This paper reviews the influencing factors and pathogenesis of adolescent non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI). NSSI is a major public health problem, and its incidence is increasing year by year, especially among adolescents, with the detection rate of NSSI reaching 28.7%. This paper first introduces the epidemiological characteristics of NSSI and points out that there are significant differences in the incidence of NSSI in different countries and regions. Then, this paper analyzes in detail a variety of influencing factors, mainly including environmental factors (childhood trauma, school bullying, social environment, family dysfunction, etc.), individual factors (mental illness, neurobiological differences, personality traits, inadequate Emotion regulation, etc.) and the interaction between individuals and the environment. This paper also discusses the process of NSSI behavior occurrence, maintenance and termination, and introduces several theoretical models such as empirical avoidance model, four-function model and emotional cascade model. Although some progress has been made in existing studies, the occurrence and development mechanism of NSSI behavior is still unclear in existing studies, and longitudinal studies on long-term changes of NSSI behavior are lacking, and research samples are mostly concentrated in specific groups. Future studies should strengthen the longitudinal tracking of NSSI behavior, expand the diversity of research samples, and deeply explore the mechanism and complexity of NSSI, in order to better understand and intervene this important public health problem.

Broken windows theory, as one of the most famous and influential theories, was developed by JQ Wilson and George Kelling in 1982. Their thesis was that, if human 'broken windows' are not fixed, disorder will turn into serious crime because 'serious street crime flourishes in areas in which disorderly behavior goes unchecked' (Wilson and Kelling 1982:34). It was soon applied in many aspects of the society and most of them achieved good results.Among these applications of broken window theory, it has to mentioned the ‘New York Miracle’, which greatly dropped down the crime rate in New York in 1990s. But,broken windows theory is not simply applied in the case of New York. Instead, a variant of broken windows theory called theory ‘zero tolerance’ played a major role in controlling crime rate. Although ‘zero tolerance’ is similar with broken window theory, the prior focus on more on the law enforcement. The wide application of zero tolerance also triggers many researchers’ negative responses, who doubt the success of the realness of ‘New York Miracle’ and the validity of zero tolerance policing. Therefore, in this paper, we are going to analyze both the advantage and disadvantage of the zero-tolerance policing, and further discuss the effectiveness of the cooperation between the police and community and the situational crime prevention.

In the context of Chinese higher education, there is still blank in the English Medium Instruction (EMI) system, particularly in terms of subject teachers' attitudes and behaviors toward teaching grammar in professional courses and their perspectives on the professional advancement of this competency. Based on the existing research, the current study mainly examined how subject teachers perceived their roles and responsibilities in language teaching especially grammar, what strategies they will take to solve students’ grammatical problems, and their feelings and preferences with teacher professional development related to this aspect. Data were obtained from three semi-structured online interviews with three teachers from Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College. The findings indicates that EMI lecturers declined to take on the role of language instructors. However, in pursuit of enhancing students' overall understanding of the subject, they did incorporate certain grammar adjustment techniques in their classes and while reviewing students' written work, which is the initial evidence of manifestation of the grammatical Language Related Episodes (LREs). Additionally, the participants recognized the utilization of AI tools to assist students in improving their grammar skills. Furthermore, regarding the professional growth of EMI teachers, they emphasized the importance for tertiary education to stay abreast with current trends that training programs should assist EMI teachers with AI usage for grammar correction, as well as guiding students on the appropriate application of AI in their language learning process.

The culinary culture of the Tang Dynasty was extremely prosperous, with a wide variety of food and a meticulous production process. Moreover, due to the development of the Silk Road and cultural exchange between the central plains and Turpan, the diet communication between the central plains and western regions are especially frequent. The phenomenon of dietary Hu Feng in the Tang Dynasty is one of the main examples of Cultural exchange between China and the West and the absorption of foreign culture by Han ethnic group. According to the researches on the diet communication between central plains and western regions, it can be a different perspective to learn about the history and culture of Tang Dynasty. This paper mainly expounds the communication between the Central Plains and Turpan in the Tang Dynasty in terms of diet, which is analyzed and studied from three aspects: the overview of differences, the influence of blending and the possibility and inevitability of cultural exchange. This paper probes into the types and structural differences of staple food and non-staple food between the Central Plains and Turpan. And the spread of Hu food, such as Hu cakes and grapes, in the Central Plains, and the spread of the Central Plains special diet in Turpan. This paper analyzes the blending of food culture from the description of food culture by literati in Tang Dynasty. Finally, it analyzes the possibility and inevitability of food exchange between the Central Plains and Turpan in terms of geographical environment, historical reasons and phenomena.

This paper examines the "Five Chiefs System" as a grassroots governance model in Chongqing, China, exploring innovative mechanisms in urban grassroots governance from a networked governance perspective. Through a literature review, this study summarizes existing research on innovation in urban grassroots governance, highlighting approaches in technological governance, process re-engineering, and structural research. Building on theories of governance and networked governance, and using the "Five Chiefs System" in Chongqing as a case study, the paper reveals discrepancies between the system and its operational goals as well as the principles of co-governance in practice. Consequently, an analysis of the adaptability of the "Five Chiefs System" and networked governance leads to the exploration of innovative structures and mechanisms for the networked governance of the "Five Chiefs System." This involves developing a decentralized network structure with diverse entities and establishing mechanisms for integration, trust, coordination, and maintenance within networked governance.
