At that moment, there was a turning in the way of telling the story of a person’s life: the biographer selected only important scenes in the life of the biography, delving into psychology to the detriment of the story of events and characterizing the characters using techniques from the novel. In 2017 a team of journalists making research on the activities of Eastern European Intelligence Services in Latin America revealed that Vivian Trias – a renowned intelectual and leader of the Uruguayan Socialist Party had collaborated as an informant of the Tchecoslovakian Agency (Statni bezpecnost). This unexpected revelation showed in a particularly dramatic way the Trias’ alternatives of political struggle against imperialism, and became a controversy within the diverse forms of leftist identities in the present days.

La publicacion de Ecopoemas del poeta chileno Nicanor Parra en 1982 constituye un hito fundamental que recupera el pensamiento ecologista de varios autores anteriores, al tiempo que propone nuevos paradigmas etico-esteticos capaces de articular subjetividades disidentes en los tres registros ecologicos (Guattari). Con este trabajo me propongo estudiar los ecopoemas como un espacio agonista del disentimiento. El trabajo se centra en la pregunta por los modos en que la ecopoesia de Nicanor Parra configura una performatividad y afectividad del disentir politico. Asi, primero analizo como la ecologia se construye como un discurso de resistencia instalado politica y esteticamente como oposicional; segundo, describo como este discurso configura un nosotros ecocentrico en el que nuevos actores seran capaces de producir los afectos y los gestos del disentir politico que promete una accion colectiva. The publication Ecopoemas by the Chilean poet Nicanor Parra in 1982 became a milestone that recovers the environmental thinking of several previous authors while proposing new ethical-aesthetic paradigms capable of articulating dissenting subjectivities in the three ecological registers (Guattari). With this work, I intend to study ecopoems as an agonist space of dissent. The work focuses on exploring how Nicanor Parra’s ecopoetry configures performativity and affectivity of political dissent. First, I analyze ecology as a discourse of resistance installed politically and aesthetically as oppositional in Parra’s poems; second, I describe how this discourse configures an ecocentric us in which new actors will be able to produce affections and gestures of political dissent with the promise of collective action. The present text contains a series of examples and considerations of the reflections of the first ‘Chroniclers of the Indias’ on American fossils and fauna. It is not as much a descriptive outline to visualise an often disregarded matter, as an interpretive reading of the key contributions bequeathed to the theories of land and life. The chronicles of Oviedo and Acosta are opposed in many senses in their conceptualisation of this problem. The first is resigned to perpetuating the scholastic model, although not without examining its limitations. The second formally presages evolutionism. I will attempt to reexamine said models in light of the Darwinian revolution.

Artaud’s life was a constant journey through mental health institutions that left a profound impact on his artistic sensibility. Since he got in touch with the medical establishment and with his own psychiatrists, he appropriated their language and techniques, to the point of conferring the poet with the role of therapist for an ill and decadent society that could only be cured and healed by a functionally cruel art. Surgical procedures, plague and electroshock are some of the metaphors he utilized to illustrate the way to wake the audience up from the mesmerizing slumber caused by diabolical doctor Calgary or his avatar, Adolf Hitler. The fürher figure, who Artaud always said to have met in person, was for him a sinister double of sorts that seemed to have distorted his own ideas about the Theatre of Cruelty. In the face hypnotic spectacles that persuaded audiences to accept a hygienist, racial and eugenic politics of a cruelty not known before, Artaud looked into Medicine to provide the tools to heal a collectivity that had lost its sense of life and whose individuals sleepwalked around the world.

espanolPara Paul Ricoeur, Derek Parfit es un excelente representante de la tradicion basada en la identificacion que Locke realiza entre memoria e identidad. Esta identificacion, que eclipsa ademas la pregunta por el quien de la accion, permite llevar la identidad humana hacia un callejon sin salida en el que solo es viable el abandono de una preocupacion que apareceria como una aporia. Como el mismo Parfit declara en su obra, la identidad no es algo que interese. Ademas, la tecnologia moderna y los suenos del post-humano, que se inspiran en la ficcion literaria del siglo XX, trabajan apoyados en esta identificacion proveniente del empirismo, y parecen reforzar la idea de dicha coincidencia y, en nuestro concepto, a ayudar a empobrecer cada vez mas la nocion de memoria. El articulo se centra en primer lugar, en el analisis que Ricoeur realiza de la memoria intentando enriquecer su reflexion desde una perspectiva hermeneutica. En segundo lugar, en el contraste con la reduccion empirica de la memoria y en el intento de sugerir algunos argumentos que permitan llevarla un poco mas alla del dato biologico y psiquico. portuguesPara Paul Ricoeur, Derek Parfit e um excelente representante da tradicao baseada na identificacao que Locke faz entre memoria e identidade. Alem disso, a tecnologia moderna e os sonhos pos-humanos, inspirados na ficcao literaria do seculo XX, funcionam apoiados por essa identificacao do empirismo, e parecem reforcar a ideia de tal coincidencia e, em nosso conceito, ajudar a empobrecer mais e mais a nocao de memoria. O artigo enfoca em primeiro lugar a analise que Ricoeur faz da memoria tentando enriquecer sua reflexao a partir de uma perspectiva hermeneutica.
