A Flower Image Classification Algorithm Based on Saliency Map and PCANet 一种基于显著性图和PCANet的花卉图像分类算法

Flower Image Classification is a Fine-Grained Classification problem. The main difficulty of Fine-Grained Classification is the large inter-class similarity and the inner-class difference. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm based on Saliency Map and PCANet to overcome the difficulty. This algorithm mainly consists of two parts: flower region selection, flower feature learning. In first part, we combine saliency map with gray-scale map to select flower region. In second part, we use the flower region as input to train the PCANet which is a simple deep learning network for learning flower feature automatically, then a 102-way softmax layer that follow the PCANet achieve classification. Our approach achieves 84.12% accuracy on Oxford 17 Flowers dataset. The results show that a combination of Saliency Map and simple deep learning network PCANet can applies to flower image classification problem.

Building Urban Land Information Management System in PostgreSQL, for the Case of Ethiopia PostgreSQL中城市土地信息管理系统的构建——以埃塞俄比亚为例

: Population growth and rapid urbanization have caused an exponential increase in urban land demand in Ethiopia. The information required for land administration and management has been tremendously increasing as well. Therefore, this paper describes the steps for a building database prototype for urban land information management system for the case of Ethiopia which results to develop an efficient and effective way of spatial and non-spatial urban land data management system. This research project will develop a central database system using a PostgreSQL software to retrieve, update and store the required data using a user-friendly graphical interface. System requirement and specification is devoted to a system design which incorporates the intended system behaviour using a use case diagram, logical design of the system using a class diagram. The design system is validated and tested via sample data which can store, retrieve, and update the required data as per the user requirement. Developing this type of urban land information management system, therefore, facilitates and increases the efficiency of land registration and related activities at the municipality level. Thence, citizens would be satisfied by the service delivery of the municipality. The land and real estate ownerships registration will also become automated. Furthermore, any spatial and non-spatial data related with the system can be stored in the database which will be ready for more analysis as to be able to use by policymakers, urban planners for the purpose of sustainable development of urban area infrastructural developments and land use policy. The research will lay ground for another task to develop CityGML 3D modelling for selected cities thereby contributes to spatial data infrastructure development to Ethiopia.

WSN Teaching Construction Based on OBE 基于OBE的WSN教学构建

This paper deeply analyzes the gap between the current WSN teaching status and the OBE concept, and on this basis, proposes the teaching improvement of the curriculum, including the re-setting of the training objectives, the adoption of the hybrid teaching model, and the student-centered curriculum construction. Oriented assessment and reform, and based on output or results, apply CDIO’s engineering ideas to the teaching process, use the project as a medium to break the barriers of the disciplines, and let the students integrate the knowledge of each professional discipline from the perspective of engineering and cultivate them. Engineering thinking, improving students’ self-learning ability, hands-on practical ability, innovative ability and teamwork ability have certain practical significance for improving the quality of applied talents in applied local universities.

Numerical Simulation and Experimental Testing of Lightwight Ballistic Armor 轻型弹道装甲的数值模拟与试验研究

In the security sector, the partly insufficient safety of people and equipment due to failure of industrial components are ongoing problems that cause great concern. Since computers and software have spread into all fields of industry, extensive efforts are currently made in order to improve the safety by applying certain numerical solutions. This work presents a set of numerical simulations of ballistic tests which analyze the effects of composite armor plates. The goal is to improve fiber-reinforced plastics in order to be able to cope with current challenges. Of course, the maximization of security is the primary goal, but keeping down the costs is becoming increasingly important. This is why numerical simulations are more frequently applied than experimental tests which are thus being replaced gradually.

Test of X-band AutoSAR Using Measurement Instruments 用测量仪器测试X波段AutoSAR

We introduce the stripmap mode test of X-band AutoSAR (automobile synthetic aperture radar) prototype in this paper. We design and develop a power amplifier, a signal demodulator, and use Matlab for post-processing. The transmitter of this prototype, however composes measurement instruments, an Arbitrary Waveform Generator (N8241A, Keysight) for chirp generation and a Vector Signal Generator (E8267D, Keysight) for modulation. Moreover, the COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) is used for data recording in this test. The resolutions of the prototype finally are 0.41 m range, 0.14 m azimuth.

An Overview of the Possibilities of the Variational Analysis for Exploration of Electric Circuits 变分分析在电路探索中的可能性综述

The paper presents an overview of the variational analysis in combination with the transferring coefficients of the electric circuits (EC). In the reference papers [1 9] the methodologies for DC, AC and transient analysis of linear and non-linear EC are developed. Some examples are presented in order to illustrate the approach.
