Exploring DSS for Personality Assessment: Influence of Personality on Citizenship 探索DSS人格评估:人格对公民身份的影响

The research has been undertaken with the objective of studying the factors of personality and its’ impact on Organization Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) among Information Technology (IT) sector employees. The study will help human resource managers in devising a strategy for selecting personnel who will exhibit OCB, thus helping organisations in improving their output. For fulfilling the objectives, descriptive analysis has been conducted on the data of 504 IT sector employees who have relevant technical background. The variables have been measured with the help of self-administered questionnaire. Data was analysed through Structural equation modelling technique. IBM SPSS Amos software has been used to fit the SEM model. The outcome demonstrated that variables of OCB and Personality traits are significant representatives as proved in the first order constructs. We find a high positive relation between Personality traits and OCB.

Adverse Effect of Work Role Stress on Family Role Conflict Among Married IT Professionals in India 印度已婚IT专业人员工作角色压力对家庭角色冲突的不利影响

Work role stress is one of the major problems that influence family role conflict of information technology (IT) professionals. The purpose of the paper is to examine the relationship between work role stress and family role conflict among married employees in the IT sector. The data is collected from 227 married IT professionals employed in different IT companies across India. The data is analysed with the help of descriptive statistics, correlation, factor analysis, and multiple regression through SPSS 21.0 software, AMOS for structural equation model (SEM) analysis. The results of the study revealed that all the determinants of work role stress do not affect family role conflict of married IT professionals. Determinants such as workload and work schedules influence family role conflict. In addition, the study findings bring out the relation between the determinants of work role stress and family role conflict. This study is important to IT companies as it helps to provide useful insights in managing family role conflict of married IT professionals.

An Empirical Study of the Most Preferred Attributes of Employer Branding: The Study of Engineers in Delhi NCR 雇主品牌最偏好属性的实证研究——以德里NCR的工程师为例

The current study is based on the preferred attributes of employer branding and their influence in the decision-making process of the engineers (BTech graduates) from the different branches. This study attempts to fill the gap by providing a scale on employer branding attributes. To test the scale for employer brand attributes, two studies were conducted. Study 1 applied exploratory factor analysis (EFA) with varimax rotation, and Study 2 used second-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The statistics were drawn from 362 students of BTech from four major branches like computer science, electrical, civil, mechanical engineering in Delhi NCR. Results show that the two employer brands attributes—job security and fringe benefits—have the highest impact on the decision-making process of the students. The current study provides the pragmatic approach from the students of four chosen branches of engineering in selecting the right employer.

Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility, Green Intellectual Capital, and Green Innovation on Competitive Advantage: Building Contingency Model 企业社会责任、绿色智力资本和绿色创新对竞争优势的影响:建立权变模型

The concept of green intellectual capital has gained substantial popularity in context of pressures from competition, environmental forces, and mounting stakeholders’ expectations for environment protection. Scholars have, investigated about the antecedents and consequences of green intellectual capital. However, those investigations look inexhaustive in terms of the research frameworks and contexts employed therein. Based on the systematic literature review, this paper builds a better model involving, both, antecedents and consequences of green intellectual capital. The model proposes that corporate social responsibility is a factor leading to green intellectual capital. Additionally, green intellectual capital leads to green innovation resulting in competitive advantage for firms. Importantly, the model acknowledges contingency theory and suggests that the relationship between corporate social responsibility and green innovation could be moderated by the extent to which a firm is visible to general public for its activities as well as the extent to which the firm is transparent.

Competence Assessment and Development for Managing Human Capital in the IT Sector 资讯科技业人力资本管理的能力评估及发展

With ever-increasing demand for software professionals, time has come for the information technology (IT) industry to unearth competencies required for software professionals. The majority of IT companies have been employing outsourcing software projects to inexpensive hubs in developing nations. Therefore expectations from highly skilled software professionals are rising. The purpose of the study is to recognize the technical competence levels associated with software professionals in a range of profiles which are found in India's major IT organizations. There are three basic objectives of the present study. The first objective is to conduct a literature survey of description of the software engineers in IT domain. The second objective is to quantify the competency levels of the software engineers in IT sector. Finally, the third objective is to conduct a survey-based empirical study on software engineers. The professional occupation is set up through seven successive profiles.

Influence of Career Adaptability on Career Satisfaction and Turnover Intention of IT Professionals 职业适应性对IT人员职业满意度和离职意愿的影响

The information technology sector is characterized by a dynamic environment with layoffs, although concurrently generating potential opportunities. To absorb unpredicted and hasty occupational shocks amid such volatility as well as possibilities, human capital in Indian IT industry have been striving hard to construct their capabilities that emanate from career adaptability. Current research endeavors to measure career adaptability and linkage with turnover intentions, career satisfaction, and job performance in the context of the Indian IT sector. Data were gathered from 401 Indian IT professionals. The findings revealed that career adaptability has a negative impact on turnover intention and positive impact on career satisfaction. Turnover intentions of Indian IT professionals are due to their career adaptability. Finally, a profound knowledge of the association of career adaptability with turnover intentions may facilitate us in discovering techniques to assist human capital in guiding the growingly multifarious career path, thus forestalling turnover intention and enhancing satisfaction.

An Empirical Study on Impact of Work/Family Conflict on Occupational Future of IT Employees: Environmental Support as a Moderator 工作/家庭冲突对IT员工职业未来影响的实证研究:环境支持的调节作用

In recent years, with the increase in growth of information technology (IT) companies and diversified workforce, there is an increased research on work/family conflict and occupational future. The objective is to study about the work/family conflict relation with occupational future with the effect of environmental support (support from organization and family) as moderator. The data is gathered from 392 information technology employees working in different information technology companies in India. The data is analyzed with hierarchical regression and correlation. The outcomes of the study divulged a positive relation between work/family conflict and occupational future. Also, the results showed that every environmental item does not moderate between work family conflict and occupational future. Therefore, work and occupational future is significant for the ability of the IT industry to provide practical awareness of employee welfare and improve balanced life, which might differ under certain specific conditions.

The Product Owner and Scrum Master are members of the Scrum Team, which play an essential role in Global Software Development. They must have some competencies that can overcome challenges in the global environment. This study aims to develop the competencies of these two roles and explore issues of global competencies. Researchers conducted a literature study to produce a list of competencies and in-depth interviews to explore the issues. Data processing uses content analysis and descriptive statistics. The author compiled questionnaires and generated three issues, then held a Focus Group Discussion for validation. Hedonic Pleasure, Cyber Dating, Live-In Relationship, and Social Acceptance Amongst IT Professionals IT专业人士的享乐、网络约会、同居关系和社会接受度

The purpose of this study is to examine the intricated relationships among hedonic pleasure, cyber dating, live-in relationships, and societal acceptance among professionals working in information technology sector in India. Data were collected from 269 millennials working in the IT sector of India via a survey questionnaire. Structure equation modeling was implied to analyze the collected data. According to the findings of the study, hedonic pleasure has a direct and significant effect on social acceptance, live-in relationships, and online dating of millennial employees. The indirect relationship demonstrates that cyber dating and live-in relationships can fully mediate hedonic pleasure and social acceptance. Employers, academicians, parents, and other stakeholders will benefit from the findings of this study in acknowledging the personal lifestyles of millennial employees towards social acceptance.

Managing Retention as a Stratagem for Employee Job Satisfaction and Organizational Competitiveness in the ITeS Sector 管理保留作为ITeS行业员工工作满意度和组织竞争力的战略

In this continuously changing contemporary economy, organizations, particularly ITeS, have to be able to antedate technological innovations and compete with other enterprises globally. This need makes important a company's ability to evolve through its employees' learning and continuous development. Securing and retaining skilled employees plays a significant role in this process, as employees' knowledge and skills are essential to an organizations capability to be economically competitive. This is possible only when the employees are satisfied with the work and the organizational strategies adopted to retain them. Therefore, the study focuses on the organizational retention strategies that influence employee job satisfaction. The results indicate that the six constructs have a significant positive association with job satisfaction. Further, the demographic variables have a significant association with the employee retention constructs. The ITeS organizations could use the conclusions to identify the downsides and make necessary improvements in enhancing employee job satisfaction.
