Organizations can implement enterprise governance of IT (EGIT) over the use of practices such as COBIT 5 and ITIL. Integrating practices provide a more comprehensive and efficient approach, enabling features that would be unavailable through individual practices. Therefore, organizations are now forced to adopt and adapt various EGIT practices. However, the literature lacks a proposal that can assist and guide organizations in assessing different practices in a multi-practices environment. To overcome this issue, this research intends to shed some light in this area by proposing an ontological approach for describing TIPA for ITIL PAM and COBIT PAM, using semantic similarity techniques to compare COBIT and ITIL process assessment core concepts.

The purpose of this study is to propose an integral model for the influence of the mental properties of professional literacy in social media on employees' psychological distress and investigate a managerial factor moderating the influence of mental properties of professional literacy in social media on employees' psychological distress. For this, using survey method, this study distributed the survey to 305 employees working at Korean companies. This study used a series of multiple regression analyses. In the results, first, invasion and uncertainty among the mental properties of professional literacy in social media increases employees' psychological distress. However, overload has no significance with employees' psychological distress. Second, perceived organizational support has a moderating effect on the relationship between uncertainty and psychological distress. However, perceived organizational support has no effect on the relation between invasion and psychological distress.

Businesses today need to respond to customer needs at an unprecedented speed. Driven by this need for speed, many companies are rushing to the DevOps movement. DevOps, the combination of development and operations, is a new way of thinking in the software engineering domain that recently received much attention. Since DevOps has recently been introduced as a new term and novel concept, no common understanding of what it means has yet been achieved. Therefore, the definitions of DevOps often are only a part relevant to the concept. This research presents a systematic literature review to identify the determining factors contributing to the implementation of DevOps, including the main capabilities and areas with which it evolves.

The intention to leave a job and the intention to stay at the job are considered the best predictors of staff turnover or retention. Based on this assumption, this study is aimed at analyzing the relationship between demographic variables (employee age, gender, marital status, kinship responsibility, education level), attitudinal variables (job satisfaction, affective commitment to organization, carrier commitment) and behavioral intentions (employees' intention to leave the job and employees' intention to stay at the job). From June to December 2016, on-line questionnaires were applied to knowledge-intensive organizations employees in Florianopolis, Santa Catarina State, Brazil. This article discusses the results and presents suggestions for further investigation.

Patenting software is a discussion not addressed in scientific academy regarding its context: aligning registers as copyright or as a patent, provoking standardisation and better understandings for improving production chains in economic sectors. This article analyses how patenting software is discussed in a scientific academy, reviewing article profiles in academic productions about this theme. Considering patenting software is an intellectual property, the article restricted the research to only software rights. The systematic literature review methodology was adapted from other authors' analysis process in the information technology areas. The results were shown via quantitative and qualitative study, analysing economic sectors innovation issues, regarding patenting software were discussed.

The self-efficacy of Brazilian data scientists' professional profiles was analyzed to launch new views on this profession, marked by fast technological changes and with a body of knowledge and an incommensurable scope of skills, as understood by these professionals. A grounded theory was built using a qualitative approach. It found the coping theory to explain the phenomenon after the emergence of self-preservation, as an adaptation strategy, and self-efficacy, as a striking feature of the profession. A practical implication is that self-efficacy has trade-offs both to threats and opportunities in the process of becoming a data scientist. The present article describes the value of the coping theory makes possible an in-depth view of the analytical expertise influence on threats and opportunities, and on technology adaptation choices.

Experimental organizations must rebuild their people management practices in accommodating multi-generational workforces. The idea of keeping employee experience as a central theme in strategy making has a positive impact on business performance in many ways. The main purpose of this article is to explore the concept of employee experience in the current HR context and identify its drivers and key outcomes. The study considered the four-phase research process: the physical space; the human experience; and the digital realm are the three important dimensions of employee experience. Top management in association with the new HR approach to set the tone and stage for a positive employee experience, not only increases employee satisfaction and productivity, but also engages the multi-generational workforce, competitive advantage, and sustainable growth. The scope for the further study could include the quantitative testing of the developed design, in addition to looking more in depth of the antecedents and consequences of a positive employee experience.

This research measures career adaptability among Malaysian ICT professionals using career adapt-abilities scale (CAAS). Career adaptability were analyzed for direct relationships with career commitment and intention to leave. Career commitment was also tested as mediator between career adaptability and intention to leave. Samples consist of 393 ICT professionals and data was analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results showed that career adaptability has positive influence on career commitment and negative influence on intention to leave. Career commitment was negatively related to intention to leave and it mediates the relationship between career adaptability and intention to leave. In conclusions, intention to leave among Malaysian ICT professionals are due to their career adaptability and career commitment.

This article proposes a research model that explores the social factors affecting knowledge sharing and employee engagement and examines the mediating role of knowledge sharing on employee engagement. Data was collected from 191 employees from a large holding company and the research model was empirically tested using partial least squares analysis. The results show that coworker congruence, organizational commitment, and participative decision-making affect knowledge sharing and employee engagement. The findings also reveal that knowledge sharing has a full mediation effect between coworker congruence and employee engagement and between decision-making and employee engagement. In addition, knowledge sharing also has a partial mediation effect between organizational commitment and employee engagement. This study is a pioneering attempt to understand the effects of social factors on knowledge sharing and employee engagement. The findings of this study will be helpful to organizations using knowledge sharing systems as mechanisms to promote knowledge sharing and employee engagement.

This study characterizes and analyzes information technology governance in a Brazilian institution of higher education. The methodological aspects included the quantitative approach, with application multivariate analysis, clusters and descriptive statistics from a sample of 62 individuals, and qualitative by means semi-structured interviews of ten professionals responsible for institution IT sectors. Analysis are presented a scenario in which IT governance can be characterized as a non-adopted practice and without planning for adoption. Aspects such as, lack of personnel, training, and planning of projects were observed as critical factors to IT governance implantation success. A bidirectional communication absence between IT and organizational management has led the institution to responsibilities dispersion and lacks horizontal integration with possible investments without adding value. The governance model identified was considered anarchic.
