Este trabajo discute la pertinencia de los regímenes de bienestar basados en los procesos de familiarización y feminización del cuidado ante las desventajas asociadas con el trabajo remunerado en México. Utilizando datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Uso del Tiempo (2014) y de la Encuesta Nacional de Empleo y Seguridad Social (2013 y 2017) se presentan indicadores que muestran la persistencia de dichos procesos en México. Además, se recopila evidencia empírica sobre las desventajas que imponen al trabajo remunerado (exclusión, desprotección y desventaja monetaria). Se concluye que la agenda pública debe avanzar más allá de la equidad de género, e involucrar a las instituciones en la reorganización social del cuidado, por la vía del mercado o del Estado, como mayor reconocimiento y beneficios directos a la seguridad social hacia quienes se encargan de cuidar. En este trabajo, se interrogan las posibilidades transformadoras del feminismo en un momento en el que se expande sin precedentes. En este contexto, aparecen nuevos dilemas: ¿hacia dónde vamos?, ¿quiénes son las compañeras en este viaje?, ¿caben todas las posturas en esta revuelta?, ¿pueden ponerse líneas rojas?, ¿quién es el sujeto que se hará cargo de estas interrogantes?, ¿hay solo un sujeto o se trata de muchos? La hipótesis es que el feminismo en la actualidad reconstruye un nuevo “nosotras” que afronta el problema filosófico-político de cómo considerar las diferencias sin reducirlas a una nueva unidad, al tiempo que permite enunciar universales concretos y abiertos, reformulando su comprensión clásica como formas vacías. Este “nosotras” es capaz de recombinar de manera virtuosa las diferencias, la igualdad radical y el desafío de lo común, e impulsa una de las preguntas más difíciles de nuestro tiempo: ¿cómo vivir juntas y juntos a partir de otros criterios ético-políticos en un marco de intensificación de la violencia, la vulnerabilidad y la desafección, y en un tiempo de crisis de las antiguas formas de acción política? This essay starts begins with an analysis of an article by Susan Leigh Foster that criticizes the applicability of Judith Butler’s idea of performativity to dance studies, and in particular, the role of transvestism as a subversion of gender norms. Foster proposes the concept of choreography as an alternative to performativity because it involves the historical imaginary and cultural memory of dance, understood as a subject whose analysis should be crucial to the reconceptualization of gender through movement. The article examines this dispute as a conflict between dance and philosophy studies and explores the differences between ontology and theatricality that lie at the root of the conflict between Butler and Foster. In this article I propose to present, from my field work in the Costa Chica of Oaxaca, Mexico, how the phrase how to do without a man, constantly repeated by women in this area constitutes a form of symbolic domination. Certain women have broken with this internalized belief, demonstrating that it is possible to get ahead without a man and often enjoying greater autonomy and control over their bodies, economies and lives. This is the case of the owners of canteens, women alone, who have made their struggle by going ahead as heads of family.

In this article we propose a critical interpretation of the Manifesto for 99% Feminism, which, taking up the slogan of the Occupy movement, calls for the creation of a global alliance between the various feminisms of the March 8th strikes and the marches against Trump in America. We are interested in discussing the routes proposed by the authors of this text -Cinzia Arruzza, Tithi Bhattacharya and Nancy Fraser- to create a hegemonic bloc that will be able to confront and transform the policies of neoliberal capitalism. At the same time, we wish to draw attention to the risks involved in a political proposal that expresses a populist feminism, which operates with abstract antagonisms that reproduce historical oblivion and epistemic hierarchies between the Global North and South and polarize current feminisms.
