Pakistani English, recognized as a unique non-native, emerging, and indigenous variety of English, has evolved into an independent norm-dependent, and institutionalized language form. Diverging from Standard British English, it exhibits distinctive features in morphology, syntax, lexis, grammar, and phonology, shaped by socio-cultural, religious, and regional influences, contributing to its singular linguistic and cultural identity. Utilized across various domains, including education, commerce, and science and technology, Pakistani English plays a pivotal role within the Pakistani context. This comprehensive study sheds light on Pakistani English, encompassing its historical development, and conducting an in-depth exploration of its linguistic characteristics, namely lexical, morphological, syntactic, and phonological features. Additionally, it meticulously delineates the distinctions between Pakistani English and Standard British English. The research adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative analysis of linguistic data with ethnographic insights, providing a holistic understanding of Pakistani English's intricate interplay between language and culture. The study underscores the significance of these findings in advancing the fields of linguistic and cultural studies, offering valuable insights into the complex dynamics of language evolution and its profound impact on cultural identity and communication in the contemporary world.

To successfully and efficiently attain the purpose, personnel are seen as sources of development, innovation, learning, and progression. Nevertheless, a significant proportion of individuals choose quiet, refraining from expressing their beneficial emotions and concerns over the troubles inside their relationships. This research aims to use existing literature to ascertain the underlying motivations for employee silence and identify the many components that contribute to silence within an organizational context. The primary factors contributing to calmness are often acknowledged as workplace culture, fear and harsh criticism from the administration, lack of trust, and insufficient assistance from management. According to existing research, silence is a behavioral phenomenon that is linked to several work attitudes, including contentment, turnover intention, and organizational citizenship behavior. Workers are more inclined to express their concerns on corporate matters when a company fosters a climate of trust and has effective communication channels.

The study examines how population growth and climate change affect human development in Pakistan. The rapid population growth and escalating climate change impacts in the country necessitate an understanding of their implications for human development. The study utilized time series data from 1990 to 2020 and employed descriptive analysis, an Autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model, a unit root test, and a bounds test for cointegration to analyze the data. The study considered the variables for analysis, such as Human Development, Climate change, and Population growth. The findings revealed that population growth and climate change have significantly influenced human development outcomes in Pakistan, with higher population growth and climate change leading to lower human development levels in the long run. The implications of the study underscored the need for urgent action to address the negative impacts of rapid population growth and climate change on human development in Pakistan. The study derived several suggestions from the findings, including implementing a family planning program, investing in education, promoting climate change awareness campaigns, integrating climate change considerations into national policies, empowering local communities, and encouraging research and innovations in sustainable development and climate change adaptation.

The research explores the representation of Pashtuns in popular Urdu dramas during prime time in Pakistan. Data was collected from six highly-watched Pakistani dramas, namely Suno Chanda, Suno Chanda Two, Bulbuley, Uraan, Googly Mohalla, and Yaqeen Ka Safar. These specific dramas were chosen purposefully due to the inclusion of Pashtun characters. A quantitative content analysis method was employed to examine the portrayal of Pashtuns in these prime-time Urdu dramas. All six dramas focused on depicting aspects of Pashtun life. The study's findings indicate that directors, producers, and actors effectively engaged the majority of the represented population. The dramas, which were both romantic and humorous, maintained a high level of entertainment without resorting to obscenity in dialogues. Language and gestures were used appropriately. In scenes set in Pashtun villages, proper Pashtun attire was consistently featured. Notably, despite the fact that the female characters in these shows were mostly non-Pashtuns, they portrayed Pashtun tribes convincingly. However, in sequences shot in urban settings, female characters were seen wearing alluring gowns that deviated from Pashtun tradition. This shift in attire was accompanied by a change in the behaviour of female actors, who exhibited more vulgar expressions. These aspects, observed in city dramas, presented a different image of Pashtuns, contradicting traditional Pashtun values.

This study has been designed to examine the awareness level of youth [students] regarding knowledge, attitude, and practice about disaster management and preparedness. For this purpose, research was conducted in a public sector university, and students of the faculty of arts participated. A mixed research method (MMR), both quantitative and qualitative research designs, was used to ascertain the objective of the study. A sample of 352 male and female students was selected. A well-structured questionnaire was designed, and data was collected by employing a purposive sampling technique. However, a focused group discussion (FGD) was also conducted. The data was analyzed by employing the T-test, and a conclusion was drawn. The study revealed that most of the students lack knowledge of disaster management and preparedness as the awareness level in youth is very low, and they do not even know about the importance and different dimensions of disaster management and preparedness. Moreover, they are found unaware of the disaster phases and basic knowledge about the risks and vulnerabilities.

This study elaborates the connection between BD and CAD in selected upper-middle-income countries (UMC’s) by employing the panel data over the period from 2000 to 2020. This paper also tries to evaluate that weather the theory of Ricardian Equivalence or Keynesian Approach exists in case of selected upper-middle-income countries. First, we would apply the ADF approach to check the stationarity between the variable. After that, ARDL econometrics approach is adopted in order to check the long-run and short- run association among Current Account Balances (CAB), Fiscal Deficit (FD), Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF), Real Effective Exchange Rate (REER), GDP Per Capita Growth (GDPPCG) and Trade. The findings showed that FD, REER, GDPPCG and trade have positive impact on CAB. While, in the long-run GFCF affects CAB negatively. This paper also pointed out that the Keynesian Theory is more suitable for selected upper-middle-income economies.

The probation system, as a functional part of criminal justice administration, deals with low-risk offenders to rehabilitate and bring them into mainstream socio-cultural and family life. The probation system provides opportunities to convicted offenders conditionally and releases them under the supervision of a probation officer. This empirical highlighted the importance and effectiveness of the probation system and its impacts on probationers. The primary data was collected from probationers who had experience imprisonment before probation order from ten districts of Punjab province. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire, and results revealed that the probationers who were ex-prisoners perceived the probation period very positively, with significant impacts on their physical, psychological, and social life. The probation system was found effective in the process of rehabilitation of offenders under criminal justice administration. Therefore, the offenders incarcerated for minor offenses may be released on probation orders instead of constructing new prisons.

This article examines the links between democracy, economic development, and the separation of powers-with a focus on the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan. Under the 1973 Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, there is a separation between the judicial, legislative, and executive organs of the state, yet there is evidence that the separation exists more on paper and less in reality. The interference of one institution in another’s functions is not only constitutionally unwarranted but is also against the essence of democracy. The prime minister of Pakistan is allowed by the constitution to exercise all executive powers in the name of the president and to oversee legislation in the country. Due to political party discipline, legislative assembly members cannot delay any legislation proposed by their party leader. It shows there is a close link between the executive and the legislature that seemingly goes against the theory and practice of the strict separation of powers. The judicial history of Pakistan shows the paramountcy of the executive over the judiciary. Nevertheless, the judiciary, through judicial activism, including judicial review and suo moto measures of the Supreme Court, has also affected the distribution of powers between the executive, legislature, and judiciary in Pakistan.

The objective of this research is to investigate the impact of perceived external prestige, whether good or negative, on deviant workplace activity while also considering the mediating function of job satisfaction, job dedication, and organisational citizenship behaviour. The concept of perceived external prestige refers to the image that an organisation holds in the minds of its employees, customers, and outsiders. This perception may be influenced by several factors, including the organization's reputation, brand image, and overall standing in the industry. On the other hand, deviant workplace behaviour refers to the violation of organisational norms and regulations by employees, which might include actions that are contrary to established standards of conduct within the organisation. To analyze that, up to what extent are employees content with their employment, devoted to their work, and exhibit civic behaviour in the workplace?
