Casos para Ensino: O Crescimento do E-commerce: Posicionamento e Gestão da Marca Shopmasp 教学案例:电子商务的成长:Shopmasp品牌的定位与管理

The online shopping sites that emerged in 1995 gave rise to e-commerce, which has constantly gained more participants over the years. Given this evolution, existing brands also had to improve to create market differentiation. This paper discusses the e-commerce market in Brazil and the region of Santa Catarina, which is the geographic focus of the company studied, and which was evaluated for fundamental solutions and results. This teaching case aims to explain the actual conditions in which Shopmasp exists, from the perspective of its client Matheus. It also focuses on positioning and brand management and possibilities for addressing this topic in Business Administration courses in areas such as Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Sales, mainly covering e-commerce and the influence of new technologies.

Casos para Ensino: Qualidade e Estratégia no Ensino Superior: O Caso da UniItalo 教学案例:高等教育质量与策略:UniItalo案例

This teaching case presents the dilemma of many higher education institutions present in Brazil face in an attempt to create a competitive advantage. In the case of UniItalo, despite its growth, the institution faced major challenges. In addition to increasing sector competitiveness and the presence of large players, there was a suspicion that accelerated growth could be harming the quality of students and learning. The progress of the case highlights the institution’s efforts in searching for indicators to analyze education quality in its various aspects, not only regarding student satisfaction, but also with respect to the level of student learning. However, many questions still hang in the air and there are still many challenges where the academic area must answer questions from institutional leadership. The case explores discussions related to Strategic Management of an Educational Institution (competitive positioning, search for differentials, analysis of the five forces and SWOT [strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats]), Educational Management of a Higher Education Institution (how to evaluate and achieve higher quality, assess satisfaction versus learning, choice of theoretical approach regarding evaluation) and Quality Management Services (concepts of service quality, perceived quality, assess when and where before, during or after the production process).

Hebron ® is a pharmaceutical company with more than 20 years on the market, located in Caruaru, Pernambuco, Brazil. The company emerged from the dream of Mr. Josimar Henrique, who is a man from a humble origins. He is a visionary who has built a 100% Brazilian pharmaceutical company whose research produces innovative medicines, with much research carried out in partnership with universities and research institutes. This case recounts the history of the founder, the company, and the difficulties in establishing the company, as well as focuses on dilemmas concerning changes in personnel management towards a focus on competency-based management.
