translation students the need of evaluating the documentation they are accessing and which they will work with in their future careers. This paper develops the project carried out in a general French-Spanish translation lecture of Alcala University, in which a series of website analysis grids were designed to help students ascertain any website’s trustworthiness.

Europe and Latin America have been the scenarios where populism has grown fastest. However, this phenomenon has also been emerging in other places that seemed not to have this tradition and did not have the foundations for it to grow. The emergence of the figure of Donald J. Trump has made many analysts see that populism has permeated the United States. Although this term carries a negative connotation, its investigation has become current, growing and multinational. In this paper, the figure of the president of the United States will be analyzed to see if there are populist approaches in his speeches. And for that, it will be necessary to understand this concept, its different approaches and it will be necessary to know what is the historical reality of populism in this country.

A communication tool like the Internet has been a huge revolution in our globalized world. Only in a few decades, the “Network of networks” has become the absolute protagonist in the field of virtual interrelations. And this technology, which facilitates the access and exchange of information to millions of people, has been forged in our socio-cultural context of Postmodernity. The result is an infinite conception of perspectives at the communicative level. Reality is frequently at the mercy of those subjectivities, capable of influencing large human groups according to certain interests. Therefore, together with the verification of the effectiveness and need of the Internet, this work aims to analyze the reason for the validity of these multiple truths, which have overcome the objective principles of Modernity (according to the supposed progress of Reason). In this regard, it is essential to examine phenomena such as the post-truth or the malicious use of social networks, which distort the authenticity of social and political situations of great significance. For this, it has been highly esteemed to extract essential notions of other publications, written or virtual, that address it with rigor. Likewise, it is very useful to analyze certain information on the Internet, which is due to the irreverence of pre-established interests. The conclusion derives from a necessary reflection on the alternatives of opinion that coincide with the individualism emanating from Postmodernism, with the Internet as an ally. Of the first order is the urgency of continuing to bet on education at all levels on an unlimited phenomenon.

Journalism and journalists play key roles in the cinema of Pedro Almodovar. The director uses the character communicator with superficial presenters in most cases and occasionally precise serious informants. This study analyzes the presence of means of communication or journalists in his last 17 films and affects the prevalence of frivolity and satire before the camera as it is shown four emblematic titles to Ticos: Distant Heels (1991), Kika (1993) Talk to her (2002) and Return (2006). The data is extracted from the doctoral thesis The journalists in the Spanish cinema (1942-2012), in which the professional and personal profile of the informers which appear as protagonists or secondary in Spanish films is analyzed during the seventy years

Digital technology provides narrative and interaction possibilities with the audience that have already begun to be exploited by televisions. One of the most recent is Facebook Live, which allows us, through Facebook, to broadcast live or streaming from a mobile device. The Atresmedia group adopted this tool in late 2016, both in Antena 3 and laSexta, incorporating it to certain profiles of these TV channels in the referred social network. These live broadcasts seek direct contact with the followers of the different television spaces and are part of a broader digital strategy, in which the social and the traditional audiences appear related. This piece of research focuses on analyzing how Atresmedia uses these live connections and if there is a strategy with some defined guidelines and objectives in the analyzed Facebook accounts, both in Antena 3 and laSexta.

Las evaluaciones o puntuaciones numéricas y los comentarios hechos por usuarios en los sites de alojamientos turísticos representan actualmente una forma de influencia social informacional de gran impacto en la toma de decisiones. Esta investigación se centra en analizar qué contenidos son relevantes en la primera etapa del proceso de selección de alojamientos turísticos; como integran los usuarios la información procedente de otros usuarios y qué tipo de interacciones se producen entre las evaluaciones numéricas y los comentarios. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo un estudio exploratorio cuyos resultados sugieren que, en contextos donde existe abundancia de opciones, los usuarios recurren a estrategias que les ayuden a discriminar entre ellas. Las evaluaciones numéricas adquieren especial relevancia porque facilitan y simplifican el proceso de preselección de alternativas. Se observa que la interacción entre la evaluación numérica y el número de comentarios confiere credibilidad y modera la decisión.
