Background: Acute rheumatic fever (ARF) is an important preventable health problem in developing countries. Early detection of clinical manifestations leads to better management of the disease. Background: It has been almost 3.5 years since the first SARS-CoV-2 virus was first reported in the city of Wuhan. While the FDA has approved a number of drugs for Covid-19, the presence of the disease and its symptoms underscores the continued demand for an improved treatment option to effectively address the existing challenges. In this study, our goal is to identify pivotal protein targets, strongly correlated across lung, blood, and peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) transcriptomics datasets, to suggest promising targets for comprehensive therapeutic development across multiple tissues.

Background: SET-domain-containing 2 (SETD2) is known as the only trimethyltransferase for regulating histone H3 lysine 36 (H3K36) methylation, being involved in the generation and development of many diseases. Although SETD2 has been found to modulate oxidative stress in the intestinal epithelial tissue of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) samples, the specific functions of SETD2 in IBD development are yet to be fully understood.
