Ablation of human dentin with Er:YAG laser Er:YAG激光消融人牙本质的研究

Knowledge of laser hard tooth tissue interactions plays an important role in laser dentistry. Pulsed Er:YAG laser was capable of ablating human dentin. The diameter and depth of ablation craters increased with radiant exposure.

We present a long period grating sensor fabricated in a large mode area photonic crystal fiber. This device is insensitive to temperature change but highly sensitive to refractive index variation (167.5 nm/RI or 2.57×10−4 limiting resolution).

Aluminum (Al) toxicity is the major factor in acidic soil that limits crop production. Our results showed that Al could disturb organelle morphology and distribution in an oxidative stress-dependent manner.

Tunable multicolor femtosecond pulses were simultaneously obtained by a cascaded FWM process in fused silica glass. Frequency up-shift and down-shift pulses with energies about 1 µJ, durations of 45 fs sidebands were obtained.

A sagnac-like interferometer is discussed. Its phase shift between the two counterpropagating light beams is realized by two outputs of a fiber-ring resonator. Calculation result shows this interferometer has an enhanced sensitivity.

The feasibility of stable waveform generation by aperiodic optical superlattices is numerically demonstrated. This method allows us to deliver any desired optical waveform to a predetermined location by including phase/amplitude conpensation in the generation step.

Thermal quenching of Ce3+: YAG glass-ceramic phosphor Ce3+: YAG玻璃陶瓷荧光粉的热猝灭

Fluorescence thermal quenching of YAG glass-ceramic (YAG-GC) phosphor was evaluated and compared to YAG polycrystal (YAG-PC) and GdYAG glass-ceramic (GdYAG-GC). The fluorescence intensity of the YAG-GC showed smaller temperature dependence than that of GdYAG-GC, although it showed more drastic decrease than that of the YAG-PC.
