The objective of the work is to analyze the results and reflections generated in the meetings of the “Cycle of Discussion on Food and Nutritional Security”. In these cycles the constructions of the discipline are shared "Determinants of Food and Nutritional Insecurity", disseminating and valuing graduate work and documents on themes related to Food and Nutritional Security. The analysis of the topics discussed in Cycles, through content and similarity analysis, is considered as guidelines of the National Food and Nutrition Security Policy (PNSAN). Eight cycles were carried out, the latter being. All discussions are based on different themes that allow the context of the Food and Nutritional Security and include at least one of the axes of the PNSAN guidelines. Conclude that actions like these are important to stimulate critical thinking beyond the classroom and provide an exchange of knowledge between university and community, consolidating high school, research and extension.

: This work consists of applying software activities, developed by the coordinator of the extension project proposal, to students from the municipal network of the city of Cerro Largo diagnosed with dyslexia. The proposed activities serve as stimuli to increase and potentiate phonemic awareness, from games of identification and recognition of letters, words, phrases, rhymes and sounds, analyzing their effectiveness by comparing the performance obtained in reading tests performed before and after using the Estimugame application. Thus, the main objective of this project is to collaborate with teachers who work in the resource room, providing their own tools to stimulate reading in students with dyslexia. In this sense, from the extension project, it has been possible that many students with dyslexia receive specific assistance for reading difficulties, which has been proving effective every week. All participants are monitoring and overcoming, even if slowly, their limitations, seeking to improve at each stage of the project. Thus, we hope to help education professionals in the face of the difficulties that students have in relation to dyslexia, respecting their limitations and the subjectivity of each child to overcome their obstacles and build their knowledge.

The Festival of Jaboticaba, a traditional event in Sabara-MG- Brazil, occurs thanks to the "Sabara ?s Jaboticaba Derivatives Products Association" (ASPRODEJAS), which members produce and commercialize various delicacies from the fruit. Aiming to know the characteristics of production, commercialization and the potential of the city to obtains a geographical indication register (GI), were applied questionnaires to the producers and were collected samples of jellies and liqueurs for quality analysis. The results showed that the production is artisanal, and the commercialization is informal. Some of the jellies and liqueurs analyzed were out of the quality standards from the legislation and doesn't have any standard in the product quality. From the results, it can be concluded that the creation of a GI seal in Sabara is pertinent, although it is needed investments in infrastructure and technical training to obtain higher quality precuts.

Chemistry is a branch of science that studies matter and its properties. The guidelines for chemistry teaching emphasize that it should not be restricted to the transmission of knowledge. It has to make references to the daily life of students in order to facilitate the assimilation of content. Representations are used for that purpose, such as microscopic teaching materials, graphics and experiments so that one can understand phenomena through color changing, precipitate formation, etc. These procedures are generally based on the visual perception of students. What about students with visual impairment? They would be deprived of a more dynamic and playful chemistry teaching? In this work we present a proposal to develop an alternative teaching material for bringing the content of chemistry in a winsome and engaging way for such students. From the adaptation of images, graphics and illustrations of chapter of a chemistry textbook, we show that it is possible for students to assimilate several scientific concepts, which at first could be taught only from the visual perception. We also provide a suggestion of educational sequence for the use of the developed material based on our experience with a group of 7 students with visual impairment.

This is an experience report that describes the activities developed in the "It is joking what is learned" extension project, conceived by a group of women with the objective of offering theoretical and practical resources for the participants works with children up to six years old. Each toy had, necessarily, a pedagogical purpose to serve as a sensorial stimulus to the children, besides the playful character. Workshop participants were encouraged to use food packaging and school supplies such as paper, scissors, pencils and glue. For the construction of toys, guidelines given for the use of toys, according to the appropriate age group, and suggestions for building other objects indicated on websites. In addition to professional qualification, the workshop contributed to the strengthening of family ties, in that the learning can and should be reproduced at home.

What is the meaning of culture and art in the College education of students? This question is the starting point of the reflections brought to this article based on the data collected over the five years of the Procarte (2012-2017), a specific support program for extension projects related to the area of culture and art developed by the Pro-Rectory of Extension and Culture of the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys (UFVJM). The analysis and cross-checking of all researched material (official documents, resolutions, regulations and program notices, project worksheets, results tables) made it possible to construct a set of notes on this program, which should contribute not only to the evaluation of it as well as with the debates about the role of university extension in the processes of cultural and College education of students.

Non-formal education activities bring new perspectives related to dengue and other diseases transmitted by Aedes aegypti. The mobilization of several social strata becomes indispensable to minimize the impact caused by the vector in areas of greater concentration of cases, so the school is established as the door of awareness, involving students, employees, parents and the whole community. The objective of the activities developed was to approach the whole school community in an informal way, promoting awareness of individual measures to combat the vector. The contemplated schools are located in the neighborhoods with the highest incidence of dengue in the municipality of Passos, MG. About 600 children from the 1st to the 5th year of elementary school and more than 70 teachers and employees participated in the proposed activities, enabling the formation of a knowledge-based protection network on diseases and prevention.
