In recent years, "security" has become a major concern. Faced with a variety of potential threats ranging from terrorism and computer viruses to fraud and organised crime, many people believe the world is becoming increasingly unsafe. But what we are unaware of is that internal policy decisions could also impact the wellbeing of the people after which they can revolt against the government and could have devastating impacts on the economy. The present paper discusses how the farming economy if remains unstable could be a major cause of internal security in India. The paper also takes into account the recent famers revolts on the outskirts of Delhi and also reviews flawed farming policies which hampers the development of the rural faming sector. The policies today need to cater the financial needs of the marginal farmers as they remain impacted the most.

This article explores the multifaceted impact of IMF policies, particularly its conditionality measures, on economies and societies. Outcomes vary, including increased poverty and inequality alongside economic benefits. Labor market deregulation, promoting competitiveness but raising concerns for vulnerable workers and inequality, is also debated. In essence, IMF policies yield complex results, requiring individualized assessments. The article calls for further research to understand the specific influences of IMF conditionality on labor markets. This could provide insights into how policies like trade liberalization, privatization, and financial sector reform affect employment. It underscores the importance of considering contextual variations among countries when shaping future policies.

This paper is exploratory in nature and utilizes qualitative methods to understand the implications of two laws. The Special Marriage Act (SMA) of 1954 allows for inter-religious marriage and is heralded as a ‘liberal law’ which does not identify people based on parochial identity but sees them as ‘individuals’. However, the administrative workings of SMA suggest otherwise: giving a month’s notice, and calling for three witnesses, makes it a nightmare for those navigating it in the context of inter-religious marriages in India. Combined with anti-conversion laws, which by now twelve states of India have already passed, the moral vigilantism by right-wingers in case of such marriages and over-enthusiastic marriage officers who go beyond the law to question and act on objections, make SMA unattractive. In the background of the queer marriage hearing ongoing in the Supreme Court, which is calling for the amendment of the SMA to allow same-sex marriages, begs the question, can two calls for changes-one progressive and the other regressive be accommodated by the Indian state?

In previous papers, we have described a methodology of using meta-regression and Bayesian statistics to create a machine learning model that combines scientific research on wellness and longevity and responses from people’s lifestyle questionnaires to make recommendations on what people can do to live longer and healthier. One of the goals of this software is to use data collected from logs of people’s lifestyle choices to update the model and increasingly improve and personalize the recommendations made. One challenge faced here is that the elapsed time between lifestyle choices and the onset of disease may take years, making it difficult to make

The purpose of this research is to address the questions of what constitutes enterprise digital transformation and what factors influence the digital transformation of enterprises in Vietnam. The research model was validated using survey data and the SmartPLS technology. Among the factors examined, three were found to have a statistically significant impact on the enterprise's digital transformation: corporate culture, digital business strategy, and technology infrastructure. However, the research did not find statistically significant effects for three other factors: employee competence in information technology, enterprise governance, and competitive pressure. This research contributes valuable insights on enterprise digital transformation in Vietnam to the existing literature and offers practical implications for enterprise management.

Calculating people’s lifespan plays an integral role in industries such as health, insurance, and banking. On a personal level, people shown their life expectancies tend to adopt healthier lifestyles. The present paper describes a machine learning-based lifespan calculator that uses 16 personal parameters to calculate a person’s expected lifestyle. The machine learning model achieved an accuracy of 66%. Incorporating additional training of the model or adding additional parameters may improve the model’s accuracy.

In destination nations, especially high-income nations, highly skilled migrants make significant contributions to technology innovation, research, and development. For migrants and their communities, migration serves as a powerful engine for sustainable development, according to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. By transferring knowledge and resources, it improves the lives of populations back in their home countries, bringing considerable advantages in the form of skills, a stronger labour force, investments, and cultural variety. While some of these technologies are problematic for immigrant rights, others, like block chain, might have more useful uses. Every facet of migration is impacted by technology, especially the digital connectivity provided by mobile phones. For example, technology makes it easier for migrants to send money home and stay in touch with their relatives through facilitating remittances. Research and development (R&D) activity in destination nations is significantly influenced by Migrants and Diasporas, particularly highly skilled individuals. The paper will address SDGs and the realisation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by examining the technology-migration nexus. This will show that immigrants are essential for technical transformation and innovation processes in both origin and destination nations. Additionally, relying on technology and technical advancements is essential to both the migration process and efforts made by the government to control or restrict migration. Also it will be analysed that an essential conduit for exporting technology from destination countries back to home countries is diasporas and migrant communities.
