The aim of the current study is identify role grape seed extract on thyroid gland tissues, hormones and lipid profile disorders induced by L-Thyroxine by used dose 20 mg/kg. The experience including 40 male rats randomly divided into five groups each group consist of 8 animals, grape seed extract dose 150mg/kg daily for 30-day. Results showed that the animals treated with L-Thyroxine had significant increase(P<0.05) in thyroid hormones concentration and dencrease TSH hormone compared with their normal range level in the control group and the rest of the experiment groups, While groups in which grape seed extract (GSE) interferes with drug showed improvement in thyroid hormones level closer to normal range in control group. Also the results showed significant decrease (P<0.05) in TC, TG HDL, vLDL and in L-Thyroxine group, in addition to thyroid tissue damage. On the other hand animals treated by both grape seed extract (GSE) and drug showed significant improvement(P<0.05) in TC, TG, HDL, vLDL, LDL and thyroid tissue compared with groups treated with drug only. It was concluded from this study that grape seeds extract had protective role against damage caused by L-Thyroxine.

Klebsiella pneumoniae is an opportunistic pathogen that has been implicated as one of commonest cause of hospital and community acquired infections. The capsule of Klebsiella pneumoniae is an important virulence factor, involved in pathogenic mechanisms. So, this study aimed to isolateKlebsiella pneumoniae from different clinical samples from patients in Al-Diwaniyah teaching hospital and determine some virulence factors (capsulegenes)that used for serotyping of isolates. The study extended fromAugust to November 2020.A total of 31 isolates from 80 different clinical samples identified as Klebsiella pneumoniae by traditional biochemical tests ,Vitek system and 16SrRNA gene. The existenceof three genes from7tested capsulargenes wasdetectedby Polymerase chain reaction. The commonness serotype were k2,k54,k57 where K2 detected in 4 (12.9 %), K54 in 12 (38.7 %),k57 in 4 (12.9).But, the other capsular polysaccaride genes k1,k3,k5,k20not detectedin all isolates of this study.

Abstract The research was performed in order to investigate the prevalence of Eimeria spp in buffalo. Coccidiosis, is a common livestock disease include water buffaloes and nothing is known about the most pathogenic species of Eimeria. Since the highest prevalence of oocyst shedding and incidence of disease occurs in buffalo calves less than one year of age. The omnipresent occurrence and negative effects of the infection on health and buffalo growth output are taken into account. Therefore, both farmers and veterinarians should pay greater attention to infections with Eimeria spp. And there is little analysis of data reported in Iraq and the world regarding Eimeria infection in river buffalo spp.

Abstract Some of fused dihydrobenzo [4,5]imidazo [1,2-a] pyrmido [5,4-e] pyrmidin-3(4H)-amine derivatives were synthesized, theses derivatives derived from 4-amino-2-(4-chloro or bromophenyl) -1,2-dihydropyrimido[1,2-a] benzimidazole-3-carbonitrile (4,5), which prepared by reaction 1H-benzimidazol-2-amine (1) and p-chlorobenzaldehyde or p-bromobenzaldehyde (2) and malononitrile (3). These derivatives prepared by reaction compound (4,5) with with triethylorthoformate in presence acetic anhydride to give the products (6,7), then the products was reacted with aliphatic amines (hydrazine, methyl amine, ethyl amine, propyl amine and isobutyl amine) to give pyrmidin rings (8-17) respectively. All these derivatives characterization by FT-IR , HNMR spectra and physical properties.

This study intended to evaluate the seroprevalence of anti-Toxoplasma IgG and IgM antibodies in the sera of 630 women at childbearing age, and to link the outcomes with some risk factors. The enrolled women visited Zakho Maternity Hospital from July 2018 to July 2019. Their ages ranged from 15 to 45 years. All samples were examined using ELISA to detect immunoglobulin G and M, in addition to performing IgG Avidity test for seropositive pregnant women. The differences between seropositivity and age was significant (p<0.05), the highest rate (20.43%) for anti-Toxoplasma IgG antibodies in the age group 33-38 years. Women who had more contact with cats showed higher IgG and IgM seropositivity rates (16.45% and 1.26%, respectively). Married women had higher IgG Abs seropositivity than single ones (12.52% vs 6.31%, respectively), moreover, only married women were seropositive for IgM Abs. Pregnant women presented higher IgG Abs seropositivity than non-pregnant (15.21% versus 10.49%), with almost equal seropositivity for IgM Abs (0.65% and 0.86%, respectively). Anti-Toxoplasma IgG Abs seropositivity was higher in women underwent miscarriages than those with normal pregnancies (18.44 vs. 8.81%), however IgM Abs was only found among women who had miscarriages (0.97%). Women with triple miscarriages presented the highest IgG Abs seropositivity (37.03%). Chronic infection was found in 68.75% of pregnant women, whereas acute infection was found in 31.25 %. Following up the pregnancy resulted in 15 healthy births, 9 miscarriages, and 10 women did not show up. The findings of this study demonstrate the relationship between toxoplasmosis and risk factors in women at childbearing age, with the aim of decreasing infection rates through the health education and application of hygienic measures.
