The recent violence against the colombian indigenous people is integral: it is not only political or socio-economic, but also cultural and symbolic. Their resistance struggles show that, rather than passive victims, they are socio-political actors with a different life project. In this resistance, the short and long memories constructed by the native people of the country with a deep political sense are highlighted. This article considers the plural memories that are in constant dispute over the meaning of the past, both within indigenous communities and the rest of the Colombian society. It focuses its analysis in cases from Cauca and La Guajira.

The article aims to narrate the visit the Colombian militaries paid to the Nazi Germany. It is based on the idea that this presence was not only part of the relations between the two countries but, instead, it contributed to the formation of networks in interrelated spaces. These soldiers got into the German military world which, in turn, managed to infiltrate Colombia as well. The article inquires into what the parties involved wanted, who participated, what attitudes Colombians had towards that country, if those soldiers were nazis. It is concluded that three missions were sent and they do not only visited Germany, but they were also in other countries. Their reports are full of admiration for the host country and the journey raised their criticism, which is evidenced in the constant compasions between the two countries. However, knowledge transfer did not have much effect because American influence grew and WWII broke out shortly after.

Abstract The article discusses the importance of the victors' public investments and the editorial efforts of the defeated ones after the Thousand Days' War to present their history versions and reaffirm the importance of the processes of peace and national reconciliation. In order to do this, it is demonstrated the importance that the inclusion of some of these speeches and literary representations in textbooks had for elementary and advanced reading courses in local schools according to the official program.

This article evaluates the historiography built especially from architecture after the Academia Colombiana de Historia (the Colombian Academy of History) ceased its interest in gathering cities history at the end of the 1930s. To do this, a repertoire of authors constituted by some of the most important architects of the twentieth century will be used. They will consider not only the physical aspects of cities, but also their backgrounds. In this sense, this paper seeks to contribute to the understanding of the current urban history and, in a very partial way, to the urban and architectural history, although the latter correspond to another text for length reasons. It is also understood that the intellectual production in these areas is still dominated by architects or research centers in which professionals have a significant interference.

This paper aims to approach the administration and functioning of justice of first instance in the Parish district of Manizales between 1855 and 1865. Through the analysis of the judicial processes for sluggishness, games and forbidden dances, we want to show the capacity scope of the Neogranadinian State to establish an order in a peripheral society, and the roles that prosecuted social actors played in the social and legal fabric of that time. Our hypothesis is that prosecuted individuals were not mere spectators but that they participated, altered and used the processes of normalization of their practices to negotiate punishments, accuse their enemies, defend themselves from justice and flee when there was nothing else to do.
