Experimental results are presented, on their basis the HF (high frequency) cooperative MIMO system channel capacity estimation was carried out. MIMO channel modeling results are also presented, they are obtained using correlative, Kronecker, Weichselberger models. Channel capacity was calculated for the following cases: SISO, MIMO 2×2. The calculated characteristics are compared with the corresponding ones obtained from the experimental data. Conclusions about effectiveness of cooperative MIMO method application in HF communication system are made.

The present paper concerns the possibility of studying of weak anisotropic media, which is based on the use of open microwave resonator with a measuring hole in one of the mirrors. This approach is allowed providing the locality of observations, the high sensitivity to small variations of the reflected signal, the opportunity to explore the materials with high absorption. The use of quasi-optical resonator does not practically limit the frequency field of studies. The model of the open resonator with an inhomogeneous radius mirror, being used to describe the sensitivity of this method, is quantitatively allowed estimating the influence of geometric factors of the resonator and optimizing them for different requirements on local measurements, for the reflectivity of the objects under study, for frequency sensing.

The present paper concerns the activity of the microbic biofuel element which oxidizes ethanol. The intact bacterial cells of Gluconobacter oxydans or their membrane fractions were used as a bioelectrocatalyst. Thermoexpanded graphite (TEG) was used as a material of an electrode. The used strain of bacterial cells, as well as carbon composition types will make a basis of a prototype of a microbic biofuel element at development of the block of transformation and accumulation of electric energy.

The present paper concerns the possibility to use the microwave method to localize tumours by means of the combined horn antennas with dielectric resonator. Application of metal plates around the dielectric resonator allows adjusting the radiation pattern of antennas and VSWR. VSWR, S-parameters, chart orientation and interaction with multilayer dielectrics are simulated.

Mechanisms leading to the microwave generation breakdown and to the corresponding microwave impulse shortening in the relativistic virtode have been investigated with the help of CST Particle Studio. It has been discovered that this breakdown is conditioned by the qualitative change of beam dynamics during the process of the suppression of generation in the system. Obtained results is principally important because it may help in the long term to solve the problem of a microwave radiation impulse lengthening and, hence, the efficiency increasing of relativistic virtode. The optimization of virtode geometrical parameters (cathode-anode distance, cathode radius, feedback window size, plunger positions et al.) was carried out with the help of CST Particle Studio optimizer in order to maximize the efficiency of the device in a single-mode regime.

The hyperbolic metamaterials in the form of a long (infinite) metal pins in the background dielectric and plane-layered metal-dielectric heterostructures have been considered. The method of integral equations (volume and surface) and the method of transfer matrix for layered structures have been applied for analysis. The modifications of the transfer matrix method for periodic and quasiperiodic structures transfer matrices are presented. The solutions of the dispersion equations and the diffraction problems for finite structures are obtained. Hyperbolic dispersion law is considered in the case of the losses in the metal. In this case, there is a limit on the modulus of the wave vector. It is shown that in the structures the waves of infrared and terahertz bands propagate along the pins or layers with low losses and speed, not much different from the speed of light. Transverse to the layers waves are strongly reflected, and the structure is a thermal screen.

The feature of the phase shifter under study is a set of identical connected cascades in T-scheme. The results of numerical modeling are presented. The studied device is optimized for S-parameters in the frequency range; phase and amplitude characteristics of return loss and insertion loss are investigated. Thus, the possibility of modeling of a microwave module of an analog phase shifter based on a two-port cascade connection, is shown. The results of numerical simulation of multi-cascade analog phase shifters based on the elements with controlled capacity. These experimental frequency characteristics of the phase shifter produced on the basis of numerical modeling results are fully agreed with the calculated data.

The determination algorithm of underlying surfaces by pulse altimeter signals is described. The algorithm basis is the principle of comparison of reference standard distributions with a current posteriori distribution of a reflected signal's echo amplitude. As the result of comparison of statistical distributions a posteriori evaluation of correct discrimination is formed. The maximum of a posteriori probability has its own minimum in case of detected crossing of underlying surfaces border. It allows forming the evaluation of underlying surfaces border position.
