Abstract: Learning-centered models require using interactive methods, such as peer learning. In this context, student organizations are introduced as groups of students managed as autonomous extracurricular spaces in which they enrich their training process upon practical issues that promote peer learning, while encouraging lifelong learning (LL). Thus, this research explores undergraduate engineering students' perceptions about the influence of student organizations on the promotion of undergraduate research culture through a survey. Results have indicated that 91% of the surveyed students think that research is encouraged within these spaces, and 79% perceive that these organizations have provided them with the necessary support to start a research project. Finally, 87% have begun to consider research as an important factor for their professional development, in accordance with LL. Therefore, it was concluded that the promotion of undergraduate research culture within these organizations strengthens students' intention to develop their final degree project as a research paper. Abstract : The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), evaluates universities and institutions based on key parameters such as "Teaching, Learning, and Resources (TLR)," "Research and Professional Practices (RPP)," "Graduation Outcomes (GO)," "Outreach and Inclusivity (OI)," and "Perception (PR)." The study examines the top 100 Engineering institutes of NIRF 2023, focusing on their major parameter categories and their effectiveness in ranking processes. The study will be useful to the engineering institutes to clearly understand the areas of improvement and to have an action plan for better rankings. Descriptive statistics reveal that among five major categories RPP & PR and in the sub-parameters Financial Resources and their Utilisation (FRU), Footprint of Projects and Professional Practice (FPPP), Metric for Number of P h . D . S t u d e n t s G r a d u a t e d ( G P H D ) , a n d Economically and Socially Challenged Students (ESCS) have the lowest effectiveness among others, indicating their minimal contribution in the total score. Consequently, Institutes must focus on enhancing these parameters to enhance their total score and position in the NIRF rankings. The analysis of histograms and descriptive statistics reveals that 75% of ranked institutions score below 60% in RPP and PR parameters, indicating suboptimal performance in perception and research aspects. The study also highlights the importance of prioritizing efforts to improve RPP and PR scores to enhance the overall performance and rankings of engineering institutions in NIRF, as TLR, GO, and OI show relatively consistent performance. Keywords: NIRF 2023, TLR, RPP, GO, OI, PR, Descriptive statistics, Histogram.

Abstract :Classic feature of any research analytics system is to be able to provide a metric based on the given research data given like the citation count and other kinds of data it is important to analyze the given data and give feedback and understand performance of a given research department, Scholar or the research, So we used a novel approach to rate given person based on the research work and comparing it with different works published in the same area, it is to be noted that the score/rating only focuses on the domain rather than rating the whole scholars work this way we can estimate the scholar's performance with respect to one domain which several other types of ratings fail to do so. This method will act advantageously especially in research organizations where appraisals and giving research grants are usually done based on scholar's previous work in a specific domain. We were able to formulate results for 62 different authors from 8 different domains, these domains and authors were picked randomly so as to efficiently understand the working of the methodology we followed four essential steps in this approach namely gathering dataset, applying Glicko- 2 ranking algorithm, finding average rating value for all works finally calculating d-impact score using GPA method on the scale of 9. We can conclude that the result is a both domain-specific and more accurate representation of the author's impact. In work we gave introduction regarding methodology and description of existing technologies in section 1, In section-2 we described the need of the proposed methodology with few sample results in existing methodology and proposed one, In section-4 we described the methodology in step by step manner and also presented proposed algorithm with all the required formulae, In section-5 we presented analysis and actual summary of the results, In section-6 we presented the conclusion. Keywords : Author impact, D-impact score, Elo rating, Glicko-2, Research analytics.

Abstract : Higher education institutions focus on improving both soft skills and engineering proficiencies among students. The learning progress requires a systematic assessment to know the areas of improvement to meet global competitiveness. Selfreflections and critical reflections on knowledge, skill, and behavior are crucial for an industry-ready graduate. Our work deals with conceptualization, course design, and rubrics design to achieve critical reflections on the graduate outcomes of the students. We have designed the rubrics to assess the behavioral and engineering skills needed to solve complex engineering problems that can be solved better as a team for life-long learning and developing ethical interpersonal skills. Our assessment patterns also helped students achieve higher-order thinking skills through experiential learning. Keywords : Behavioral assessment rubrics; Complex engineering solutions; Experiential learning; Problem-based learning

Abstract: Educational infrastructure is moving towards rapid digitization to conduct and evaluate examinations for remote students. Many universities now offer globally recognized distance learning courses to cater to a wider audience. However, this transition comes with its set of challenges, particularly for professors and staff members who find themselves burdened with a substantial amount of manual work during the examination season. The tasks include setting up unique question papers for every exam, including different types of questions with varying difficulty, and eventually evaluating the answers given by the students, which is not only timeconsuming but also a labour-intensive process. To address this issue, the paper proposes a solution that aims to reduce the workload of teaching staff by enhancing the efficiency of the examination process. It does so by leveraging several natural language processing techniques for generating two types of questions- objective and subjective, and grading the solutions of the examinee. Additionally, subjective questions are further classified based on Bloom's taxonomy levels, providing a diverse range of questions that align with varying cognitive abilities. The automation of this process not only eases the burden on educators but also ensures a more streamlined and effective examination process, thus contributing to the broader goal of digitizing education. Keywords: Automated Question Generation, Bloom's Taxonomy, Workload Reduction.

Abstract: In the realm of higher education, efficient and user-friendly tools for result analysis play a pivotal role in evaluating the academic performance of university graduates. A systematic processing of the examination results and their meaningful representation requires enormous labor when attempted manually. The students are generally unaware of the computational metrics of semester grade point average (SGPA) and cumulative grade point average (CGPA) though they like to get updated on their performance periodically. In this study, a straightforward computer code is developed in C++ language to enable the students to calculate their academic progress (in terms of SGPA and CGPA) using the input data of marks and credits of individual subjects. The code is designed with simplicity and practicality in mind, to enable the students, parents, teachers and administrators with a versatile tool for comprehensively assessing the academic outcomes. The validity of the software program is verified by comparing the computational performance for three Indian universities, namely, Anna University, N. Natarajan Department of Civil Engineering, Dr, Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology, Pollachi - 642003, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu, India. itsrajan2002@yahoo.co.in University of Madras and Indraprastha University in estimating the SGPA and CGPA on a 10-point scale. The results suggest that the code provides an accurate and time-saving solution compared to manual calculation. The results demonstrate the code's ability to verify the grades by the students as well as their mentors to keep track of the performance. This user- friendly tool will be highly beneficial for streamlining the result analysis process, providing valuable insights for the academicians towards decision- making and strategic planning. Abstract :This article emphasizes on the importance of skill- based training and multidisciplinary approach in the technical education. To ascertain the effectiveness of such concepts, the activities and projects carried out in IDEA (Idea, Development, Evaluation and Application) Lab established under AICTE-IDEA Lab Scheme are focused and discussed in this paper. After undergoing an experiential handson training on the machines and software's available, as the resources of IDEA Lab, eight interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary engineering projects were completed by the students under the facilitation of faculties called Technical Gurus. The methodology involved in carrying out two such projects are discussed in detail whilst the other projects are listed. From the accomplished projects, it is observed that the training imparted in IDEA Lab and the experiential learning certainly enhanced the acquisition of multidisciplinary skills in the students, which are essential in converting the Ideas into Prototypes. Keywords: IDEA Lab; skill-based training; multidisciplinary projects; ideas; prototyping.

Abstract : This article depicts the effective way of using various ICT (Information and Communications Technology) tools by innovatively mapping threestaged micro-lesson plan activities to the different cognitive levels of the Bloom taxonomy. In recent times, educational institutions have shifted their focus towards making use of different ICT tools in their teaching and learning processes. Under these circumstances, academicians are moving from the implementation of traditional lesson plans to microlesson plans. The effectiveness of micro lessons mainly relies on developing pre-class, in-class, and post-class activities in conjunction with relevant ICT tools. Even after selecting appropriate ICT tools for micro-lesson plan activities, it still becomes a challenging task to match existing ICT tools with students' cognitive levels. The novelty of this article lies in explaining the different ways of mapping class activities with Bloom taxonomy levels and ICT tools. The proposed mapping is applicable to present and future academic teaching and learning needs. This article also acts as a guide for academicians' effective teaching and learning in any discipline. In addition, our article mentions the prerequisites for mapping and implementing the aforesaid traits. Finally, the effectiveness of our approach has been proven by examining the end exam results as well as by conducting feedback analysis received from stakeholders involved. Keywords : Blooms taxonomy; Class Activities; ICT tools; Micro lesson; Pedagogy; Teaching and learning
